  • Sarah and Andrew discuss the chaos on the streets of Britain, the hypocrisy of the rioters and looters and why Farage, Tate and Robinson should not only be ashamed, they should be held accountable for their stirring of hatred and skewing of the facts.
This isn’t the first time - and it won’t be the last - but Starmer’s first real test as PM has left Andrew and Sarah with serious questions.
Oh, and they both watch the pole vaulter Olympic clip about 6million times, for research you understand.

The last government never had any intention of sending criminals to Rwanda. If they had they would not have used Heathrow but a military airbase where demonstraters would have been prevented from interfering. The Rwanda deal was always a 'shut-everyone-up' showpiece.

Have you been to China to observe the Chinese way, I have been living in China for 15 years and have never, I reiterate NEVER seen behaviour from citizens and reactions from politicians and police like what is being seen in the West and Europe. Notice that he describes Tommy Robinson's tweets as "inflammatory". One can say that about anything that criticises anybody about anything. They would love to pin something on Tommy Robinson but he hasn't actually done anything wrong; quite the reverse - he has been calling for the violence to stop. It is far too easy to find scapegoats on whom to blame the violence. For example, who do you think contributed more to the riots? The grooming and raping gangs, the police and government bodies that knew about them but were too afraid to act for fear of being called rapists, or Tommy Robinson who was trying to make everyone aware of the existence of the grooming and raping gangs.
People are not really protesting because of the murdered little girls. They are protesting because they believe that the police do not police without fear or favour. They are protesting because of the grooming gangs. They are protesting because of the way that the BLM riots were treated less harshly than the folks who went out to stop those riots and any damage to the cenotaph or Churchill's monument. They are protesting because of the disproportionate amount of crime committed by some racial minorities combined with the fact that the police are afraid to target those groups with stop and search. They are protesting because there are 25,000 young muslim men on MI5 watchlists. BUT the group who are committing acts of violence and vandalism are doing it because they get a thrill out of it, and they have seized an opportunity under the protection of a crowd. They have seen crowds getting away with it before. Sure, they might have some grievances, but they do not have complex thoughts. They certainly aren't committing crimes because of Tommy Robinson or Nigel Farage's tweets. That's just daft - that denies people's individual accountability and freewill. When folks rioted in Harehills, who were the scapegoats then?

Why should we have to teach these two "journalists" the truth. That should be their job. This is like listening to two old women giving their simplistic opinion instead of two supposed journalists, very well paid who obviously just read the mail and who are just as clueless as their readers.

Here we have a view of female psychology from Sarah Vine @7m ''Civil Disobedience on this scale is not acceptable I don't care what the reasons are''. Anyone with experience of family meal times in a predominantly male household with a mother in attendance will know how she reacts if a discussion breaks out about something 'controversial', say, immigration. The men may get get excited and voluble at which point 'mum' will quickly want to dampen it down. 'Peace at all costs', seems to be the motto. With so many women these days in positions of influence & authority, it's hardly surprising that the authorities, don't want to address the causes of violence but only want to see it stopped and everyone punished.

couldn't listen to the whole of this tripe. but wonder if the hosts also think we should listen to just stop oil protesters/ anti student fees protesters and free-Palestinian protesters or just the most violent and thuggish protesters who were acting out of complete disinformation, burning mosques and blaming asylum seekers after an attack from a christian killer who grew up in wales. they talk as if there were two sides in these riots which is rubbish. thatcher faced mass protest for fighting the people she was meant to represent and implementing the poll tax and selling off our utilities such as water which we really see the effects of today. the counter protests against the far right (correctly named) were on the whole much more peaceful and far less shameful to the country

How do we continue with a project that can never suffer any form of scrutiny?
I’m not a thug - and I don’t blame humans for being human, when facing an existential threat. Am I suffering under an illusion, or do my fellow brits have a point?
How do you know immigration is working - since the riots are evidence that it isn’t all rosy as we might like to believe? You can bury your head, and blame the provocateurs, but the problem is nobody wants to talk about immigration.
Nothing racist or far-right about it - the outcome, riots and such are a thing of concern.
But what is causing the riots… The not talking about how all this immigration is going to work on an already broken system….
