I know the video says thanks for 300 subscribers, but now thank you for 400! I have more in-depth videos based on Season 3 planned for the future!
I just subscribed and I really loved the cobra kai videos
@@snmstuidos7876 Thank you so much!
Btw the guy who says I heard you were the bully that guy played by Josh heald
@@snmstuidos7876 Did not know that, that's awesome! 😂
@@StryfetheWarrior you definitely nailed it with this video.
I loved how chozen was super intense at first but at the end of the episode he was soft. I liked what they did with that character, i think that’s where johnny is heading, forgiven i guess
I definitely love Chozen's redemption. I have a video on him I'm working in for the future.
That Honk was too innocent
I’ve waited a long time for this. Honk!
Great character development. I heard on the grapevine that it was at least partly Yuji Okumoto's idea. What's interesting about Chozen's redemption is that it neatly ties up with what had happened in the years after KK 2. Not only had he been living for the last 30 years with the shame of his errant past, but also with the added "burden" that it was Daniel who had saved his life. And I don't just mean in a literal sense when he spared his life. If not for Daniel and, by extension, Miyagi, he would have undoubtedly continued living life as an arrogant, dishonorable thug. That may explain why he was acting so standoffish when first meeting Daniel in season 3. People assume that up until he "honks" Daniel, he was merely trolling him. I think this is only partly true. Confronting Daniel after so many years, the very person that he had dismissively referred to as "a coward", must have rekindled uncomfortable memories of his shameful youth. This conflict of emotions is evident when he snaps at Daniel for touching the scroll, but then agrees to teach him the secrets of Miyagi-do. Daniel's words "I forgive you" was the cathartic release that Chozen had been waiting for. The smile on his face when he hands Daniel the scroll and says "You keep for your collection", is that of a man who proudly and honorably continues the legacy of Miyagi and Sato.
And Chosen seems to be having fun with the prank
I Cracked Up When The Guy In The Background Said To Daniel...I HEARD YOU WERE THE REAL BULLY!! & Daniel Turns Around Looking Like What The World 😂😂...I Love How They Broke The 4th Wall with That One In Season 3.
That was amazing!
Oh god a reference to a CZcams video
hawk beats the crap out of brucks
Tory😨
Literally every single cobra kai student 😱
Kyler😰
Kreese😇
Kreese on the inside: 😟😟
I'm hoping Brucks returns
I'd love a tag fight between Kyler and Brucks vs Hawk and Demitri
@@axelmok4_channel391 brucks knows better than to mess with them after that beating hawk gave him
True lol 😂😂😂
Hawk:🤬👊🏼 I’m gonna kill YOU
Brucks: 🤕😢🩸NOOO
Tory:😰 OH MY GOD THIS GUY IS SO BRUTAL
Students: 😧 so this is the power of cobra Kai
Kyler: 😱😪 WTF
Kreese: 😁😁🙂👍🏻 YESSS THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IM LOOKING FOR
One of the things I like in the final fight, is his both Johnny and Daniel end their fights using a style a bit more reminiscent of the other’s. When Robby steps in, Johnny is forced to use purely defensive karate to try not to hurt him, and when Daniel confronts Kreese he’s forced to use the offensive Miyagi-Do Chozen taught him.
They also both fail at completely following through on each other’s motto because of their children. When Johnny is fighting Robby with defense only, he literally messes up his balance and pushes Robby into the locker, messing up defense only and balance. When Daniel arrives, he blindsides Kreese, striking first, then he switches to offensive karate, striking hard, and in the end he seems to look to Johnny asking for permission to land a finishing blow on Kreese, showing no mercy, but stops when Samantha calls out to him.
Didn't think about that... well noted!
Jeez. Excellent analysis! One thing you may have not noticed is that when Daniel is fighting Kreese, he uses a sequence from the Kata he is seen practicing in Karate Kid iii (it is called Seunchin, and it is one of the core katas of Goju-Ryu Karate). This is the same kata that he performed in the movie right before defeating Barnes
Johnny and Daniel are perfect foils for each other.
Johnny wears black and red to symbolize the fire and aggression in his fighting spirit, but lacks purity and balance (although he IS starting to develop that as we progress in the series)
Daniel wears white to symbolize the purity and balance in his fighting spirit, but lacks fire and aggression.
