@Tunda2 Yeah, watched it and it was awful. I couldn't think of a worse way to get Cody over. Destroyed his reign before it even began. Thankfully I can watch NJPW and MLW not ruin people.

Being 40 now, and having largely not paid attention to this universe for the last 20yrs or so, it felt SO good watching the last 2 nights unfold with everyone. Felt like a kid again. Incredible.

Saturday was my first time watching a whole Wrestlemania in almost 20 years and I enjoyed myself.

Cody earned that belt through years of dedication to his craft. Even though the match itself was scripted, you have to pass a certain threshold as a performer and as a brand for the higher ups to even consider bestowing you with this honor. Congratulations to him.

Especially the way it was presented. they’ve never done that for anyone and honestly I don’t think anyone deserved it as much as Cody Rhodes
People can say the matches/outcomes whatever are 'scripted'....they still put themselves on the line in that ring, risking injury & all, competed outdoors in the cold basically although the Sunday show had warmer temperatures....not to mention the stories behind the matches & performers, that's also a big part of it as well.

I agree, plus it helps that the ones in this interview were actual fans.
I remember in 2015 when after his dad passed and they were doing the Tag Team Tournament in NXT in honor of Dusty. Cody spoke and I think it was the first time I had ever heard him speak out of character and just as himself. He was very emotional and I immediately connected with him because it was so genuine and real. I think he's the perfect champion for the WWE at this time for that very reason. You can tell how proud he is to have reached this point and getting a chance to represent the company as its champion.

i think calling him a "crybaby" is OVEREXAGERRATED this man deserved every single moment with his family after victory and i am sure Dusty would be proud of him with or without the title......

The Triple H Era is something so special! It has been on fire 🔥 and for the first time in years WWE is cool again! I’m a 37-year-old man who watched growing up for probably the for probably the last 15 years, up to the bloodline storyline started to takeoff, it hasn’t been very good at all. Then once the bloodline storyline started, it hit a whole new level and has been pure cinema! And as a 37-year-old man I cried when the ref hit 3! It was a very very emotional moment for the entire WWE.

WWE was always a big part of my childhood especially the video games when people would play together at fight each other during the later matches or money in the bank. Also the games from 07-09 introduced to amazing rock bands from the video game and as a 30 yr old man who has never watched a match live I want to see one when they come to Madisson square garden and hopefully get a look at edge as he was always my favorite with his sphere move and amazing theme song intro that pumos me up during gym sessions.
