I'm a husky chainsaw guy. I have six of them. They don't vibrate as much as I just saw Spirit the newest one I have is probably 2 years old. Now I'm not going to bait if Stihl saws better or not. From what I hear from everybody they are a little bit better Saw. But not enough batter to justify the additional expense! I don't use mine every day. I use it for personal items on properties. I've taken down hollowed-out elm trees that are three or four feet across. In town. I've dropped 75-foot and taller oak trees. Husqvarna saws work fine by me.

Need to set em up both using same chain and kerf to do a fair comparison. Get real technical same bar length. I like Husky but when it comes to top handles the German 150T and 200T/201T are hard to beat.
With Husky I think the 346xp, 372xp, 395xp were the best in their classes. That new 550xp Mark 2 is only a pound shy from their 562xp mark 2 which is sad…so I’d rather have the Echo 501p or Stihl Ms 261 if I was buying new saw today in that class.

Either one is a very good saw and I'd love to have either saw. But I'm a Stihl guy, so if I was choosing between them I would choose Stihl because I'm use to them and I love how great they cut.
But I can't afford either one of them, so I bought the holzfforma G111, a clone of my favorite saw the Stihl ms200t.

Well, the autotune 2/3 saws have a break-in period built in to the software that limits spark advance and rpm and keeps it richer for break-in.. after a few hours of runtime you'll turn it off and re-start the saw and you'll feel a significant power boost when the limiter goes off. They don't mention this but it's been found out by people who test them thoroughly.. also wonder if the autotune was calibrated beforehand and as has been mentioned multiple times by others, the bar/chain disadvantage.

I never operate the Husky T540iXP, for what I see in some videos appears the Stihl MSA300 like I have is a little faster but is no way the Stihl top battery last as longer as the hasky. In my opinion and I only can speak in regard to Stihl because is what I have in 3 different models, the saws are great no doubt about, I have use themes beyond manufacturing recommendations never have any problem in over 3 years just the battery technology still light years away for professional use.

Frankly why the heck are we still using petrol two stroke internal combustion engine saws in the top handle category in 2023? Husqvarna and Stihl need to go all out to refine their electric motor powered stuff. The Husky T540XPII is fine, what's the point in this upgrade?
However to comment....the Husky is running a narrow nose bar that puts more strain on the motor - but is much niftier to use up aloft in my humble opinion. Of course we use top handled saws on the ground! why risk running a back handle over your foot when you can lift a limb up to a much more comfortable position to cut it one handed - oh and stop you stuffing the chain into the floor! (yes we do use top handled saws one handed I must confess after over 35 years in this game - am I forgiven?).

@@MachineryNation The Husky T540 mark II's later released models and the new mark III are running SP21G .325 pitch/1.1 gauge chain as standard now, that Stihl is using 3/8, 1.3 gauge isn't it? So a bigger chain that will grab out more stuff (cut quicker) but doesn't cut so smoothly and leave a clean cut for pruning work.
I'd be interested in you comparing these new Husky 542i saws with a clutch vs the existing 540i. I don't see how a clutch is going to 'increase' power only deliver it a bit more smoothly but with more weight/complexity.
