Bjorn!
What?
Tell everyone. We're going to make camp here.
Why would we camp here?
Just do it.
I want to know why.
You don't need to know why.
Sound the horns! We camp here!
What are we doing here?
Yes. We also want to know. What is the point of making camp here? When we ought to be continuing downriver.
When we came up, we saw a few sizeable settlements. They were ripe for attacking.
At least we wouldn't go home empty-handed!
But they are not Paris.
We left Paris behind.
Maybe you have, but I haven't.
What do you mean?
What I say.
Nobody here understands what you're saying, King Ragnar.
Well, then maybe they ought to listen, instead of talking. We are going to lift the boats up the cliff. Then we are going to carry them across the mountains, past the forts, and then simply slide them back into the river. Upstream.
Carry them? Up there?
Yes. Up there. You can do that, can't you, Floki? Or am I wrong?
No. I can do it, Ragnar. I can do it for you. Everything I do, Ragnar, is for you.
Let's empty the boats.
“I can do it, Ragnar, I can do it for you. Everything I do is for you."
I love Floki, I'm done.
Floki is one the best for sure
kind of geh
@@tishoangelov4910 of course ur gonna see it as gay because of you insecurities, this is called brotherly love something u don’t know anything about
@@bmm7958 sure sure... he sounded like one of those ass-kissers i have in my office.. and that is super geh
@@tishoangelov4910 he is his best friend they lived together raided together there is pure love here not ass kissing
The way Ragnar moves the hands while talking. Is like a viking version of Jack Sparrow.
Lorscia except he is more badass than Sparrow
Drugs do that to people.
Jack sparrow is the pirate version of Ragnar.*
You should see Floki
He does that regularly
"Then maybe they ought to listen, instead of talking"!
I have already have added a lot of Ragnar's quotes into my lexicon!
Gimme ur lexicon
Sendawula Kajubi pls share it
thats cause hes basically the main character lol
I have few of vikings quotes on my blog to virgodevelopersblog.wordpress.com/
Maybe the Jedi should have added them into their Holocrons they might not have died off so fast LoL
“Bro” subtitles after Loki saying “everything I do Ragnar is for you” was an excellent touch
Hahahahhajaa I turned subtitles on to see what you are talking about and this shit should be a fkn meme I'm dying 😂😂😂
Oh shit😂
Ive watched this clip before and noticed it but you make a good point. This should be a fucking meme lmao
Love his acting, especially in this season, he is mad everything he does looks irrational.
InternalPrimate06 do you know what season this is??
isaac coughlan season 4
its because he becomes a crackhead because of the asian hook connect lmao
farmer >> earl >> KING >>> .....Junkie>>>downfall
I think that time cause he was high on medication.....as in Ragnar was using something against pain and the dosis made him delerious?
"points finger to Lokki" = "Bro!" Best subtitle EVER!!!!! :)
hahahahaha loved that!
Floki*
omg I had to turn subs on to see if its real. 10/10
Rivery Jerald Floki is low key Loki
would like to meet the person who put that in. have a beer
Rewatching this made me realize that Ragnar literally came up with this plan last minute. He was really planning on leaving Paris before he saw those mountains.
And that is what makes him exceptional. Actually most great men are. Lesser men alway think great men always have everything figured out, but rather what they always had was the will to keep thinking and moving forward irrespective of the situation
3:08 "THAT'S MY MAN!"
ROFL
if you enable subs it says bro right there lmao
YES! And that's so f*cking funny! :D
I laughed so much when I saw him do that lol haha
"MYYYY NIGGA"
Everything I do Ragnar is for you!!!!!----I think Floki meant "I am your bro, and I love you more than that priest" :D
Bryan Adams
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nice one
Haha yeah floki was low key jelly of Athelstan
"Nobody is here understands what you saying king ragnar "😂lol ragnar is high as fuck on that chinese leafs..
that Bro in the end LFMAO
thats was really nice.
3:07 "My dawg"
Bjorn's face like:"Alright, he lost it for good"
Despite the invasion failing, the plan was genius and very nearly defeated the Franks
Rollo anticipated his brothers move though, he spent the most time with him and he should be able to almost feel what he is going to do next.
