Woo! My first CZcams mention :) I'm glad you were able to use the shaker case I designed. Those motor pins with the spinning weight right next to them were a big concern to me during my build; the case was designed to keep the wires out of the way of the spinning weights while also allowing me to route the wires in whichever direction I needed. The VirtualPinballChat community has been very helpful during my own build and I wanted to be able to give something back.
Looks really good in there! Great cable management! To be honest not a fan of the gear motor placement under the cabinet but I understand space is limited inside. If need 3d prints I just got a printer too. Happy to help also.
Great info as always , thanks for sharing your knowledge, much appreciated. I just finished my Legends pinball mod, I originally wanted to keep the stock tables but eventually went full pc build instead, no regrets , can’t tell it was a Legends pinball cabinet ….. very happy with the results
@MajorFrenchy do you find that adjusting the shaker in DOF works well or do you think a physical motor speed control (small boards on Amzn) are better? Just curious if you find it needs adjusting sometimes with different tables or the DOF setting works well for all? Thx!
Good timing . I actually removed the small shaker i had. I does not do a very good job. I had an original Stern Shaker motor which i just installed. What a difference. I highly recommend an original shaker motor.
@@MajorFrenchy do you have a link for shrink wrap tube and diodes for the gear motor and shaker? I think those are the only 2 diodes needed right? Thanks!

Pretty slick case there my friend! Good work.

Thank you Major for another great video!, i follow your steps!
You should of used the windscreen wiper for the back glass with a wiper blade Now that would be funny & cool.

Great Video. Wich kind of diode did you use for the RF-545 shaker?
1N4007
which fuse are you using for the motor?
can't you just assign the gear motor to the shaker motor in dof config? it would be pretty much the same, at least if you didn't have a gear motor.
You can.
Thanks French. Would love to see a comparison between this smaller motor vs the large one. How does the noise compare? 🤔
it is not so much the noise but the vibration. I will review it when doing some gameplay.
Does the smaller motor actually Shake the cabinet like the bigger ones? Not going for the noise affect hence the name. Thanks Frenchy!

Thanks for the info. What is the best way to connect a diode without soldering? I'm trying to avoid soldering when possible.
You can twist it with your wire, but ensure you have a solid connection . Then use shrink wrap tube to seal it off.

amzn.to/3vXLBdz : Diodes 4007 and the shrink tubes amzn.to/3QzAoZ7
What ways have you found to make the gear motor louder?
other than putting it outside the cabinet... that's it
What amp did you use for the shaker

Can I get an invite to the discord?
You don't need an invite, it is open. The link is in the description