I fully believe season 4 will be those two teaching each other to hone the aspects of karate that the other has mastered. Johnny learning balance and Daniel learning to harness his fire rather than let it get the best of him like it has so many times in the series.
This isn't to say that johnny's emotions don't get the best of him, it's just that he's willing to lean into those emotions (primarily anger) and channel them into his fighting rather than cause him to lose focus.
That is very interesting! I hope so too; I love how S3 ended for both for them.
@@StryfetheWarrior
Yeah, now that I'm reading my comment back, it's really similar to x-men first class where professor x teaches magneto that "true focus lies somewhere between rage and serenity"
kinda like the ying and yang or something
My favorite part is when Miguel steps up to Johnny and tells him QUIET!
That is one of my favorite scenes from Season 3 as well!
Mine too. 😎👍
11:47 The spaghetti is also a callback to Karate Kid 1 when Daniel snuck in the country club and got all of the spaghetti on his shirt when he saw Johnny kiss Ali
"That sauce burned!" - Daniel LaRusso
What you said about yin and yang is quite right, and is something I've noted in this last season. Daniel is all about defense, Johnny is about ofense. But as my Sikung once said "Good kung fu is the same as yin and yang. In every attack, there should be always a concept of defense. And in every defense, there should be always an intent to attack. If I attack with my arm up, the other should be defending below. If I attack below, my other arm has to defend up".
I hope the next season explores this yin and yang concept theme more deeply since now Johnny and Daniel joined together to teach, as I find it very interesting as a martial artist.
Your Sikung is very wise!
Kung Fu gets shit on in the martial arts community, but that is some straight up wisdom. Definitely better to have a great teacher in a "bad" martial art than a shitty teacher for a "good" martial art.
Johnny can't seem to mount a TV on a wall despite doing that for a living previously.
😂 He either puts it on the wrong wall or can't hang it up at all
@@StryfetheWarrior and makes it fall down
@@StryfetheWarrior it would help if people would quit bitching at him
I like how I never before noticed Johnnys TV falling and now I realize it's hilarious since installing TV mounts to walls was literally his job in the first season and this only shows that he actually sucked in it.
Good thing he had a career change ;)
For "Eagle Fang Karate", I was kinda hoping it was going to be "IRON EAGLE Karate" as that was the movie that started all of this back in the first episode of season 1 and got Johnny started once again. Probably a copyright thing, but it would have been a great call back.
I thought so as well.
There is one more little thing you missed (though many people would have it's rather obscure): When Daniel arrives at Chozin's dojo, there's a small shrine on the shelf. That is actually meant to be a reference to the magical shrine from the animated Karate Kid series!
Oooh! Yeah I know I missed a few when I rewatched this video. This Season was dope!
Yea the shrine had some weird powers and it was pretty ridiculous
My favorite part of season 3 was the last scene where the old friends/former rivals were reunited with high fives...asshat and butt face, bird and that other little guy, sam and Miguel and of course Dimitri and Hawk....I was jumping up and down and crying because I am a big softy lol 💜
It was really awesome to finally have them all working together!
Same
Quality video, my man 👍🏼 I enjoyed seeing all these callbacks and Easter eggs.
Thank you!
Finally someone spots out the light switch throw! Also the scene where Miguel and Johnny throw away the crutches and wheelchair is a reference to when Daniel threw away his bike.
I didn't catch it at first, but I did upon rewatching the episode and thought it looked familiar. Miyagi whooping Barnes, Kreese, and Silver is one of my favorite fight scenes from the original movies.
Daniel: within good, there's good
Johnny:there's good within evil
Miguel: the balance of both
Kreese: the absolute evil
In the Season 2 school fight, Robby wore blue and gray to symbolize his affiliation with Miyagi-Do (dispassionate, meditation, calm) and Miguel wore red and black to symbolize his affiliation with Cobra Kai (fierce, fast, passionate, merciless). Once Miguel showed mercy and Robby let his anger take over, the blue spiritually became darker and the red spiritually became lighter.
