This full-sized Ford luxury car, four door hardtop will bring you back in time to a much simpler, automotive driving era. When Ford entered the lower-priced field of luxury cars in 1965 with the then-new LTD, they already had several price levels of luxury from the Lincoln Continental to the Mercury Park Lane. Car buyers responded favorably by buying 68,038 cars in the introductory year, and another 69,400 in its sophomore year, of which this Wimbledon White Model 57F is one of. With a contrasting interior of cloth and vinyl in burgundy, this was truly a great road car, and its exterior color of white shows the purity of the car as well as the time it was made. Equipped with the 390 CID engine and the new C-6 three speed automatic transmission, this cruiser is also fully loaded with many desirable options. It has a history that can be traced back to the original owner in Colorado. It's been repainted but remains mostly original. The four-door hardtop body style is something we'll never see Detroit do again; they really are elegant when all of the windows are down. A stylish, yet practical car ready to take you to wherever you want to go in high class fashion. Driving this car makes your day. You will forget to pick things up from the store on purpose just so you can go back as an excuse to drive this car. You will wake up early for work just to take a longer route to spend more time in this sweet ride. Our 1966 Ford LTD for sale includes: Seat belts, AC, cloth interior, power steering, radial tires, numbers matching. This car drives so well I might just buy it myself. Once you sit inside this beautiful machine you will want it in your home! Let’s put this car in your home. My Dad had this exact car! It had the basic 352 engine.

Seen one just like this in my neighborhood for $ 2500.. all original with 390 except front bench seat was replaced. Wonder if I should go for it.

Absolutely beautiful car with so much class and character! I love those original one of a kind that haven’t been restored. I find it sad that most people pay attention only to classic muscle cars from the 1960s, because full-size sedans and family cars deserve just as much attention and have the same heart and character. The 1965 to 1968 full-sized Ford’s were my favorite, but the 1969-1970 models started to transition to the more boxy look, and by 1971 look generic like they did throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s. Same thing with Chevy Bel Air’s, Impala’s, and Caprice’s. Their last great year was 1970, then the boxy look came in.

This car has as much spunk as any 60s muscle car (Chevelle, GTO) etc.. I prefer these 4 doors because they are rebels 😁 against the 2 door only mentality

@@modeljetjuggernaut4864 I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one that feels that way! Full-size Ford’s were a horribly underrated species in the 1960s. We had a sky blue 1967 Custom 500 when I was little, but it was a high end one with nice hubcaps, AC, and automatic transmission.

@@jondstewart Well even the the other big sedans - I have 2, 4 door 69 Polara and 4 door 70 Lesabre. I ran across a white one just like this LTD in my neighborhood and I really want to save it from just sitting there. There is hardly any rust, just DIRTY and hasn't been started in months. But I can't do it for the sole reason of checks and balances in place with the wife, and I already have two old cars plus a newer SUV. SMH, I just need to stop looking at the classifieds !!

@@modeljetjuggernaut4864 I almost ended up with a ‘66 Ford LTD 4 door hardtop similar to this one but was green with ivy gold interior 2 years ago, only had 11,000 original miles on it. Quite bummed I didn’t end up getting it let alone seeing it in person, someone probably bought it from underneath me since it only had a $2500 asking price, the guy probably didn’t know what he had and a collector may have ended up with it. There’s another one I might try to get this summer but is in the Galaxie 500 trim with 302 engine (engine isn’t original to the car), needs some work but those small block Fords from what I’ve heard can literally run up to 300,000+ miles before a overhaul.
