Developed by Chris Sorrell/Steve Bak and published by Millennium 1991
One of the greatest platform games for the Commodore Amiga, Chris Sorrell and Steve Bak proved that the Amiga and it's OCS chipset - 6 years old by this point - were quite capable of producing graphics and gameplay equal to that of the 16-bit consoles from Sega and Nintendo.
I've already played and created a video of the Amiga CD32 version of James Pond 2, and while the CD music and AGA graphics are great, the OCS version I played on my A500 will always be my favourite - happy times!

Merry Christmas folks!
I've searching this game for so many years I thought I just made it up in a feverish dream... gosh the memories
Megadrive version is better.
Design, programming and graphics by.... one person! How times have changed.
So it wasn’t some crazy fever dream?! My dad randomly put this on my R4 card when I was like 8 and I had no clue what i was doing 💀💀
I learned as a kid that access to the cheat table is by typing in main screen "little mermaid"
I have always wondered if McVities actually paid to have Penguin advertised at the beginning or if it was just the developers paying homage to their favourite chocolate bar. The amount of Easter eggs and hidden areas in this game was incredible, you could play it every day for a year and still find new secrets.
I want these times back ❤️😊
Yeah, I was playing the hell out of this back in 1991.
James Pond 2 was one of my favourite Amiga games. The graphics, the gameplay, the music, the Easter eggs, the themed levels.....playing it was a magical experience.
This game always felt very Christmassy.
this game is legit my childhood damn. i used to play it so much and had so much fun but really i had no idea what i was actually doing
There are so many conversions, even for PS2, but Amiga 500 original will always have special place in my heart :) Merry Christmas everyone :)
This triggers my nostalgia gland more than any other game
I was waiting for him to pick up Cake, Hammer, Earth, Apple, Tap @
Why can I hum along those songs like it was yesterday that I played this? 😭 This was one of my favourite Amiga games, so many happy memories. ❤
My parents got me a Sega for my birthday in 92.. It came with Sonic but they picked this up as well. Still one of my favorite games for Sega. Definitely has the best memories because it was the only game my mom could play so we'd sit there for hours playing together.
I could never get past the musical note level! Nice to watch this vid to see what I was deprived of after it! Thank you!
Remember being young? You were so happy back then. Getting super excited whenever your parents told you we were going to your uncle's place, because your slighty older cousin had an Amiga and would let you play this trippy as fuck game.
Richard Joseph's in-game tunes are just superb, some of the Amiga's finest!