I knew the Blue and Red thing was intentional for those who were with Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai (or a mix of both colors if they were caught in a conflict between each dojo, i..e Demitri and Sam), but did not notice that Robby's hoodie essentially becomes darker (or more faded) from it once being bright. Awesome!
@4:30 this was an Easter Egg NO other Channel picked up on. 🤘
History repeats itself!
@@StryfetheWarrior it sure does. I think there maybe another lose Easter Egg around too...
Daniel: [confused, but intrigued] Have we met?
Yuna: It was very long ago, and I was a child. It was during a typhoon. . . .
Daniel: [surprised and elated] Yuna?!?!?!
Me: [crying like a baby] It doesn't get any better than this!
Same! He saved her life, and now she saved his.
One of the best scene in S03E05
Tomi village exists
Sato I am about to change this village's whole system
dang bro, you put a lot of work into this 👍 good job man
Thank you so much!
This was the series I never knew that I wanted.
My biggest fear was when Ralf Macchio stated that the relationship was like Ross and Rachel from Friends (also in season 3) was the will they won't they.
Problem is, like in Friends once they make the connection happen that moment is over.
They try to drag it out the moment is over.
Personally, I want season 4 being Kreese is beaten, Johnny is able to take over Cobra Kai fully but still remains friends with Miyagi Do.
Break the will they won't they, add a new element like an MMA gym that makes fun of their dojos for about making points, but not really the enemy of the season.
I was very reluctant back in 2018 before watching it, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's now one of my favorite things to talk about! I also like that idea, maybe an outsider gym that gets involved
I always liked the idea of an underground "no holds barred" tournament as part of the story (as a nod to the film, "Shootfighter" which co-starred Billy Zabka and Martin Kove ).
hey great video my man i’ll be waiting for more
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the videos you put, I like how detailed and on point your are in your videos, everything is interesting and now I feel like I know more than before, thank you for teaching us this and thank you directors for keeping this franchise alive

I know that one day this channel will get 100000 subs! Started loving ur vids when you only had 300 subs
Thanks man! Let's hope so
they are doing a great job with this series. a lot of love and respect to the source material. not what hollywood is doing the IPs of the past: star wars, terminator, ghost buster, star trek, dr who and more.
Agreed!
Johnny there is one animal that can defeat a snake
Welcome to eagle fang karate
Mongoose am I a joke to you
"A real animal, Bert!"
I don't know much about the video game but Great Video. I picked up some of these but you got them all. 👍🏼
Thank you!
The song Ali is introduced is “Wrapping” by the Waitresses. It’s about a break up before Christmas and reaching out to an old flame to escape life for awhile. Much like Ali’s reasons for meeting with Johnny.
Oooh! I knew that song sounded familiar!
@@StryfetheWarrior also in December 19th look at how johnny is wearing white blazer and black shirt on inside showing hints of balance in his character coming in later seasons.
Where Daniel is shown later to wearing white top and black trousers showing his symbolism of balance to come in later seasons.
Both colours are symbolism of ying and yang the traditional colours of their combined dojos
@@danwarner7816 Yep, I noted this in the final fight in the video. Pretty awesome
Great job!
Thank you!
6:45 LMFAO IT SOUNDED LIKE YOU WERE THE ONE TO SAY THE *HONK* 🤣
Haha, nah that was all Chozen.
Good stuff!
Thank you!
I gotta get the video game now, I had no idea that it existed or tied into the show! Great video.
Thank you so much! If I could make a recommendation, grab the Steam/PC version. The load times are non-existent compared to the console versions.
I like how in kk2 when Kreese is passing by and the announcer says he doesn't know true karate and he says Daniel should fight him and Daniel replys and says oh no sir
Then so many years later, Daniel almost uses a Fatality!
the daniel in blue and chozen/johnny in red is a reference to red/blue oni. a yin yang thing if I'm not mistaken. love the vid tho.
Ooh, didn't know that! Honestly I thought of it as the whole fire and ice thing because the game elaborates on that.
Chozen was wearing Black and yellow with black pants, Daniel was wearing his headband, a long sleeve button collar shirt with a red decorated Chinese jacket, and blue jeans
Same about the Miguel red and Robby blue
11:29 well yeah practically every photo booth like that takes four pictures lol
True, I was just calling back to how similar the date was between both generations
No wonder Chozen caught up to Daniel and Kumiko at the bar- I just noticed his toadie with the hat was standing at the entrance, and even does a double-take when he sees them.
