@Rerin YL It's very workload dependant. Some workloads you can get a pretty big performance boost but I don't think it's possible to get the full 2x due to the extra work from scheduling. That said many modders and custom builders put the two cards in with SLI when they have the ridiculous budgets and want the ascetic.
Hi Jay, with the release of the nvidia 30 series I'm planning on upgrade from my gaming laptop to a gaming desktop, is the first time I'm building the pc on my own, I've been watching your videos on picking parts, what to do after building, pc cases an so on, BUT right now I don't know how to install multiple fan on a case when the motherboard have like only 2 fans headers, I was planning to buy a X570 AORUS ELITE and it says 1 x CPU fan header, 1 x water cooling CPU fan header, 2 x system fan headers. But I have saw some builds with over 9 fans. Maybe is something to obvious but i'm a little lost in there. Thanks and is always pleasure to see your videos, great content!

I am waiting to see how they pan out in the next few reviews but I am already immensely impressed so far.
The colour, in my opinion is fantastic and the new design will look super in many cases.
I plan to buy a 3080 and a 3070 to mod two BeQuiet cased builds. (a Black-rimmed Black Pro 900 Rev2, and a Metallic Grey Pure Base 500).
The cabling adapter may present an issue to some individuals who may understandably, just want an out of the box perfect fit solution. But as a custom builder/modder, I consider it another welcome challenge to modding two already fantastic rigs.
By the way, I have no issues with those green LEDs that are constantly being griped about. I quite like them...
Jay, have you confirmed the pinout on the new 12 pin to ensure that other "standard" 12 pins will work? I am super careful of the cables I now use after melting down 2 of my Corsair Commander Pros because I thought all pinouts were the same when it came to a standardized plug. I used a modular cable from a EVGA 750+ Gold on my EVGA 850+ Gold and come to find out, the pinout is different. Would hate to do something stupid like that to a brand new GPU, as much as I also dislike that Y harness they supply.

This is the same crap apple pulled when they changed the charging cable on the Iphone ot a proprietary one and warned people against using 3rd party ones. At least their OEM ones didn't look like garbage though.
They have no way to prove that you weren't using the factory one though, so I doubt if anyone actually uses that terrible looking thing.

Jayz, is there a noticeable plate somewhere under the heatsink that supports the board from bending? That's my main concern with this cooling design as I'm eyeballing at the 3090.

As far as I know Nvidia got upset because youtube channels like Linus took apart their 20 series cards and this time Nvidia took precautions and did some stuff making it so that they can't take it apart, at least before launch.

Regarding the pewter-bronze color, I think it would look fine in a case where the interior is predominantly black. I generally use Noctua coolers which can be picked up in black which is about the only silver-chrome item inside my current case the case. The NVidia color might actually stand out a bit less than many cards.
Right your radiator can be fixed by using your airconditioning compressor on high with the temperature all the way up on 30 degrees or on 18 degrees in your car while driving to your local store on cold or on heat until the fan and the radiator starts working and then you will need coolant then set your airconditoner to your favorite temperature and you now have airconditioing

That 3080 belongs in my SG13 ITX case! With the addition of the gpu intake fan, I think the top is going to blow off since it`s mostly a positive pressure case, only the psu is taking air out.
I dont understand the airflow on it. Will airflow also exit on the middle towards pcie. I need a card that doesnt blow heat downwards due to m.2 ssd is 54 c with my 1080

I think the “Rocket boosters” may be designed that way so that they don’t cover up the logo on the side of the card.

they could have just put the logo on the left instead of the right
@@sanicmidgetking9393 My guess is they didn't put it on the left side because a lot of cases cover over that 'back end' part, making it difficult for the brand to be seen. But my opinion is they should've either done it or find a better solution on the card's design to put the power connector in a different place, would've been far better than what they came up with. A lot of people will use third party power cables that will cover the logo anyway.

The “Y” adapter cable is so you don’t block the lit logo. If you “wrap around” a single cable you will block the logo.

I found someone whom got a hold of an Asus Strix 3090 on offer up, however the asking price is $2000. I'd rather wait for big Navi to drop so i can compare and contrast and go from there.
Also the wire gauge of the included Y adapter is beefier which is why it woulld be a good idea to stick on using it. Also the aesthetic is kind of irrelevant at this point because of the location of the power connector. Even using that long evga power connector is still killing the aesthetic of the card and also blocking the logo. So the argument of using a third party power connector is moot in my humble opinion. I will personally use the included adapter since it looks thicker and better quality.

@@andreasm8207 You shouldn't mount the card vertikal, it would be very bad for the airflow. If you mount it to the Motherboard the LED is on the right side of the Front.

Jay said Pewter. Pewter is more silver (which is mostly Tin) looking than bronze (which is mostly Copper). To the eye, it should look like Silver. I think the color might be off in the video for the card (if it is Pewter as Jay said)

The color is beautiful, it looks almost identical to my old bike. It was a Kawasaki Ninja in "Raw Titanium". The pass through cooler should give some interesting options for vertical mounts using it as a side exhaust out of the case. Still waiting on big navi before I do anything though, I've waited this long to build a new rig I can wait another month.
