    Very good video. I never knew anything about crop in birds. Was the crop the issue that Pickles was experiencing?

      My vet said it was an infection due to clinical symptoms, however it may be a secondary infection as something else might be going on in her body due to her age. She didn't want to do an xray or blood work as its too much stress on her especially with her breathing issues and age. She is doing better. Thanks for the super chat

    Hi , i would like to know Do you use honey mixed in canary treat foods ? Some of CZcamsr- they said honey is ok for canary but on Google said honey is not good for the bird and make me confused? Thanks

      @Loveofpets  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hi, I do not feed honey Sticks to my birds. Too much honey or sugar is not good for them. They will eat the whole honey stick instead of food.
      A tiny bit may be okay as a treat but in my opinion it's best to avoid and offer healthy food instead

    Quick question.. my Budgie parents only had one egg hatch and the little is out of the nest box today.. Dad is hanging with it showing it "the world".. should I remove the baby at some point to it's own cage or could I keep all three together? BTW, I'm taking out nest box to prevent future babies

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  Před 3 měsíci

      Hi, you could keep together but they may want to breed once mature and then you may have to separate

    • @kalament1969
      @kalament1969 Před 3 měsíci

      Even with the nesting box removed? The baby will want to breed with its mom? And separate them permanently?

    • @Loveofpets
      @Loveofpets  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, even without a nest box they may mate each other and lay eggs in the cage especially during mating season. They may be okay during other times so it's best to separate during breeding season if they start to mate each other.