In the original film or Cobra Kai? Either way I missed it
I had no idea there was an actual Cobra Kai video game before watching your vids. Makes sense for them to have insight for Season 3. I'm not sure how long Season 3 had been in the can, but I'm pretty sure it had been completed at least a year before arriving on Netflix. I hope Aisha eventually makes a return.
The game's first trailer led a lot of people to be turned away from it, mainly cause of the graphical style and the editing of the trailer tbh. However, the game plays very much like a fighter with its mechanics (and a beat-em-up of course), and I recommend it to everyone. Get the Steam version if you can as the load times do not exist in that port.
I hope Aisha returns as well!
Chozen's gi color is faded because he keeps practising karate, while daniel's clean white gi is showing his lack of training.
My friend explained this to me too. That's dope
601 subs now keep up the content
Yess! I'm mildly freaking out haha
Great video man, i love all the easter eggs, we kind of caught the same ones.
One that i noticed was Amanda referring to Tory as "Freddy Kruger" (because of the bracelet she used as claws)
We know Freedy kills people in their dreams and die in real life.
Tory Kills Samantha by drowning her in one of her dreams.
In the final match between Daniel and Kreese, if you pay close attention to Daniel's moves,he incorporating the "Miyagi family Kata" (from KK3) in this fight.
(The moves he uses during the fight are almost identical as the Kata).
Thank you! Great observations!
they are the original double dragons
Also everything Silver told Kreese after saving him, was a callback to Karate kid 3. When he said, you saved my ass, or, I'll always be there, which is what Silver told Daniel after he saved him from Barnes.
Ooh, very true!
14:30 A lot of martial art CZcams Channel have already confirmed Daniel is usually doing seiunchin kata. The one Chozen is doing looking like the beginning of Sanchin kata or just doing sanchin breathing which is done in most southern Karate styles like Goju Ryu. Not really a modified one of seiunchin kata which doesn’t have sanchin stance
That makes sense, as Miyagi-Do (both variants that Chozen and Daniel use) are based around Goju Ryu
Demetri training with his Gi on and with a sling bag is a small reference to Tommy also training with a injured arm.
Ooh good catch!
You missed.
The shrine from the animated series is found in the trip to Japan dojo as Daniel and Chozen walk in
Yeah, somebody commented that earlier! I myself haven't seen the animated series; I may go watch it sometime just to see what it's like.
5:17 "Now we get a shot of Daniel confronting Chozen as he (Chozen) says now we fight to death. Another shot not in the original movie." Do you suffer the Mandela Effect? Chozen clearly says "Now we fight to Death" and always has. You can verify this with any clip from KK2 and see/hear this.
czcams.com/video/2ds41U-mEfs/video.html
In the original movie, the shot is different and the fight is cut to make Daniel look more nervous. The unused footage shows Daniel much more braver with the shot of him saying "I know," and as he stands there confronting Chozen. As you can see in the original cut, there's another quick close up of Daniel looking nervous, while the Miyagi-Do episode cuts this out and sticks to the unused footage/shots of Daniel being more brave than he was in Karate Kid Part II. I never said "Chozen didn't say "'Now we fight to death,'" he says that in both cuts. Right after you quoted me, I also said "you can tell which cuts are from the original movie and which cuts are unused footage because of the difference in quality."
You can verify with the link I gave you and my video if you watched it.
are you going to do the video on daniel and balance in season 3
Yes! That is one of my upcoming videos in the future.
my fav moment of season 3 is when crease has a talk with the pervy landlord over tory . i been thinking she might be related to terry silver. they act a lot alike if you sit back an look
Yeah I remember that theory was going around for a while but then the writers officially confirmed she isn't his daughter
My theory is Sam will also here Johnny’s side of the story and Miguel and her will finally help them squash their beef. Because of course their styles will clash and they might even fight again before they can eventually come together and help their students lol.
Bobby did the same foot sweep that he did in the tournament not on the soccer field.
im sure there are few things spotted out for easter eggs
Easter egg game seriously on point.
