I love Raul and Caroline such good people.
I know very nice and kind
@@Jayismynickname Would be funny af if they kidnapped him after being so nice 😂
Gotta be honest, this is a blessing. He's getting an OG look at Mexico. ✌️🤙
ok
Seriously, they seem like great people.
Ever since finding your channel I’ve been absolutely HOOKED. Super original and your personality is just spectacular. Keep up the great content!
Here another one, came here a few weeks ago and already saw all his vids. Nice to follow! :)
It's like a reward to watch his channel
Yes make Birrria tacos, it be interesting to see.
Birria is a Mexican dish from the state of Jalisco. The dish is a meat stew traditionally made from goat meat, but occasionally made from beef or mutton. 🌮 🌮 🌮 🌯 🌮 🌯 🌮 🌯 🌮 🌮 🌮
noooo he's gotta go get one of those clams and make that first!!!! then birria!
Would love to see this 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for that info.. Lowkey interesting
Puros Corridos Tumbados alv
Birrria tacos estilo Tijuana are better.
Maverick has a pair of adopted Mexican parents now too. He's so lucky. 😞
I love being able to live vicariously through you. Keep on trucking Mav, you’re living our dreams.
I am LIVING for this Mexico series Mav!!! Thanks for the content!!
So cool
Birria (Beer-e-ya) and yes we want to see you cook the dish. All my best from Mexico City. Watching along with every upload!!!
We have Birria taco/pupusa shop here in Portland Oregon…if this the same thing, the tacos are amazing…
Mav videos make my day alot brighter. Mav is the man, keep on truckin.
You've been doing some good eating out there Mav! That's the best way to enjoy Mexico. A lot of the culture is in the food. Keep on truckin
The culture is always in the food, bud!
you should definitely attempt and make birria tacos. it’ll make for an interesting video
Yes ! I would love to see that !
But it's just so messy in a truck with the consume.
Major work* need a huge pot as well.
People are so kind to our little pony. Food was looking delicious as always. Thanks for sharing your tour.
You’ve inspired me to buy a small camper and hit the road this summer, probably into the fall and winter also. You’re truly living life to the fullest my friend. If you’re ever in southeastern Kentucky, give me a shout, I know all the great camping spots.
western here
I heard lots of people are buying land over there. Is it true?
Good luck
@@Erik-yh4gt yeah people are buying land sight unseen just to get away from the city.
@@Erik-yh4gt In Western KY?
Land prices have went up for 2 decades.
If you ever get the chance, I think you'd enjoy a crappie catch and cook. My grandma just tosses the fillets in corn meal, then fries them in oil. They are super flaky, and it's very white meat. Doesn't taste fishy at all. They're especially good if you squeeze some lemon juice over them. She makes hush puppies with them too. Love the videos by the way, keep on truckin🤙🏻
I love what you wrote, sounds so good..
I spent some time in Georgia as a kid..
I love hush puppies...
Their so bomb..!
Your grandma fries her like my grandmother does. She fried her blue gill that way also. But instead of hush puppies she made hot water cornbread.
@@linedanzer4302 sounds good👌🏻
Sounds awesome! Heard their pretty easy to catch also
@@streetfighter398 yep, just find some brush and throw a little bug-like rubber bait🤷♂️ The way my grandpa and all his fishing buddies do it is with a rubber (typically containing chartreuse, that color is amazing) and a niblet, which he calls an egg😂
I've got a lot of respect for you Mav. You are living the dream. It's been really enjoyable watching your rise on youtube. Keep up the videos mate
Bit of Camping with Steve followed perfectly by Mav 👌🏻 what a morning
I’m saving Steve for tomorrow.
@@charliesmith643 whos steve.
So I’m New Zealand we call Abalone Paua and the most favourite way to prepare the Paua is called Paua & Cream. So you take the abalone out of the shell and then use something heavy to smack it to make it tender and then we use a mincer or chop it up into very small pieces, then you thinly dice up half a onion and a couple cloves of garlic and add it to a small pot or pan of butter once the onions and garlic are brown you add the abalone into the pan/pot and let it cook for a bit. Once you feel like it’s cooked you add in some cream to your pan/pot and continue to stir it around until you feel like it’s ready. It should have a nice soupy consistency. Then you can add a bit of salt and pepper and it’s best to have it hot or cold with some bread. You should definitely give it a try it’s very delicious. Much love from New Zealand
I wonder how all the people feel seeing mav is still safe! Lol glad he is showing how hospitable Mexican people can be!
Clicked on your channel like 10 secs ago wondering if you uploaded today and it said 1 minute.... Thank yooooooooou
Get on that notification squad boiiii
I have the bell on :(. Not my fault CZcams doesnt notify me.
Here you go Mav, teaching us stuff when all we wanted to do was watch your Vlog for entertainment. Thanks for sharing you life adventures with us. Take care, Be safe, stay healthy and well but most of all Keep on Truckin!
I feel like those guys forgot to tell you that they eat the abalone raw, not cooked. It is a ceviche style abalone dish.
