It's not... Boo..
@@TheOriginalMaudlin same😥
When does it come in Lower Saxony? Asking for a friend.
Oh my gosh I was still deciding whether I wanted to go or not and this video made my decision. See you in Grand Rapids!!!!
i live in fucking south america
Never realized how intense Daniel's filming setup is, his videos always seem so fun and loose that I assumed it was just him and a camera, but this man has the full cameras and lighting, plus grinding away in a full production room
YEA FR
Yeah, it's a little intimidating if I'm honest
Your face on the "The show exists to sell merch" is perfect. Understanding of truth, horror at the reality and a mild "Oh shit we got that on camera" all combined
And he left it in.
Ikr
When you are a creative person but also need to pay bills, salaries and you know...eat. "The show exists to sell merch" *Daniel turns head towards camera* "yeah, you heard what you heard" As someone who has lived that life I felt that. Its a hustle. Get that bread Danny boy!
It feels kinda gross that performers/entertainers can't make enough money *before* the merch so they don't live and die on it.
Going to see Daniel in Chicago, and yes I'll probably buy some merch, but I want him to be able to tour because he wants to perform and can make a good living doing it on the road w/o having to kowtow to merch capitalism.
I'd also like a full head of hair again (while I'm asking for things), so I'm going to have some words with you, Daniel Thrasher, about the bald shade in this here vidja when I see you perform.
The glare from my shorn pate will blind you, as is right and just.
@@Corbomite_Meatballs I agree! It's crazy to look at the price of even relatively cheap tickets to say a rock concert, look at how many people attended, and then to think that all the money from dozens of shows on a tour in packed venues sometimes isn't even enough to break even. So much of that money doesn't go to an artist, but goes to the venue, the label, the expensive nature of doing something like a tour, etc. It seems almost exploitative, seeing how hard artists work when doing shows live, to the point where many will perform injured or sick for example, and seeing that the money they receive in return is not nearly proportional to the amount of work they do compared to some label exec or venue owner who only had to sign some papers and hire someone to make scheduling decisions for them
Interestingly, 2set recently said they make almost nothing on the merch they sell and their profit comes from ticket prices. So not sure what they're doing differently?
Sometimes I forget Daniel has 3 million subscribers. The skits always have that small channel vibe.
YeH
Totally know what you mean, but I think that’s why I like them
The stress and the pressure to be creative/ entertaining is A LOT for a person to go through. I appreciate/applaud your hard work Daniel and your strength. Thank you for making these videos ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yeah I really appreciate this, but can’t lie it’s funny watch the retakes.
Robin Williams for example
Getting a lil peeky-poo into Daniel's creative process is absolutely something I'd love to experience more of, be it a video, a book, or livestreams (like the collaborative making of "When your friend acts differently around other people" with his Twitch audience).
Daniel is such an intelligently creative, dedicated comedian, actor, & content creator. There is so, so much involved in his work & I'm so glad Daniel has such a great team behind him to help. Between youtube, his shows, working for the past 14 months to finalize things with Rhett and Link, & all the other things in his life, I'm so happy for him. He deserves every opportunity that comes his way.
100% agree with every single thing
I'm so glad that he hasn't been working on all of this alone. Workload aside, the fact that he has people around him throughout all of this is comforting
Dude, this was brilliant, thanks for documenting this! Good luck with everything you do, it's always a fun time watching
Oh my god. I can't believe how much stress Daniel has to be under... Props to you buddy. You're amazing.
The creative process, and everyone's variation of it, is such an amazing thing to watch. Even the simplest piece can have all the trials and tribulations you could think of. Love these kinds of videos.
Daniel swearing is the funniest thing to me
You should join his twitch streams 😂
@@graceballance2006 he got a Twitch?
I have never seen Daniel speak in any other voice than the King's while wearing that wreath on his head 😂
There's a vid with a blooper where he is wearing the full ensemble and suddenly goes "I think my pizza guy just got here" in his normal voice and then the bell rings. His reaction is so funny 😂😂
I'm glad you showed the raw BTS stress of putting the show together alongside writing, filming and editing other sketches that you upload to your channel. That "youtube is the life" is such a careless comment to any creator, but especially to the stuff you make where there may be music writing + lyrics that needs to have a punchline...People don't realize just how much work and care goes into something like that.
I'm happy for you that the shows went well (I wish I could've gone! :( I live just a tad too far from LA) and I absolutely love your videos. Much love from a longtime fan
It is so precious to have creative minds like Daniel's in this world. Sometimes I stop and think about it and I am so grateful that we can witness these creators' genious
I can't tell where Daniel ends and the character begins
Either way, you're cool and I appreciate how much work you put into your content
I can feel like stress and exhaustion from this. But the quality he serves in his videos are so worth it! He reminds me so much of Bo Burnham. But brighter and doesn't make me question my whole existence.
This show was incredible (I saw it on opening night, Daniel used one of my audience suggestions in an improv song which was really fun). I was really impressed to learn that this dude is in fact just as funny in person as he is on camera!