Thank you!
My theory on possible chosen time in season 4: I think only way which chosen could come to America in season 4, if silver does something to Dayona company as we all know he is very wealthy and good spokesman.
That would be a viable reason for him to come to the USA.
Another thing: hawk saving demetri instead of finishing him at the end is a parallel to when miyagi saved sato during the typhoon.
Very true! Love the icon!
0:07 I agree
Awesome!
Not only does Johnny's TV always fall off. But during the dates when he's on tinder or whatever. The lady is pissed cuz he hung the TV on the wrong wall. If the TV wasn't on that wall. It wouldn't get blasted like it does
The yellow Ford the bully drives in the 1960s is implied to be the same car that Mr. Miyagi would later give to Daniel.
Ooh good catch!
Missed the ref to the spaghetti sauce on Danial in original movie.
oop
One theory is that shawn will join cobra kai made by cobra kai kid it might be true because Robby might recruit him and he is kinda an athlete so it might be possible
That'd be interesting to see, especially if Shawn gets proper training.
@@StryfetheWarrior and at the end of robby's juive time they seem to have a mutual respect for one another
I also wonder what about the tournament because shawn is one of the more aggressive. Characters so having shawn in cobra kai being taught under kreese and silver that would make him way more aggressive then he was in season 3
I just realized the car David shows up in is Mr miyagi's yellow car and he said he was going to sell it
Great catch!
dope
Thank you!
Season 3 was great. Seeing Johnny and Daniel work together against Kreese has been a long time coming. I'm just hoping that they keep that friendly relationship going and teach the kids the blend of offense and defense balanced Karate. They have a lot of similarities and I think can learn from one another.
Agreed! So glad they're working together now
Kreese really has no respect for glass
For real. Always running into it
Another thing not sure rather or not you would consider this an easter egg. When johnny changed His Dojo Name to Eagle Fang- Eagles Eat snakes And A cobra is a snake - Johnny Made It clear that he wanted Cobra Kai Gone for good When he last spoke to kreese. or like how Daniel Explained to robbie About his past with Cobra Kai and How their teaching Felt Good- After Robby followed Kreese teachings He chose to Strike shawn first in the nose Just how Daniel Hit that one Guy In the nose causing it to break in karate kid Three. Yet Robby was Smiling with pleasure after the fight Proving Daniels Point on how great It felt to strike first and strike hard.
Ooh, that is a good one!
What happened to Johnny's car and phone??? Johnny also made a reference about Time Machine. Did you pick that up???
No I'm not sure if I caught that reference
I hope for season 4 that Julie returns and we hear about how her life changed because of Miyagi and how stuff is going with her boyfriend in the movie, Eric, another thing is I wanna see Mike Barnes working with Johnny in Eagle Fang because maybe he feels like he got screwed over by Kreese and Silver
I would be ok with Barnes not being redeemed in any fashion, but I'm not opposed to it being something that makes sense. Julie Pierce is also a very important character in the franchise regardless of how you feel about Next Karate Kid (got a video on her in the future as well)
2:01 that car is Mr Miyagi/Daniel's car
I think it's possible, but Mr. Miyagi told him that all of the cars he had in Karate Kid 1 came from Detroit.
no one:
stryfe:HoNk
*HoNk*
lol
Him spittin facts: me the whole vid: NO F**KING DUH
Okay... So I know this is a stretch, BUT... It is confirmed that some of Zach Robinson's compositions are an homage to Power Rangers. I don't know how familiar the Cobra Kai writers are with Power Rangers lore, but in S3 Ep1 Miguel is fighting an imaginary opponent in his coma and once he defeats him he wakes up. This is very similar to Power Rangers Dino Thunder where Dr. Tommy Oliver (Black Ranger at the time) is in a coma and has to fight his previous three forms (Zeo Red, White Ranger, Green Ranger) and once he defeats them, they explain he was fighting for his will to live, then he wakes up.
...
A possible reference? Maybe?