I think thats what he meant when he said "onion & lemon"
He said he heard from the locals that you cook them
@@franciscoybighartson8854
Yeah it "cooks" in the lime juice. Search up ceviche dishes for a better explanation on how the lime "cooks" the raw seafood
@@tuh00 Im right and your wrong , I know better than you capiche. Ma maws Mexican a just asked her wit ye dae n she said ye dae cook them so fuck up mate hahahah
@@franciscoybighartson8854 😂
There is not a single miss on your channel, i could go through each video from start to finish, back to back, and not be disappointed, underrated channel u deserve all the damn subs
You're one of the only CZcamsrs where I can actually watch your entire video and not skip at all
I haven’t had abalone since I was a little kid, like 10, it was probably $30 a plate then 35 years ago, we always had it panko style with lemon, very simple but delish.
Dang Mav you are on the adventure of a lifetime. I remember as a child my parents would take me into baja often and it was wild. My most memorable trip was Y2K, we were in baja as the clock switched over and one night we helped a fisherman get his boat off the rocks(well my parents did I was young) and he gave us around 40 lobster, that night was a feast. Mexico is beautiful and I cannot stop saying WOW at that abalone farm. My Dad was a scuba dive instructor and would bring home abalone regularly, I saw many amazing and colorful shells. This brought back some awesome memories, thanks MAV!!! By the way, Abalone has been off limits in California for years now, the population has plummeted and they are trying to make a come back.
They just gave you a touring of their abalone farm, you just made awesome content dude, Nice job.
So I came back to this video almost a year later because you gave me a huge source of info for my environmental ethics paper. This abalone farm i'm using for a source in how some companies chose to go to ethical farming methods. Thank you mav, you saved my butt
Been a follower for a few months, bingeing episodes when I can! This is my FAVORITE of all so far! Super cool! Thanks for all you do! I really appreciate your channel! Don’t change! Keep on truckin!
Glad your having so much fun and meting some super nice people .
Everyone is so nice your encountering! It sounds like you have made some good friends!!
Just finished watching Camping with Steve's newest vid and then go on the homepage and see Mav uploaded. Gotta love when that happens
Gotta love Alberta camping
This is so cool, Mav! Just being kind and befriending someone got you here. Crazy how life works!
Abalone brings me back to my childhood. I can remember my Dad & cousin diving for those off the coast in California back in the late 70’s early 80’s. We have shells that are about the same size as the “wild” one you showed Mav. I can remember them being similar to clam strips. Delicious! Safe Travels Amigo.
Very interesting video, I have traveled Baja for 40 years and never encountered an abalone farm. I used to skin dive for them off the San Diego coast. As to pronouncing the Spanish, try thinking of the vowels A, E, I, O, U, as Ah, A, E, O, OOH. It works for 90 % of the Spanish words. Keep on Trucking (and makin’ videos)
Adventuring out of the norm must be the best, while still being careful .
I have an abalone shell thats like 10" around its humongous. Thats awesome you got to see the process of farm raised. Thanks Mav we appreciate you brother. God Bless and safe truckin
Came to your channel late, been watching the winter camping vids during this Michigan winter, but now it’s spring so I’ve moved on to your Mexico trip. Very nice. Thanks for sharing
Amazing tagging along for a while. My first sight of a road runner! From CT, U.S.A.
Keep On Truckin Carefully Mav 😍
Birra birra tacos look fye
..i admire how wonderful people Raul and Caroline is..they are an amazing..
We get big abalone on the coast of CA. We cut off the black skin and then relax them. We use a huge home made wooden mallet and give them a giant smack. It makes a certain sound when it works and it’s relaxed. You can also slice it and pound each piece individually but it takes a lot of time. We then egg, flour and pan fry in butter & garlic.
We also make a ceviche with raw cubed abalone with onion, celery, lime and some seasonings. Or use seafood sauce. It’s really a delicacy and an interesting creature.
The whole process of the abalone farm was super interesting. ✌🏼
Mav your videos mean so much more to me than entertainment I get to escape reality for a while and feel like my problems don’t matter so Thankyou man keep on truckin 🙌🏼
Good on your Mav for staying where you're safe. I am learning so much from your subscribers while your on your adventure in Mexico. So cool!!
Always stoked when a new video comes out.
Been re-watching old one's waiting for a new one
Luckily I started off from the beginning of his CZcams videos and made my way up to this point. Man I love these videos.
I enjoy living through your adventures.
just want to say enjoy your time out there seems that you met some good people be safe
I am very impressed with the way you been moving around across the border. Your staying at good spots. I cross the border frequently so I know how it is over there. Stay safe brotha
Thanks for sharing the adventure. 👍🏼
I had abalone yesterday! Very healthy dish! The abalone is full of nutrients and long process of breeding. No wonder it so expensive!
Love your videos Mav. God Bless you and keep u safe always.
I love Raul and Caroline as well they are great people 😊
Next time you have service you should download the local maps. GPS works virtually anywhere so if you have maps downloaded it will place you on said map and you’ll be able to navigate with your phone when service is vacant
Great trip Mav. Your meeting awesome people. Always like to see Chef Mav cook up anything! 👍👍👍
Always get so excited when mav post new videos
these make my day so much better fr. these videos are truly home away from home.