Edit: I guess this means I've technically been in a Daniel Thrasher video. I'm the dude looking left at 19:37!
It's really easy to forget how much work goes into every thing he's made. I have immense respect for him and his crew, not only because of the quality of the content, but because of the work ethic and resiliency required to keep things up at this pace.
I really love the clean content. If this comment doesn't get lost in cyberspace, I just hope Daniel knows that being, clean, apolitical, and genuinely funny is what keeps me coming back to his videos over and over again. Thank you, Daniel, for the hours and years of ridiculous, lovable nonsense you have provided. This vid was so insightful into the creation process and manifested all the hard work it takes to truly be a star. You are awesome, daddy-o.
Comments like these are so short sighted. I’ve been a working musician and a stand up comedian, and people have no idea how much work happens off stage/camera. The sketches that just don’t have that angle and you spent so long trying to make work, the practice of being able to make an audience forget these characters are all one guy, the dozens of takes, the constant set up of lights and audio and no one ever realizes how much time editing takes. You think “how long could it take to edit a 5 minute video” but that’s just it, there’s way more than 5 minutes footage to cut apart and piece together.
Sorry, long story short I feel you on this so much Dan.
I think of the things in your comment whenever people tell me I should become a YewToober.
@@Corbomite_Meatballs Creative work is made up of tens of hours to have 5 minutes people see. Making it seem it effortless is so much work lol.
I love how Daniel swears on this channel, it’s so different, I’m used to him being family friendly
I loved this BTS stuff! I continue to be amazed at everything you do. Congrats on the show!
I saw laugh or die live and it was honestly an amazing experience. Truly one of the funniest days of my life. This was Ana amazing video and just gives amazing insight on how committed you are to your work.
Duuuuude jealous
Jeremy is right.... The real fans watch your videos alllllll the way through to the end. Your sponsor section and occasional bloopers or BTS stuff is just as good as the main skit. 👍🏻 Especially any kitty footage. 😍
CZcams has become so saturated with people who are looking to half ass content for easy money. We love what you do and appreciate all the effort you put in ❤❤
This made me stressed just watching. So thank you for everything you do and if you need to take a little break just to get some stress free time
Thank you for sharing this. I think a lot of people get the wrong idea about your production. Low budget does not equal low effort. Y’all are doing the best you can and I’ll eat up every damn bite.
This is eye-opening god damn. Good choice of intro footage too, really puts your worth ethic and effort into perspective
I love seeing the outtakes, especially when the cat decides to walk in! Hope you do a show in Ireland in the future. Congrats, Daniel & team!
i loveee seeing these kinds of things! your work ethic and ambition are so admirable! so proud of you! cant wait for your upcoming shows! sending lots of love and endless support!🥰❤️
I WANNA GO TO SEE THIS SHOW !! I'm so sad i live in France 😭
@@gamaraaaa YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
Sometimes I forget just how skilled Daniel Thrasher is at all of the stuff he does
It's great to be able to actually see how much work you put into these. It's awe-inspiring.
this looks way more stressful than i imagined, props to you and your team daniel!
It was fascinating to see the actual process. I used to think it was SOO EASY, and when ever a video didn’t come out immediately i was like “DUDE, C’MON” But now i have some much more respect for daniel and his team. God bless you guys, and I’m sorry🤣
Can we get a full Living on a Prayer cover please?
Also, it's a lot easier to do a live show if you don't agree to do the show until you have content for the show lol. You're great!
I love this type of behind the scenes stuff, it was very interesting to see
Omg that ending was perfect haha you're a total genius, I don't know if I Will ever see one of your shows here in Europe but man you deserve all of this and much more! Love from Italy!!
6:30 Bo Burnham reference let's go
They exist in the same universe
THANK YOU for sharing behind the scenes, that's what we've been waiting for! Just amazing! People need to recognize how much work this really is. Bless you & the team. Can't wait to see your radiating energy in Grand Rapids ;-)
You should be so proud of yourself, Daniel! You and your team are all serious geniuses! 💙 thank you so much for the amazing content
Enjoyed the Behind the Scenes Process, Wish I could've gone & seen it Live. Hope future shows go well, & Keep being Awesome Bro 🎭 😎 👊
Daniel singing"all eyes on me" is just 🌟
I need a full cover.
Maaaaan who would've thought it took this much effort, gotta really apreciate his work though, thanks for always making great content!!
Love ALL your work Daniel. You bring joy to many lives 🌺
Amazing with the Bo Burnham reference
I fuckin loved that
You can really see that Bo's work is an inspiration for Daniel and I love that 😄
This might sound a bit silly but I genuinely had no clue you all put that much work into all the stuff you make, this is really impressive
good luck man, love every thing you do
Amazing to see how much work goes into your videos! You are appreciated!!
Great video documenting the process that goes on behind the scenes. Always love watching the creation of projects from the perspective of the ones creating them
You're awesome Daniel (and your team too!) - I know that being a content creator is a lot of work but your videos are great and I am happy that you are continuing to create and share them! Keep up the great work!!
