What I like about Sikhs is that they keep their traditions but fully embrace the western countries that they live in. Honourable men and women. Welcome anywhere they go
If you come you a country, you should learn to love it or go somewhere else.
That's the way to do it - join your new community without forgetting who you are.

@@sam_s_ unfortunately far too many migrate to the western world and stay even tho they hate the native population and culture.

I live not too far from the Sikh temple in Oak Creek, WI, where in 2012 a white supremacist came in, opened fire, and killed 6 people. In the wake of that horrific tragedy, the Sikh did not withdraw, but instead reached out to the community. I would drive by the temple and on the front lawn would be signs with messages of hope, encouragement, and gratitude. It was incredibly moving and humbling, and I gained a new-found respect for this little known segment of America.
As a military historian I can tell you that there are none braver and more loyal than the Sikh soldier. They are ferocious fighters and their courage is renown. Any nation with Sikhs in their military are very fortunate to have them. And that lucky nation's people can sleep very well at night knowing that these brave soldiers are at their posts.
A ground force made of Sikhs, Gurkha, and US Marines, would never be defeated.
Well, only Sikhs are able to revert the islamic invasion on India,,,,and push islamic invaders to Afghanistan,,,they ruled over Afghanistan for 50 year,,, constantly fighting with the groups like talibans,,,
The Gurkhas are unmatched. Sikhs are also brave but nothing compared to the Gurkhas (Hindus).

While everyone just sat there and watched two Sikhs got out of their truck to help me back in, I will never forget their kindness in that moment.
I live in india .but am not sikh .
But Sikhs are really humble and kind
If you're ever driving a truck and are hungry and are tired of eating fast food. Stop at a Sikh temple and you can have a free Indian meal . Anyone can eat free at a Sikh temple, regardless of religion
@@jessejames863 question, if you go to temple and eat will they accept a donation? or is that considered rude? thanks in advance.
@@sventhorborsen7313 It's your choice if you want to give a donation. You can give what you wish. When Sikhs walk into the main prayer hall and bow before our Holy Scripture, the Guru Granth Sahib, before bowing down out of respect we place money inside of a big box . Again, it is your choice what you place in there, a quarter , a dollar, ten dollars, 20 dollars or nothing. It's between you and God , no one needs to know. @@nishantsingh6679 uhh... whut?
@@nishantsingh6679 His point was there is no laws anymore. It is designed that way protect the degenerate cultures of society. The immigration he is talking about is the letting of anyone in without a skill, trade, sponsor, like it used to be. They are coming to America and as an immigrant who was brought in because of his education, he is now giving the freeloaders his own money in taxation. It is like this because those that make laws weaker, want one thing only. To retain power in government. Opening the doors when American citizens are struggling just in hopes of getting their vote. I was in a disgustingly toxic and abusive marriage and when my husband found someone else to leach off of he left me and our son to struggle and rebuild on our own. It was hands down one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face. There I was working double shifts and going to school trying to provide for my child with 0 sleep and 0 energy. There were times where my eyes would swell up with tears and my throat would ache with pressure, holding back my cry because I had to pick between the ice cream my child was begging for or $5 gas to get to work. After my divorce was final and I’d reached rock bottom, in comes a beautiful Sikh man right through my work doors. We’ve been married for 6 years now, we’ve traveled many countries, danced to millions of songs, and laughed till my eyes swelled with tears of joy. He loved us enough to build with us, we now have a really nice home in a neighborhood I would never even dream of living in, we drive cars I’d point out to my son while driving, we have much more than I’ve ever thought was possible. Sikhs. Now that's a group of people who are the essence of Americana. God bless.
Lots of truck drivers also are Sikh, and many small business owners. When you meet one they always are very calm, collected and professional (to me)

@@Rusty945 - Don't mistake looking different for not assimilating. Where I'm from the Sikh community freely feed anyone in need. In times of natural disaster they are the first to help and feed people from any walk of life. I worked with a Sikh a few years back and he was the nicest most cordial guy. He was the engineer for the project we were on. Super chill, yet a hard worker.

Sikhs are great people. 👍🇺🇲
The Sikhs are great, generous people. A long time ago I worked at an airport as a skycap, checking in luggage, and the Sikhs were always, by far, the biggest tippers. Videos like this help people appreciate them instead of freaking out like after 9/11. Also CZcams has some great videos about the Sikh Golden Temple in Amritsar, India.
Thank you for the kind words
I work directly with the majority of those gentlemen in the video especially Dale. It looks like you rode with him? They are respectful people and I've actually never have seen them get upset or rude with me or my coworkers. They are AMERICANS just the same as you and I. They have been in the central valley of California for a long time. I admire how generous their community is. I appreciate this video just because I do business with most of those gentlemen and it's very interesting to learn more about their past and history. I think I might ask to join in on a ride.
The Sikhs I have met here in Stockton/Lodi and the rest of the Central Valley are the exact embodiment of the American Dream. 100% inspiring to me the lot of them!

From California here, and I want to give a big shout out to our Sikh community. They are a blessing to have live in our state, and anywhere else they decide to live.
I will say I was first confused when I first encountered their culture. Were they Muslim? Why are they carrying daggers/swords? But as I live on a street that is between the grand Gurdwara of our city and one of the smaller temples, we are often exposed to parades during holidays as they travel to festivities. Over time I learned more of their culture, and it became less of a mystery.
One of my best friends at work is a Sikh, and I always look forward to the days I get to work with them. Did you know I had some Seviyaan Kheer for dessert yesterday? Its was yummy!
