Just thought I’d tell you, with British Ratpacks we get a small metal cooker and “fire dragon” gell, we then put water in our mess tins and place the meals in them folded in half, still in the bags until they are cooked.
After all that time we suggested you French MRE; hey, we were right to tell you ;) Glad you love it :) A bit bad you didn't get the menu with duck and (foie gras).
I think the British food is spicy because if it is very cold, it will help make them feel warm and maybe make it not so bad. Also no offense to French mre ( it was still very good) but the joke about the French being softies could be true as they have many treats, but the English seemed to be a bit more hard for the soldiers which is good and bad. Good because that will toughen them up and make them more focused on fighting but bad because it doesnt taste as good. as an Indonesian, i never see spicy fried rice with pork before, and welcome to the world of Southeast Asian cuisine, for europeans they will say it's spicy as hell, but for us it's nothing
I'm proud because british army can eat our "Nasi Goreng" from Indonesia in their MRE 😍😍👏👏👏👏👏. In Indonesia, that food was common food we can get everywhere or made it by ourself. It's spicy, yes it is. That is what makes Nasi Goreng a delicious food of Indonesian people.
