SIM Medium: Detection of Indole and Hydrogen Sulfide Production

  • This video lesson demonstrates how to interpret the results SIM Medium in terms of indole production and hydrogen sulfide production. Since we use Motility Test Medium to detect bacterial motility, we will not use SIM Medium to detect motility.

    It was very clear and he showed all the three different possible results, as a visual learner this was very helpful. He did not talk about the motility aspect though.

      if it's not motile the bacteria will be only on the stab line but here all the bacteria are spread in theirs medium
