I loved how these two adult actors portrayed the older versions of Naomi and Icheb. They were charming and endearing and embraced the professionalism of being a Star Fleet officer.
I thought this was the best Chakotay episode, though I haven't seen them all. He was actually useful and had some great lines, in some episodes he's rather rebellious which isn't the best quality for a first officer.
When Seska sees the opportunity, she wants to conquer. All Seven sees is chaos and that's why she supports Janeway and Chakotay here: To bring back order.
Even though this is a different future that never came to pass, part of it did. And that part I am referring to is where Naomi & Icheb do officially become starfleet officers, once they are back on earth that is.
Mostly in part of 7 of 9's control and command, but I find it oddly fascinating that neither Janeway or Chatokay were attacked after entering the Borgified time frame.
'Shattered' is one of my favorite Voyager episodes. Seeing Kate Mulgrew having to play her character as naive, with a lack of understand future events was a neat story plot line. I'm sure Jeri Ryan wasn't thrilled about going through the Borg make-up once again. And Robert Beltran finally has a great episode.
Is it just me, or is temporary assimilation something that Seven would suggest even long after she regained her individuality? I've always seen her as a Human/Borg hybrid rather than fully one or the other.
@2:09 This is how E-Cheb can be saved! Young admiral Janeway steals back the temporal tech that saved Voyager in the first place. Goes back to this point in voyager's history with 7of9. 7 meets with full borg 7 of 9. They shift Voyager adult Naomi and E-Cheb's timeline. He'd be lost in the Delta quadrant but he'd be alive.
2:45 that's not the first time Janeway has look seven up and down, in fact there's more then a few moments in voyager that happen, she really didn't like her at that time, I think "TnA" was the term she used...
Seeing this scene just makes me upset all over again about what they did to icheb in Picard.
Alternative timelines…
What they did?

Especially Naomi. VERY charming. In my opinion.
My favorite part of this clip was when Chakotay used Sevens full title.
Good to know that Icheb will live a long happy life.
POOR ICHEB

Jerri reads the script: Damnit! Borg makeup scenes! Argh!

And 7 🎉
@@kbanghart I know about Seven, but I'm not talking about her in this situation. This is these two's story I'm talking about here.

There's no point. The borg are logical. They know the ship needs to be recalibrated. No point obstructing that
Borg dont react unless interfered with
That scene took place during the episode Scorpion, when the Borg and Voyager had a temporary alliance to defeat Species 8472.
Captain Janeway, meet Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 1, and future Captain of the USS Enterprise!
Don't you just hate it when the Space Time Continuum is up to it's old tricks again?

I like Icheb better with his eyeballs intact.
at least that guy should have played Icheb dying ...

Who cares. Icheb was a minor character, played by an idiot of an actor.

Hot
Excuse me while I cry :')
The only way this scene would make sense is if they walk in and wind Icheb and Naomi have like 6 kids.
These Borg only have one thing on their mind and it's disgusting. Assimilate, assimilate, assimilate ... *takes a beat* ... Dat booty.
Borg want only one thing, and it's literally disgusting.
Poor Icheb, for you it would be better to stay on Voyager.
Icheb, what did they do to him?
In Picard they tore out his Borg implants. That was the episode I stopped watching Picard.
