Thank you Amber and Jordan for doing this song. April Wine was a favorite during my teenage years. RIP Myles.🇨🇦😪
Yes! They were my go to band to see live as a kid. Such great memories!
So aside from me , how many other people sent the email to hear this song yesterday
Yep, my teenage years in the 70's were spent listening to April Wine also!:✌🇨🇦👍💯❤❤
Thank you so much for reacting to Myles Goodwin and April Wine❤. As a teenager in the 70s, they were my favourite band. Went to every concert
Great choice of songs from whoever requested it.
This was my son's wedding dance song with his wife.....beautiful!
👊🏼🙏🏻❤️
This was a GREAT SLOW DANCE SONG!!! Glad ya'll enjoyed it! Another GREAT PICK! RIP Myles Goodwyn!
RIP Myles. This band was such a huge part of my youth. Like a fleeting smell can remind you of an event or place, April Wine sends me rushing back to an era, like a dream I don’t want to wake from. An incredible band. Well done, Canada!
I am a 57 year old Canadian and I cry every time that I hear this song. It is because this IS the most beautiful expression of a man's love and it hits home every day. Thank you so much for playing it! RIP Myles Goodwin, please be heaven sent my brother and fellow Canadian!
American here......same bro..same
From Canada - thank you for recognizing Myles Goodwyn at this sad time…. April Wine and the Guess Who were two of the first Canadian Bands to break through in the US …. It was very exciting (and they paved the way for a lot of great artists to follow)
And Chad Allen also just passed away recently.
@@DavidB-2268 I must have missed that about Chad Allan. How many guys walk away from two future Superbands. A good tribute to him would be Dunrobin's Gone from Brave Belt, I think that's him singing lead.
@@jethro1963
Well, fortunately Denny Laine got to experience being a part of Paul McCartney & Wings for the better part of the 70s!
@@screwyootube1 I meant left the groups before they hit it big. Wings and Moody Blues were both big when Laine was with them.
@jethro1963 it was apparently back on November 21st. I only found out recently, through Burton Cummings' Facebook post.
RIP Myles Goodwyn god bless ❤
I grew up on April Wine
RIP Myles
Another fabulous band from Canada...April Wine. Great music from these guys. 💐🎸R.I.P. Myles Goodwyn forever🎸💐🇨🇦
Rest in Peace Myles Goodwyn,
April Wine is going back to when my mom and dad were in their early 20s, partying days as they call it.
Indeed RIP- Myles Goodwyn. Rock on Rob Squad
I am a Canadian (and proud of it!), and this band is INGRAINED into our culture. From Tonite is Wonderful Time to Fall in love, to Oowatnite, to Enough is Enough, to Sign of a Gypsy Queen, this band is SO popular. This song is their quintessential ballas, and is perfect to karaoke to when you want to impress a girl on a date. RIP Myles Goodwyn! There's a corner office in Heaven's rock concert line-up with your name on it!💔
Had oowatanite stuck in my head all day lol
As an American I absolutely love those songs and this band! “Wings of love” and “Better Do It Well” just to add to that list of songs
I really love this song. I was a hopeless romantic in high school, and “Just Between You and Me” was one of my absolute favorite love songs when I was a junior in high school. ❤
We must be near the same age. Ballads like this were the all important 'slow dance' songs at Jr. high dances. Those of us who felt awkward dancing like goofs to the fast songs (i.e. most of us) could with a ballad waltz, drape our arms around the one we liked, hold them close, feel them breath, and slowly move in circles to the song while the rest of the world stood still. Ah! Those innocent teenage years in the 1970's!
@@rossmacintosh5652 Perfect description….I remember those feelings! This one came out in 1981 though. Those teenage years were definitely times we cherished.
Same here, Mr Wilt, loved this song
I was either a sophomore or junior when April Wine opened for REO at the Kansas Coliseum-$17 for a ticket, man those were the days
@@allenwhitmer8192 Hey, man. I’m from Overland Park. I loved my entire high school experience; however, to this day, I have one major regret about high school. I had a ticket to go with friends to see Van Halen inside Kemper Arena in 1981 or 1982….81 I think. The ticket was $10. I still remember. BUT THIS FOOL DIDN’T GO!! Why? I was taking an English course titled, “The Term Paper”. Our entire course grade was writing a term paper like we might in college. I had blown it all off for weeks. So I had to use the entire weekend to write this 22 page, typed paper. Fortunately, I did get an “A”. Teacher thought it was best in the class. I said….it ought to be. Do you know what I gave up?? If I had the chance again, I’d go to see Van Halen. Lol. 😢
Thank you for playing April Wine. Definitely one of the best Singer, Song Writer's the Rock Industry has every had. RIP Myles Goodwyn.
