  • I purchased a trailer to haul the Kubota LX2610. There's a big variety in trailers out there and I made a pretty specific choice based on capabilities and price. Do you think I make a good decision or a poor one? Let me know in the comments below!

    Wow nice looking trailer Chris, definitely a great addition 👍🏻, oh, love the hat also 😉. You had to mention the “attachment vs implement “ conundrum 😂😂. Glad to hear you had a great thanksgiving and had a chance to talk to your son in Germany 👍🏻👍🏻. Have a great weekend 🙋🏼‍♂️🙂👍🏻

      Thanks Luc! Yeah...when I was editing the video and heard myself talking, all I could hear was Jon Ritter's voice saying "is that an 'implement' or an 'attachment'"! 🤣👍😎

    Nice trailer Chris, don't worry about posting later, I've got material from October last year that I'm eventually going to use. Cheers, Happy New Year! 🥳🌴👍🍻

    Great trailer, Chris! Thanks for the info. I'm in need of a trailer someday too - and I have debated between car trailer, equipment trailer, landscape trailer, and dump trailer. I think the dovetail trailer makes a lot of sense for our type of equipment. Nice buy!

    • @watershedoverlook
      @watershedoverlook  Před 2 lety

      Agreed Chad...the dovetail definitely helps with ground clearance when loading and unloading with an attachment on the back! Thanks for watching! 👍😎👍

    Nice trailer Chris! 20’ is the perfect size in my opinion that is the same length we went with. We can put everything and a ATV on the back with the B2601😂 you will find lots of things to haul around😂 I like the front box too. Have a great week 😁👍🚜💨💡

    Good morning Chris. Nice trailer and good call on going with the extra length on the trailer. It has everything you need and agree, no need or the heavy duty build and extra $$. I missed these last couple of videos - not sure why but for some reason it happens sometimes, so I unsubscribed and then re-subscribed and hit the notification bell again. Hopefully I am good for a while. Keep smiling!

      Thanks Gord, I am really loving that trailer and AM really glad I went with the extra length! Sorry you weren't getting the notifications but really appreciate your extra efforts to get them. Cheers! 🍻

  • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead

    I just got a 16 foot (no dovetail) for my BX23S used for $2k, but I had to put a deck on it, paint it and put new tires. I’m at about $2400 and it’s used so you did well. That is a super nice trailer. I enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work!

    • @watershedoverlook
      @watershedoverlook  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, that's the exact scenario I was facing (buy used and upgrade/repair) and so when this one came along I jumped at it! Thanks for watching and for the kind words about the videos. 👍😎

  • @bigbearhungry983
    @bigbearhungry983 Před 2 lety +1

    Myself, I like some kind of sides to it. Either closed or rails but have short sides on it. That was you can use it for hauling also.

    • @watershedoverlook
      @watershedoverlook  Před 2 lety

      I totally get that. 👍 I do have a utility trailer with sides. Also, the stake pockets are there if I ever want to whip together some side rails if I need them. On this trailer though, I specifically wanted the flat bed so I can use my forks to load and unload without without side rails getting in the way.
      Thanks for watching! 👍😎

      @@watershedoverlook I understand.

  • @WolfinWolvesClothing713

    Look up airlift airbags. Couple hundred $ and a couple hrs and it will stiffen everything up, helps handling too. Your setup is close to mine. I have an 18 ft 14k equipment trailer, but im waiting for my 2610 right now. If you have it fully loaded watch out for big dips in the road. That 4k lbs will turn into a lot more when dropped 4-5 inches in a dip in the road. Keep em coming, your vids helped me decide on the kubota. 👍

    • @watershedoverlook
      @watershedoverlook  Před 2 lety

      That's a great point about the road surface you're towing on! Hope you don't have too long to wait to get the LX...You're gonna' LOVE it! Thanks for watching. 👍😎👍

    Soooo get that thing over here! That's a great addition. Can you add rear stabilizer jacks? Can the ramps be placed at different widths? Thanks and looks great.

    • @watershedoverlook
      @watershedoverlook  Před 2 lety +3

      Hey Ross, I've already reached out to Mitch @MJA to ask about the jacks on his trailer...I would definitely like to add something similar. Yes, the ramps can be positioned at any width along the back. I'm thinking at some point I'll also add some expanded metal to the top surface of the ramps to facilitate loading smaller equipment (ZTR, etc). Thanks for watching!

    I’ve used and built trailers for forty years, you just about can’t over build a trailer but you can definitely under build one. If your worried about bending the frame when you back off the trailer your trailer is under built for the job.
    Sorry but you should have left that light weight pos on the lot and gotten a higher capacity trailer.

    Hi Chris, beautiful day there. I don't have a trailer and probably won't get one any time soon so I can't comment much on your choice. I wish I had one so I could take my B2601 to help out neighbors further away though. I'm glad you're happy with your choice and I hope it works out like you intend. I may have missed this, but did the toolbox come with? Thanks for sharing!

    • @watershedoverlook
      @watershedoverlook  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for watching David. I only mentioned the toolbox briefly in the video...no it did not come with the trailer. I purchased it from Home Depot (link in the description). I probably could have found one a bit cheaper but I already had a sizeable in-store credit so I used that!

      Thanks for watching S.J.! I purchased the straps on Amazon...there's a link in the video description. (I think they may be out of stock, but there are lots of options on there at a similar price point!

    You didn’t tell us what brand that is?

    • @watershedoverlook
      @watershedoverlook  Před rokem

      I purchased it from a local dealer, B&L Trailers, based out of NC. The trailer isn't sold as a "branded" tractor, however I went back and checked the title and the make is listed as "P&T". Hope that helps. By the way, the story of this trailer (and its replacement) continues in videos 019 and 021. Thanks for watching. 👍