@@gustaf3811 No he didn't anticipate lifting the ships over the cliff, he was informed by his scouts of what Ragnar and his Vikings were doing, which was how he had his fleet move to meet them.
He did however anticipate their original first attack, where he used the forts and chains to block their passage and predict Ragnar sending Lagertha on a flanking attack with her forces
@@Lightingwarrior I never said he anticipated Ragnar's every move but he knew it was not over and Ragnar would come back. The franks thought Ragnar was defeated which is the reason Rollo did not get to set up defense measurements when Ragnar finally came.
If it was genius it would have worked
@@craigridley7369 Even genius plans can still fail, history is full of example of brilliant battle manoeuvres preformed by great general, but still fail due to unexpected event or sheer stubbornness of enemy or some unexpected event
3:08 "Bro" BEST EASTER EGG EVER! Buahahahaha!
?
@Quirrel CZ
subtitles
I dnt see it
barney stinson put on captions when Ragnar points floki at 3:08
It's a shame this plan didn't quite work out. I was looking forwards to seeing the Francs panic at the sudden apparition of a huge viking fleet at Paris' front door.
it did work out. Ragnar wanted to fight rolo and that is exactly what he got.
Well, he wanted to win against Rolo, although at that point you might be right that he didn't care about Paris itself and just wanted to punch the shit out of his brother.
Well in terms of historical... Vikings never conquer Paris, so....
He probably just wanted to raid it and loot it a second time, not actually conquer it.
Pat Best But he said to Atleston in an ilusion that he wanted to conquer Paris.. well thats what i remember.. could be wrong..
flokis like that crazy friend that madly loyal too his friends and so is always the most liked
Jarod Tutton except when he kills your other friend
@@Harryspeople Out of jealousy for your love and attention. Yikes.
hahahahahah if you watch it with subtitles they add a "bro" at the end, so perfect
Lol that's awesome
Fake news
Always thought Ragnars biggest problem was not discussing his plans with his close companions so they would be on the same page
except he just thouight of the plan there, ao there was nothing to share in this particular instance. definitely he couldve shared his plans more often but this one was completely made u then and there
Democracy creates more problems than it brings, you start discussing with people and they begin to think their opinions matters and get emotional when you ignore their moronic ideas.
That's a Hollywood problem tbh ,
Characters almost NEVER communicate organically its always this fake nonsense crap
If I was in that army whether he was king or not I'd ask for a fkn explanation
Characters always have plans in movies and shows and everyone just follows them without asking questions and then there's a big surprise and we are led to believe no one in the show or movie knew about said plan besides the MC or the character that planned it ?
Does no one communicate in these fictional worlds?
I love how they always try to go for "realism" but having Characters talk to eachother like real people is so fkn hard 😂
Sometimes it's best to, and sometimes not. When you explain your judgment calls to people, it opens up vulnerability to others disagreeing and trying to take control. When you're a leader, you make your judgment call and you also judge whether or not it's best to share. Not sharing is sometimes the only way to get them to trust you enough to do it, even when it's something that should be trusted. It comes with being a visionary, someone intelligent, pioneering, etc. Look how many people laughed at the ideas of Isaac Newton and Einstein during their lifetimes. Not sharing sometimes translates into "It isn't open for debate. I know what's best here." Kind of like how when your 5 year old wants to stay at their friend's house, and you don't trust the friend's dad bc he comes across as a creepy pedo, you don't explain all the details to your child. You simply say no because you're the adult and you know better than the child does. They aren't children, but a leader's job is to be informed, and sometimes you simply possess more knowledge than the others, and as a leader you're not about to stop, explain, and get an approval stamp on what you already know is best (especially if your intelligence and skills as a visionary etc are why you're leading in the first place--and with Ragnar, that's definitely the case). You mistake "explaining" with "people getting on the same page" when it's often the opposite that happens. It's also often a source of division amongst the people.
@@andrew-rn9uiWhat are you talking about? Real parents say "because I said so" all the time. And what CEO explains their business decisions to employees before doing them?
3:00 Thats was so EPIC moment Bro!!!!
i love the relationship between ragnar and floki. floki is a true brother to ragnar NOT LIKE HIS PIECE OF SHIT BROTHER WHO BETRAYED HIM GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES!!.