Coming from a Detroit Rocker, I always LOVED April Wine from across the river! They were so, so good!
One of favorite things about this song is when he says the lyric in French. So cool! RIP Myles 🇨🇦
April Wine is a part of being Canadian… was part of growing up .. a very underrated band.
RIP Myles Goodwin.
I’m from Halifax NS, where April Wine started!
I still say April Wine is Canada's greatest music gift to the world, and Miles Goodwyn is rocks greatest vocalist. RIP my rock hero. So glad I got to meet and talk to you in person. Love and miss you.
I'd have to pick Rush as Canada's greatest musical gift. Also loved The Guess Who. Burton Cummings had one of the best voices in the history of popular music.
I’ll go with RUSH
You must be forgetting Blue Rodeo.
for me personally Triumph is number one.
You need to listen to oh wattanite
Takes me back to high school. The whole album The Nature Of The Beast was just awesome.
This is ingrained in Canadian Rock , along with countless other April Wine songs. Gone, but not forgotten, rest easy, Myles Goodwyn.
Love this song. Takes me back to my youth. High school dances
from canada your welcome we are blessed with so many canaidian rock bands that the usa doesn't know exist
RIP Myles. Thanks for the music. Nice reaction guys.
R.I.P. Myles Goodwyn! This takes me back to my college days. On many ski trips we would listen to April Wine and drink from a Bota bag.
April Wine- Not only a great CANADIAN band, a GREAT BAND period.!!!!! A lot of the credit goes to Myles' writting, singing, and guitar playing- not to take away from the talents of the other members , there wouldn't have been April Wine without them!
RIP MYLES, Jerry, Jim, Steve! THANKS FOR THE MUSIC!!!!
I appreciate you guys so much for thinking about this band and the loss of their frontman Myles, have a blessed day!!
“The silence can be so unkind” -- haunting.
Thank you for once more recognizing a great Canadian band. I have loved April Wine for many many years, my older brothers got me listening to them. RIP to Myles Goodwyn, another great talent gone.
Thank you for doing this one. R.I.P. Myles
Another one of our Canadian treasures. GREAT song to pay tribute to Myles. So much great music. Always LOVED this song.
These guys (April Wine) were my first rock concert at age 10. Changed my life. ❤️🇨🇦🎶
My first as well, Halifax Metro Centre early 80s, the opening act was Tom Cochrane and Red Ryder (White Hot) I don't know if they did Lunatic Fringe. Saw a post on a reaction channel from a guy in Iowa or something like that who saw the same tour.
Wow. Genesis was mine in 1978 at 11. lol
Great song from a great band.
Rip Miles. Your missed sorely. 😢
Grade nine dance, holding on, lost in the song, not wanting it to end. Where did the years go? The nice thing is, she's still in my arms. 🙂
Soul Syrup!! Will hands down be my personal all time favorite smash ballad- April Wine.. masters of lyrical genius-
It's a huge lost for us Canadians. April Wine are such a popular band here. My first ever concert that I went is by them in Ottawa in 1982. You should check out Myles blues albums that he put out called Friends Of The Blues vol.1-2. Great stuff. R.I.P. Myles 🙏
" You Won't Dance With Me" is a great song from April Wine. Vocals are excellent.🎸
You won’t dance with me, another beautiful ballad from April Wine!❤
Cum Hear The Band always gets me.
he wrote that in high school
RIP Myles, April Wine rocked my world for almost 50 years. Rock On! Forever! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
I had no idea this band was from Canada. The singer has a very impressive smooth voice and the lyrics are terrific 👍. It doesn't matter where a band is from - great music is great music. No matter where it comes from.
Love this song. It never gets old
I remember this from middle school. It crossed over to the US charts. Loved it but we never heard any more from them after. This video played on the first day of MTV. First Canadian band on the station. Beautiful song! 🩷 🍷 💜
From the same album, Sign of the Gypsy Queen was a huge hit.
You must of only been listening to top 40 radio then. Because AP came out with the "Power Play" Lp in 1982, which produced a
#9 single on billboard's mainstream rock charts, called "Enough Is Enough". Top 40 wouldn't play it, but AOR stations did. Then that was the last we heard from the band...
