  • This is our story of experiencing pancytopenia in our cats, Eddie and Cassie.
It’s a bit of a ramble in places but there is hopefully some useful/helpful information towards the end of the video if anyone wants to skip ahead.
Thinking of and sending hugs to all of those cat parents suffering or grieving at this incredibly difficult time.
    Nb. 13:49 I said 300ml was a unit. This was incorrect, I meant 30ml was a unit.

I'm so sorry to hear about Eddie, this is heartbreaking. Thank you for sharing this important information. Have just joined the Facebook group. So scared now of using any other biscuits than the Royal Canin Satiety that my boy is on. Sending positive thoughts to Cassie.x

Marbofloxacin (antibiotic), Tranexamic acid (improves clotting to prevent bleeding) and ciclosporin (powerful immune suppression)

Sending love to you Rebecca, we lost our lovely Liam similar symptoms last night. I wonder why my Vet never mentioned to me about the food being recalled when we brought him in on Tuesday and last night we had to say goodbye to him

So sorry to hear that, the whole ordeal has been devastating. The food recall only appears to have been announced on Tuesday, and some of the communication around it has been quite poor. Please help spread the word where you can, I’ll be thinking of you.

Hi there - I'm so sorry to hear about your poor cats, it's an awful thing that's happening! Our cat Cassie, after 6 months of monthly blood tests, has just been giving the all clear from the vets (so there does seem to be some light at the end). They're taking a cautionary approach, so I think if nothing changes/we don't notice anything untoward, we will have her blood redone in 4-6 months as they still really don't know much about the condition. If you have any questions please ask, and please keep me posted - thinking of you both

I am in a social.media group where people have had the covid19 vaccines and some of their animals have gotten sick and some have had to be put down. I'm not making this up.

@@inertiakreepz756 I suspect I won't convince you, but you have to be very careful connecting coincidence (chance), correlation (they are connected but not directly) and causation (they are directly connected). A potential cat food contamination appears to coincide timewise as vaccinations have been increasing, but as far as I am aware, the food contamination is much more likely to be scientifically plausible than any effect of a vaccine. The RVC have actually collected data on COVID infection and this increased number of cases, but they have not been able to draw a relationship at the moment. I respect the concerns people have about vaccines, but perhaps you should alert your group to this food recall and check to see if it could be sadly responsible?

But the group has been around since January. There have been dogs that have been peeing blood, some have developed cancer of the spleen, which is part of the immune system and blood system. All of it pretty soon after vaccinations. There is some evidence that the spike protein from the jab can transmit, according to Pfizers own information on their documents.I'm really sorry to hear about your cat. I am a cat owner myself and would be utterly devastated.