I love how you can tell how Ragnars mental state deteriorates through the seasons

The first

The "bro" in the captions as he points at Floki- whoever did that is a legend.
Ragnar: we going to lift boats up the cliff
Everybody:…
David Goggins: I volunteer
After Floki says everything he does is for Ragnar, just as Ragnar points to Floki, the captions said "Bro" at the same time I did, was pleasantly surprised.
When you are a leader you need friends close to you like Floki.
Friends who kill your other friends?
@@manithierry-mieg3704 Floki isn’t perfect too. I was disappointed when he killed Athelstan but he did it to protect Ragnar
Floki loved ragnar to much and got jealous. @@manithierry-mieg3704
But like floki in the end isnt this men anymore.
That point to Floki gets me every time 🤣
"This guy gets it."
ahhhh Vikings.... that series just has... SOMETHING.... it's truly something special....
the scene where ragnar said "i love you " to floki is easily my favourite scene
1:59 Ragnar thug life :D
Turn subtitles on and watch when Ragnar points at floki :>
how strange all looks to him,and when explained them, and say ,, upstream,,that is perfectly clear how he thinking,
You are missed Ragnar. Your sons need you now more than ever.
Nahh I actually liked that scene it shows how much Bjorn belive in his father. ......as I've been saying in other post Bjorn is a fucking gangsta. lol
"Soon I shall be drinking ale from curved horns..." :'(
In fact this idea is from history of the Ottomans that carried their fleet across land because their was a chain in the way to Constantinople aka Istanbul.
0:10 ubbe and torvi
Look at ubbe🤦♂️
Ragnar could tell people to sound the horns and make camp but he tells bjorn to do so everyone know clearly that bjorn is the commander second only to ragnar
that simpel blink with his eyes finisched it 👌 3:08
What I enjoy most is that during is opium withdrawal he is psychologically "climbing the walls" I also like to think that is what gave him the that brilliant idea . What script , what a show . Michael Hirst is the Ragnar of script writing
Hard disagree. This stupid Opium arc was awful. Or How Rollo was just so prepared for a fleet of vikings to Walk their ships ACROSS LAND back into the water.
Hirst ruined this show, with all his claims of "following history as close as they could" while butchering it even as far back as Season 1.
at the end, Ragnar is like "That's my boy"
Everything I do is Ragnar for you... Floki the boat builder you are the best.
HE IS MY KING👑❤️
Man I wish I would find a friend like Floki, I am like dammm he is a good friend. After every scene I re-wacht
All appreciation to the trasnslater 3:07

Ragnar & Floki most badass viking brotherly love lmao "Bro"
'Or am i wrong?'
Has answers to many thing about how ragnar feels about floki.
that bro subtile at the end spot on
i hope to have a friend like Floki
he is such an epic fucking actor!!!!! just cried like a bitch when i seen him die the other day
And suddenly the merchant of rope appear.
Mikhael Bureau Im pretty sure they travel with camping supplies.
Mikhael Bureau
rope is pretty easy to make by weaving and braiding thin tree saplings' bark. takes a lot time though, but it's a fairly simple process
The boats had plenty of rope for the sails so I'd say floki just used what he had from that.
The short pause before the "upstream" killed me
The way he stares after saying “lift the boats up the cliff” 😂
Best costume department ever
3:09 I love the subtitle lmfao 🤣 “Bro”
We will lift the boat over the mountain!

LMAO!!! "Bro"
That was fucking hilarious
3:08 funny when Ragnar points at floki it pops up as bro if you have subtitles on youtube
Idk the historical accuracy of this show, but the tactic was actually set up by Sultan Mehmed II, the leader of the Ottoman Empire during the conquest of Constantinople (Capital of Roman Empire) as the ottoman boats were not able to cross ‘Great chain’ defending the harbor of the city. This strategy was so out of the box, it changed the tides of the entire battle towards the ottoman side who were till that moment frustrated by an unsuccessful conquest. Maybe the makers of the show took some inspiration from it.
2:00 - 2:10 is gold. LMFAO at that part XD
I thougth for a second Floki was going to say that was absurd
3:06 My man!
