You left out the part where they pay the cartel to cross from Mexico into the US. Every section of the border between US & MX is controlled by the cartels unless you use a standard port of entry. They usually charge $2000-10,000 depending on where you come from. If you don't have money, you can sign over land, homes, property or valuable items. If you are unable to pay, usually they hold you & don't allow you to cross. The banks of the Rio where I live will often be littered with wristbands of different colors, which tell the cartels where they're from & how much money they still owe or don't owe to cross.

Mexicans are some of the hardest working people I've ever seen. I was a single mom living in a super cheap complex that was 90% Mexicans.I would see them all WALKING to work every morning in droves for this landscaping Co. These were 2 bedroom flats so it had to be 6-10 people in a 2 bedroom. Every weekend they'd blast music and barbecue but they were the best neighbors I've ever had! When I would get home they'd carry in my groceries, help me fix anything broken, keep my walk way shoveled from snow since the complex didn't😠, always offered food or a corona, and would tell me anyone who knocked on my door! Don't know their status but I'd live amongst them any day! Safest I've ever felt living alone as a single mom!!!

The American dream is exactly what it says. It's a dream and then you wake up. I'm glad that your family is hanging in there. It's not easy. I'm just tired of people saying that America is their country and trump saying make America great again. They're saying make America white again. Only way America will be great is that everyone is treated equal. This country would have never made it without all of us. We all are taxpayers & we have to get out and vote in every election.

@@BBlackwell28 My family, friends, and I are all conservative Republicans. We all voted for President Trump. I have NEVER heard anyone say or even insinuate that they want to "make America white again". That would be racist and I find it extremely offensive. The fact that you or anyone would even say something like that about a group of people that you don't even know and/or have never met in your life says more about you than anything. Also, everyone in this country IS treated equally as it states under our wonderful US Constitution. Tell me, what can I do that you can't? What laws are keeping anyone who isn't white from going out and doing the same things that white people can do? I'll wait. As a woman, there's also nothing that legally keeps me from doing the same jobs or things as men, except for the obvious biological differences between men and women (I know, super scary). This perpetual victimhood ideology must end. It's utter nonsense.

My girlfriend was one of them, I have many friends that were one of them and I'm happy they are here but regardless of all that, the rules are the rules for a reason. It's easy to talk like you are when you're not knowingly paying the cost. I dislike my life as well sometimes, I'd rather live like Lebron James but I can't go into his home and live there. It seems there is corruption in all govts. Mexico, govt with the wealthy (hello intents of the R party leadership) are a basis of this, but Ams need to own our hidden history, when oil found in Mexico in 70s during the embargo/"energy crisis" Mexico was loaned all kinds of money, not just by US. The price came down, Mexico was left hanging, except for the loans, long story short, the Banks - the 'investors' - said keep up on your payments, interest 1st, oh now can't? The govt 'agreements' now demand Stop your population vaccinations etc and pay us 'our' interest 1st and instead. Etc, etc. The poverty and corruption sending people across the border is directly connected to the US, and other countries. The desperate follow follow the same attempts you ancestors did, and what you would if you faced the same. The banks/corps, and their political party, here prime you to see the resulting poor with hate, so you will never look at the banks/wealthy/party, even as the wealth gap grows, as you are eased closer to the circumstance of these also wronged citizens. What is governing? The protection of those with already enough or protections of all the citizens, or all those who pay proportionate taxes. Why do those who pay taxes protect those don't but maintain great wealth, not being workers nor taxpayers? What would the founders say? What really is 'originalism,' besides another diverting excuse?

Those that are too cowardly and refuse to fight the corruption in their home country and those that come here because they are looking for the easy way out. That's not heroes. They are just people running from their problems and those with zero courage to stand up and fight for themselves.

Thanks for showing this, when I was 12 years old I spent 3 days with my parents in the Arizona dessert, the “Coyote” got lost, left us in the dessert and he was gone by the third night. At least he was kind enough to call ICE and let them know where we were. I will never forget the endless miles we walked day and night in the dessert. We ran out of water and food, hid under trees every time we heard a helicopter, painted my shoes black 😂 …at my young age, I didn’t suffer many physical injuries but many others did, my mom couldn’t walk for a week after that. An experience I will never forget.