It reached No. 41 in the UK, and that was it, so we never heard these guys
On the first day of MTV, April Wine was one of only three groups (along with The Who and Phil Collins) to have five airplays of a single song (Just Between You and Me). For total airplays the day was owned by Rod Stewart and REO Speedwagon. April Wine was still impressive in the list of total airplays for the opening day with the addition of Sign of The Gypsy Queen being played twice. So for total airplays we have: Rod Stewart 16, REO Speedwagon 15, The Pretenders 11, The Who 9, April Wine 7, Split Enz 7. Still a good showing by AW.
@@davidhuggan6315 They were on Rock Goes to College from Reading U during their European tour. Check out their traditional opener Oowatanite.
Their :Stand Back" album was an all hit album and one of my favorites, RIP Myles
Love April Wine! They have many great songs like Tonight Is A Wonderful Time To Fall In Love, Oowatanite, Bad Side of The Moon, You Won't Dance With Me, Cum Hear the Band, and I Wouldn't Want To Lose Your Love.
All such great songs! Some soft and some heavier but all memorable.
Oowatanite, a long time curtain raiser for AW and one of my faves. On a tour of Europe in the early 80s they did a TV show in England called Rock Goes to College from Reading University, this was their opener. It still can be seen on video.
@@jethro1963Oowatanite and I Wouldn't Want To Lose Your Love are my two favourite April Wine songs. Seen April Wine in concert a few times. I'll treasure my albums and my t-shirt now!
This song brings me way back to childhood . Great song
Seulement entre toi et moi - means that our love will always be
💕
I'm from Toronto and I have seen these guys a few times over the years...they are and were a great Canadian band...and this is one of my favorite songs by them....RIP Miles Goodwyn....
Not only a great Canadian band, a GREAT band period.!!!!!
AMBER you need to hear April Wine 'like a lover like a song" beautiful ballad, one of their best...Myles Goodwyn was such a great songwriter, singer...true talent...very sad in Canada 😭😭😭😭
Just Between You and Me" is a single by Canadian hard rock band April Wine, from their ninth studio album The Nature of the Beast, released in 1981 (see 1981 in music).
Background
The music video for this song was the fourteenth video played on MTV's first day of broadcast (August 1, 1981),[1][2][3] making it the first video by a Canadian recording artist ever played on MTV.[3]
The final chorus of the album version includes the song's title in French: "Seulement entre toi et moi".
Chart performance
"Just Between You and Me" was a top 25 hit in the US (their only top 30 hit in the US and their third and final top 40 hit in the country),[4] and peaked at No.13 on the CHUM Chart in Toronto, Canada.[5][6] It was also a minor hit in the UK, where it went to No.52.[7]
I played this song when I presented my wife with our 25th anniversary ring. It's always been just between her and me no matter what's been happening in our life. I love her so much - and you guys too.
I saw April Wine in the summer of 1970, at the New Glasgow Stadium Nova Scotia. It was a great concert. A good time.
Thank you so much for this. RIP Myles - great guy and fantastic musician.
LOVE me some April Wine, reminds me of my High School sweetheart, we LOVED this song and many others by them, so talented! Great reaction!
Comin’ Right Down On Top of Me/Vicious Game LIVE by April Wine is an absolute GREAT performance.

Love April wine !!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Next you gotta do, I love to rock !
By April Wine !!!!! "Official version"
I probably saw these guys play at least 4 times! Thanks for the memories!
This what you call a POWER BALLAD!
Strong memories with this on. It was on the jukebox at the tiny, snack shack near our barracks, during basic in '81. We played the 💩 out of it.
Canadian here. Good one guys. I grew up on April Wine and saw them live, great band. They were actually known for their great rock ballads. You may want to check out “Rock and Roll is a Vicious Game” or “Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love”
I enjoy your videos, especially after a hit of sativa lol, keep’em coming.
That's how you do a power ballad right. Been digging these cats since the mid seventies
My first ROCK concert was April Wine and Nazareth!!!!!! 1980!
Skated with many, many a beautiful girl to this back in the all-nite roller rink days. I can still listen to this and see every one of their faces. Thanks to April Wine, and all the girls who gave me a glance and a chance.
rock myself to sleep , that’s love, say hello, all over town are great april wine has so many great songs
That solo is unbelievable beautiful sound
Awesome you guys checking out April Wine, more great Canadian music. Speaking of Canadian music if you haven't checked out Trooper yet you should, they are known as one of Canada's best party bands. Started out in the 70s and still going. Multiple Gold and Platinum albums, with Raise a Little Hell, probably their most iconic song.
