that was a Kidney stone you passed, your best bet is to take it to a Urologist for testing. there are several kinds that can form, some from dehydration, others from calcium or other minerals. it gets tested for composition as if its not from dehydration it could be a variety that will continue to form in the future
the plant you wanted to magnify wasn't broccoli, but romanesco broccoli. You actually don't need the microscope to see those structures anyway as the whole flower has that structure also macroscopically. Probably the best looking vegetable.

I think the confusion comes from the fact that cauliflower, cabbage, and kale, Brussel sprouts and others come from the same species of plant called brassica oleracea but are different variants according to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brassica_oleracea