I just watched his live show in Milwaukee, it was absolutely amazing, and I definitely recommend going.
Great producing in all points! Seeing you and your team produce and then this product about your productions is quite interesting and also very enlightening. Thanks for this making off!
I had to emotionally prepare myself to watch this video, and it was worth it.
Thank you for all of the time and effort you put into producing the best night of my life. I definitely teared up watching the last few minutes and reliving all of it.
Keep up the awesome work. Can't wait to see you when you make it to Arizona.
Hey Daniel! It’s awesome to see your work behind the scenes. So proud of you man!
Wait!! This was awesome! We need more behind the scenes 🤩🎉🎉
You are true inspiration. Thank you for doing what you do❤️
thank you for doing all this for us!!! we really REALLY appreciate it.
Amazing work! It’s really cool to see what goes on behind all these videos!
Cool to see a bit of the process- ya'll make a great team.
I just wanna give him a hug
thanks for sharing, this was really sick
I like to think his entire team is just a group of friends doing youtube for the hell of it
Thanks for the awesomeness and all the effort you and the crew put in these videos! Would totally go to your show if I wasn’t in a completely different continent
I wish I could've seen it! Looks like you did so well!
I saw this on your live, so good!👏
You are truly amazing Daniel. No one thinks about the amount of work, time, and effort that goes into making videos. From now on, I'll make it a point to watch all the way to the end, through the ad, to help your watch time. As much as one person can anyways haha
Thank you very much for this bts, your videos are very good and make me so happy, but the truth is that I had never thought about all the work they require. You do a great job Daniel. And thanks for that little piece of your show for those of us who can't go see you 😢. All the love to you and your team 💙.
Behind the Scenes Gang, takes me back to the fun times on Set 🎭. Danke for sharing, I'll continue to Join the Tours in Spirit Mate 🐺 🐾
This is very inspiring to watch. Thanks for sharing
Man I love this kinda vlog style stuff please do more
Great video! It really paid off. I had such a great night and left feeling so happy and peaceful. Can't wait for the next one!
This was great to watch! my respect for you has shot through the roof and I love all of your content
This makes me remember Bo Burnham shows
omg man . so nice . CONGRATZ! thnx for all this videos and good vibes and happines . you and your team are doing a memorable things ! hellow from Argentina!
The ending was the best part🤣
"WTF Am I doing today? " is me every day of my life
thank you for all of your sacrifices, daniel thrasher.
Really hope you release a taping of this show or something, especially for the people like me who are are in completely different countries, lol
Please do more videos like this that show your thinking and working process
I just want to say thank you for working so hard to keep us entertained
It's good to have this insight. I think it's easy to fall into the illusion, in any artform, that making a job out of it can mean a lot of hard work, but endless creativity and being able to live off of just industriously creating what you love. We don't often see the part about getting into and manipulating the audience's mind, or sometimes being at the will of the impulsive and dopamine-seeking masses, serving the will of an algorithm, company, record label, distributor, sponsor, etc. All of those things are related but separate skills that I think people don't like to address when aspiring to make their art their career. There's no escaping the fact that one has to learn to play the social games by the rules of those above you, deal with the paperwork and on-paper planning and scheduling, and be able to sell their skills to people who see you as nothing more than digital information or another naive applicant or just an npc stranger. Not to diminish pursuing art at all, just I think it's very good that you've put work into publishing this and being somewhat vulnerable about it because an accurate idea of what any job is like will doubtless help people decide on something that they can enjoy and be successful at
Daniel gave the perfect Jim face on the “the show exists to sell merch”
Thank you for sharing the process. Wish I could catch ya, but my area isn't a big stop for people.
the crispy one needs a full version
This is a great behind the scenes. I'm not sure how the team keeps up with Daniel's creativity though :D
I went to the video just to watch all the way to the ad cause you deserve that watch time man! Props! Keep it up!
Great video, watched from start to finish 👏
Huge respect for writing so much good stuff so consistently I know how hard it can be to write something like that, plus all those takes. It sucks but I wish I had had so many hours in a day to record my stuff
Wow the timeline for all of this is insane, I will officially never complain about my workload again
I remember seeing the 5 min sketch clip! I didn't know there was a show attached to it, but ik it was probably great
The little excerpt from no Burnham is perfection.
I can partially relate, especially with the voice acting part. You sit there preparing and writing a script and probably cursing yourself out for a few hours before having to get on the mic and put on a good, cheerful, normal performance. It’s never quite how people think it is.
Damn i didnt expect this much swearing
This is such a great video, I hope he makes another behind the scenes
Love your work, i think your work doesnt pay off, but its noticed
this is a rlly good video, it’s quite inspiring actually. i respect the hustle
it's amazing to watch the master at work
The first video I've ever actually heard Daniel curse in
Thanks for keeping your sketches clean, it means a lot, thats all I'll say
