This officer was one of the most honest individuals I have ever heard. This man should be in office instead of the politicians we have now. My respect to you, Sherriff
Don't forget sheriffs are an elected position and that does actually make them politicians to a certain degree. But it also means he can be held accountable in an election by his community.

All Sheriff's are an elected official. The Sheriff should be accountable by the people in their county. If not, they should be voted out. The people of Yuma County must like him and the job he does, since he's held his job for a long time. 👍

Why does the cocopah tribe not support a border wall? I get the river aspect and ask for a gate. Illegals flood into the reservation. If the cocopah people want open borders fine, maybe the border wall should go outside of the reservation, keeping the illegals locked onto your reservation.

Except he doesn't have any solutions either. He just casts blame. The root of the problem is in other nations. When someone leaves Venezueala, or El Salvador, Ukraine, or any of the places mentioned here, then it potentially becomes a problem for us. When will guys like the sheriff stop blaming and start talking about how to keep these people from leaving their homes, whereever that might be, in the first place. It's a daunting problem; one that has no perfect solution. It isn't about who you can blame. The only thing that slowed it down at all was a global pandemic.

Im trying to understand, under the previous administration there was title 42 which still exists but its for Mexicans. Under the previous administration he said the rule of law was enforced in the prior administration ... what rule of law is not enforced now? Title 8 and 42 haven't changed. That's the misconception my ancestors get. Family would literally come over for the weekend for a party and then leave. People don't realize a couple decades ago it was so easy for mexicans to cross over. Super easy to get a visa. Things changed, especially after 911. Now visas are cap, and literally people from all over are trying to cross the border, and most of them are from all over the world, especially central america.
Yeah .... The Mexican economy is doing super well.

These border sheriffs are naive, and/or are just playing a game with Americans safety and lives. They apparently aren't that interested in catching these illegals crossing over, 'cause they lat that one illegal get away, when he could just carry German Shepherd dogs with him to chase these illegals down and catch. He doesn't act too irritated that he got away? I'll bet he'd be on top of somebody walking through his OWN YARD who doesn't belong there, yet doesn't break a sweat trying to catch the illegal trying to sneak past him? As far as I'm concerned, ALL of these illegals getting past him and into our country, when they cause Americans to suffer and/or die, it's these border sheriffs fault for not doing their jobs in protecting our southern border.

I'm from India but moved to US when i was a kid but lemme tell you I've had AT LEAST 15-20 family, relatives or friends hop the border within the last 7-8 yrs from India. And all just from my One state in India lol. Mexicans and central americans are the most for sure. But it's everyone from around the world as you seen in this video.

I'm not sure.. It's a MASSIVE problem. And while I agree having new people come here legally, is incredibly important for our Countries success, and helps continue the greatness of our Country.. But being okay with folks coming in Illegally is just outright idiotic.. People don't understand, when you say "Migrant" the first thing most people think of is "Mexican" folks. Which is just not true. People travel from every Continent to illegally enter our country. Every single one of those Countries has a totally different Law structure as we do. For example, some Countries, and Regions in those countries allow People above the age of 18 to date people who are 14 years old. As sick as that sounds, it's just a fact and a way of life for some, but the issue lies in these people illegally enter our country, and think doing this stuff is still allowed when it isn't. The same can be said about virtually every other crime you can think of, Drugs, Murder, Larceny, I mean everything. So there's just a massive cultural difference, and allowing people to bypass those literacy test's, and History test's, and tests on the Laws of our country, is a recipe for disaster, and It pains me to see anybody in this country be divided on this issue.. Like it's pretty common sense.

Here in the states like Texas we have the Romeo and juliet law which protects people dating in the scenario that you pointed out and in the Carolinas gop tried to pass some child marriage laws and if I remember correctly it got stricken down. The main reason people don't like immigration is because they've been told this by the media they consume and being told about it every day by people like tucker carlson and being lied to helps reinforce those ideas. Fact of the matter is our immigration system is in need of an overhaul and the process needs to be streamlined because it takes far too long to gain citizenship legally. Usually takes many years and in the case of my friends granddad, it took him nearly 13 years. Pretty sure he died like 4 years later so he enjoyed 4 years of citizenship.