I know the Mall Fight song was a tribute to Power Rangers, for sure. I only watched MMPR, parts of Zeo, and the Turbo movie growing up but a cool comparison to say the least
This Easter egg with Nate in the glasses I wouldn't be surprised if Sam gave him those from Daniel
That would make sense, the glasses are very similar
Yea that was mostly just played as a joke but I could imagine Daniel asking where are my glasses
another easter egg is that hawk mentioned a baseball game at the bar in season 1
Oh yeah, true that
Ok hear me out, what if karate kid 2010 was in the same universe as the karate/cobra kai
Who else didn't know there was a whole beat 'em up game before this?
When the initial trailer came out, it didn't sit well with a lot of people (which I think was really due to the editing, and the fact that the graphics aren't the greatest), so I think it got hushed as far as marketing. Despite how it looks, it plays REALLY well; very FGC/beat-em-up like mechanics. If you do plan grabbing it in the near future, PC is the way to go as the load times are non-existent compared to console
After the big fight in the end how didn’t my Boah Kreese get hurt,he was standing on glass
I think Kreese would've done the same thing Terry Silver said in KK3: "It's blood, so what?"
what is that game? Also, can I get it on ps5, it looks sooooo fun?
Cobra Kai is out on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS5, and PC (Steam). If you're able to, grab the PC version. It's cheaper and the load times are non-existent.
Ya Tory how dare u
The nerve of her
Will Shawn return in season 4 and join cobra kai?
It'd be an interesting theory if that were to happen!
do we really need Julie Pierce in Cobra Kai though? I feel like we have enough characters that we should build on
I think I'd be ok if it was a 1/1 1/2 episode thing like they did with Chozen, Kumiko, Bobby/Jimmy/Tommy
@@StryfetheWarrior oh definitely, this would be perfect. But I don't think Chozen wouldn't be back, with all that Miyagi-do knowledge and experience, he would be a great asset to the good guys. I mean we can assume that Johnny hasn't trained in karate in awhile seeing as he felt a little pain when fighting Kyler in season 1, and Danial too. But we Chozen had probably been training for these 30 plus years
Listen to the game came out when I was playing it I knew I knew this had tyent with season 3
I have a video on that too!

It's sad how he doesn't say the titles that are in Spanish in a Mexican accent. Also sad how he didn't mention Miguel's progress in recovery from when he woke up to when he can finally stand then walk then kick
I am hispanic, though I also have a speech impediment so sometimes I mispronounce words by mistake.
There is a video game? Wow lol
A lot of people felt iffy about it and I did myself, the reveal trailer didn't do it any justice as far as graphics; I think that's because it was also made by a small studio. The game came out at the end of October for consoles (PS4, Xbox One, and Switch). However, if you grew up in the 90s like I did and played a lot of beat-em-ups/fighting games, the gameplay is nice and fluid despite how it looks. I recommend getting on PC if possible, it's cheaper and the loading times are non-existent.
Its EAGLE FANG!
"A real animal, Bert!"
Do u think Ali missed Daniel whilst karate kid part 2 and 3????
From how Daniel overreacted to things at times, I would think he pushed Ali away pretty quickly with the misunderstanding they had at the beginning of Karate Kid 2.
I personally think that she would look back at the pictures the got together at Golf N' Stuff and miss the relation ship they had
You kinda sound like ailurus
Not sure who that is
but now its 2,14k
Indeed, have had a lot of awesome support!
6:25 wearing black simply means beeing a master or feeling superior in oriental countries.
Yeah my friend told me this as well when he was reviewing the video for QA. Awesome!
Hi
Hello!
I hated how in The: Next Karate Kid with with a blow to Colonel Dugan's face if you were gonna end a a crap fest weren't going to end it with something that made the 1st 3 movies amazing and iconic, but that movie jumped the Shark in so many ways it's not even funny that movie is just bad, whereas, Karate Kid 3 it was so bad it was good, for the longest time my top 3 Karate Kid movies was 2, 1, and 3 until Cobra Kai Season 3 which elevated Karate Kid 3 now top 3 Karate Kid movie list is 2, 3, and 1.
I think the scene when someone tells Daniel they heard he was the real bully, is a reference to the theories on the internet that say Daniel was the bully in the film.
Here´s a link to a video talking about it: czcams.com/video/C_Gz_iTuRMM/video.html
Yep! That video is classic
those arent easter eggs everybody knows those
