This ...is .....SICK! Wish it had a search touch screen to make searching for tracks faster.
Looking at the pattern where pioneer is heading, SX - (SX2) then SZ. Now came the RX maybe the "RZ "soon, with same (SZ) CDJ jogwheels with 4 channels, more beat FX, maybe dual screen or single but touch screen, needle search and slightly higher priced than SZ. Making them very competitive both in controller segment and complete DJ solution package market, like how they perform so well with Club DJ equipment in the last decade...:)
I reckon that if they put a recordbox screen above each deck on the DDJ-SX that would be gold, along with them black platters, man o man.

Where is the needle search????
No physical needle search strip this time, maybe to cut down the cost, instead you have a arrow keys search button in each side of the player. also standard at new CDJ's model

i'm trying to use the xdi rx with traktor everything seems to be working fine except the effect part... how can i use my tractor effects with this mixer/controller ? anyone ?

haha what about the SCS4Dj that we been using for last 4 years... so lets hope it has a storage compartment for a hard drive lets hope it analyzes tracks on the fly just in case you need to use a random usb stick. at least pioneer with support this unlike Stanton who I feel made the biggest mistake ever not making the scs4dj mrk2..... I did see this XDJ-RX type thing in a basic form in china sold at tower electronics for $500 but it was taken off ill try find the link to see if its the same thing ...... Good luck Pioneer..

For the measly price of £1100. It's a pioneer unit that people will be able to buy and use for doing parties etc and they won't need anything else other than a PA system so value for money wise I think its great.

Oh no! Picking up my nexus setup next week and then I see this! Pro's that I like....
1. I'm assuming a bit smaller width compared to having cdj's and a djm.
2. Will be a more affordable option for venues that can't afford a nexus setup.
3. RekordBOX capable!!!
4. Hot cues
Con's or concerns....
1. Only two channels.
2. Will this be Traktor certified or compatible with Serato?
why would you need traktor that defeats the point of it
Dan Jamez the djm 900 nexus is traktor certified, the djm 900 srt is especially designed for use of serrato. Possible Options! thats all I'm asking about :)
Nexus system is awesome.... But right now I wouldn't buy one. The technology is changing so fast and so much at the moment, the nexus is going to be obsolete very soon.

If used as a MIDI controller you can Midi map it to work with Traktor, it is not compatible with Serato, and wont ever be.

This is great and stupid at the same time. Pioneer need to stop beating around the bush and just make a DDJ-SZ with two screens that can take a USB stick and Rekordbox. Is the reason they're not doing this very obvious solution because it would render the vast majority of their other products useless?
yeah slower model progressions do a few things. Gauge the market/demand, help iron out details on layout, improve performance and desired features and of course, offers a steadier stream of longer-term income. Suppose you could also say it helps gather customer loyalty - but I think Pioneer kinda has that.
Sure - it is a race and balancing act between the software and hardware.