Very nice you met some good people out there!!
OMFGGGG THE WAY I SHOUTED WHOAAAA IOUTLOUD WHEN BRO WAS ON UR HAND awe lowkey they kinda cute 🥰🐌🐙
The rate your channel is growing is crazy. I started watching around 150k less than a year ago 😳
I remember when he was a camera man for some one else. Mavs been killing it!!
That was a very nice thing that Raul and caroline that they welcome you in to there house and what hanna helped you with your bed and the drawers and I like how you have your truck set up and i like your vw car with the pop up camper
I'm a New Zealander living in Australia and we call those Paua, this video took me around the world and home again! Keep on truckin Mav 🙋🏾♂️
If your a kiwi you must live in Brisbane 🤣
Your going to my childhood places, lived in Ensenada but we farmed in several places all the way down to San Quintin. Enjoy it!
"Abalone, some garlics, going in" mav giving me @TheReportOfTheWeek vibes keep on truckin mav love from NH, USA
Great video. Really enjoying following your travels through Mexico.
Enjoying your vacation
Mav I love you're vids, already almost up to a million subs damn dude. Hope you have a good day today in Mexico 🇲🇽
Birria tacos are the bomb. The consommé you make from the beef stock and stewed chili’s is **chef’s kiss**. Definitely down to see you make that beautiful creation. Add some Oaxaca cheese to make it a quesa birria taco. Remember, low and slow with the beef braising. You want that meat to fall apart. Easier to shred that way.
I definitely feeling better about my need to travel into Mexico now. Love them people and culture, I’m going to start planning my Baja trip for next year. Mav, Thanks for sharing your Baja Mexico adventure.
That’s where I go camping with family every year. Cool spot !👌
ooh lalah...I had fried wild abalones ages ago (excellent!), when they were less scarce. Didn't know they are still available in larger sizes, even farmed. We still see 3-4" farmed ones occasionally at the L.A. grocery stores like Marukai for sashimi. Love your spontaneity and appreciation for all kinds of food.
This channel is just vibes man
That looks so good 😍
Wow you are really churning out these great videos!
Your videos are keeping me alive mav!!!
Mav gets the keys to the gated compound to let himself in. Only Mav. Raul put the word out....🌷👍
Sweet. Camp n cooks r some of my favs!
Man Mav you're living the life, thank you for sharing it with us. Almost feels like I myself am there too!
wow...so glad you are safe....SCARY!!!!
Yes. Why not!
So interesting! I always wondered why the shells have the holes. I have made jewelry with the shells. They really are beautiful. I haven’t ever seen the creature that lives in them and I didn’t know that they were eaten. Thanks for sharing! I learned something knew and I was thoroughly entertained. Recently I went to a fish hatchery near Galveston, TX and toured it. It’s neat to see some of the similarities and differences. The hatchery that I went to raised Red Drum and Flounder.
In New Zealand aka Aotearoa to us Maoris we call them paua. We mince them or slice them, fry it up with real butter, onions and then add cream bro the best dish! Creamed pauas we got some good fishing spots here too! You did well this dish man!
The shells can be used as ashtrays or add them as eyes to bone carvings like we do here🤙🏾
Should get yourself a Duke Cannon bar soap and bar soap sponge, it's so convenient to carry and perfect for showering while you travel.
Looked amazing I have not had Abalone in years.
We call abalone, PAUA, in NZ. Fav way to eat is sashimi'd, raw, thinly sliced with soy sauce and wasabi dipping sauce. Or pound until tender, roll in wholemeal flour, fry in butter. Or Add cream for rich yummy sauce.
Mav u rock man i cant wait until u get back to Minnesota... Keep on Truckin !!!
One of the best camping/ cooking/ trucking channels 💯❤
Hey Mav love your videos especially now. I'm in San Diego from Virginia working at the shipyard and your videos help with being away from my family.
A really interesting episode Mav. Love your content so please keep it up!
Yes, try and make those 🌮.. great place, the people seem very friendly!!
This is in the top 5 coolest videos I've ever seen.
So cool. What an awesome opportunity for you.
Great video, Mav!!!
Love the way mav enjoys his food 😊 so wholesome
The consistent uploads😩🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Here in New Zealand I love eating Paua(Abalone) straight out of the shell without cooking or tenderising.
Sooooooo good!!!!
Another popular way is Creamed Paua, pronounced; Par-u-ah
Creamed paua is also 🥰😍
oh hell yea i just woke up and have a mav vid to watch with my coffee 😎
Looking like you’re having a great time so far down south Mav. I have an uncle that goes abalone diving, the shells are beautiful. One tip, ask for recipes while you’re down there and perfect your street tacos. Fast and easy food, perfect for that road life! Aloha from Cali 🤙🏽
I’d love longer videos. I’d love it if you’d bring us along with you more too. Like when you went to the surfing spot. What an amazing experience you get to have!! Enjoy the beauty!!! Peace.
😁😁😁
Always an instant click when mav uploads
I can see it now Mav. A traveling network is going to pick you up as the host of their show. You are very good at this; a natural at meeting people, genuine interest in new places/ things; and you enjoy being where you are!