Many promoters at the time said they were the most entertaining act in Canada and Ra McGuire one of the best frontmen. Aside from "Raise a Little Hell", there's "We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time)", "The Boys in the Bright White Sports Car", "General Hand Grenade", "3 Dressed Up as a 9", "Janine", "Two for the Show", "Oh, Pretty Lady" and "Santa Maria".
Seen Trooper twice and they are the best party band. Seen April Wine 3 or 4 times and will treasure those memories. RIP Myles.
Great Song. Had a friend (Larry) intro. me this band back in 1979 in H.S., then they came to town, which I got to see in Az. that was a tour I won't forget. Thanks Larry(RIP).
haven't heard this in 40+ years. Great to hear it again, thanks for doing this one. I remember really liking this song 'back in the day'. LOL 🙂
I feel so lucky to have seen the band live as part of the soundtrack of my youth. The consummate rock band. Great musicianship and lyrics you can hear and understand.
From Canada, thank you for giving this song to a new audience. April Wine was the quintessential Canadian soundtrack to "endless summer nights" of the 70s and 80s.
This is the first song i ever played lead guitar in front of a crowd. Timeless
I thank you for this, it was our first dance at our wedding. My wife passed in June so this just hit a little special for me
😅 this whole album Kicks ass 💯 did you catch his French Canadian line 😮. The next song is "Wanna Rock" 🤘
It is a great album.
I believe that's a studio track over a concert performance.
I am sad to find aboot Myles passing on this video.
I am glad you guys love some April Wine.
I rock out to this band
All the air guitars and air drums
Joy indeed
God bless everyone
Another gem reaction. Thank you
As a teen in the 70's growing up in Nova Scotia, April Wine were the BOMB, saw them at least twice in Sydney before moving west and then two more times in Calgary, probably the best rock band ever to come out of the Canada and Goodwyn doesn't get enough credit for his song writing, amazing talent.
Finally you react to this great song. I remember listening to this on on the album over and over and over when I was in the 8th grade. Thanks for your reaction.
Killer tune, Rock on 🤘
Bless you, Jay! Bless you, Jay! 🤧😃
OH, my heavens !!! I haven’t heard this song in forever!! I love it! 😃❤️
Brought a smile to my face….Takes me back to HS ….those slow dances! 💃🏻❤️🕺
I LOVED this song in junior high school. Wow! I totally forgot about it, but I remembered almost all the words as I played this video.
When I was in Middle School or we called it Junior High back then. April Wine used to come to my hometown m o n c t o n New Brunswick twice a year. Their live shows were just incredible. and their music was also incredible. Miles is from New Brunswick. This band was always part of my life I will miss him very much. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane I always enjoy your show.
They were such professional musicians. 😎
Great song smooched many boys to this song in the 80s 🤣😅 thanks for this❤🇨🇦 needed some April Wine
Myles wrote the best ballads, the BEST, but April Wine had the hardest rock songs too.
Canada is crying for the loss of Myles Goodwyn.
This is what is called a "power ballad". A slow song, with strong guitar leads...
RIP Myles. Legend.
Hi,
I used to hire them for our high school dances in Montreal. Gerry Mercer (Drummer) and Brian Greenway (Guitar) were also
members of other great Montreal bands.
Ty one of my favorite from back in the day this band is awesome 👏
Thank you family. RIP Myles!!!
First concert I ever went to, Cedarbrae Collegiate in '71 or '72. Great band. Rest In Peace, Miles Goodwyn. 🥺💔🌈🌉🎶❤️✨️🕊
I love when i see them do a song i love. Didnt get much play but this song is a hidden gem. Loved this song growing up. Thanks for doing this one.
Saw them in 1983. About 10 feet from the stage. They put on a great show. I hate loosing these talented people.
My first video of yours. I've been a big April Wine fan for over 40 years now. This was my very first April Wine song and it was love at first listen. I've been hooked ever since then. I'm going to your other April Wine reactions right now. Oh, and I just Subscribed. ❤🤘🏻🐻🤘🏻❤
LOVE this song!!! R.I.P. Myles Goodwyn
RIP Myles 😢 loved them since the 70's ❤
Wow - one of my all time favorite songs. Takes me back - good memories.🙂
Tonight is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love is one of my favorite April Wine songs. It has a healthy dose of cowbell.
I agree, it's my favorite too !!
