Is there still a place for scratch building in the age of 3D printing? We say absolutely yes! Our unique Stompa is brimming with character and brought us so much joy during its creation. Warhammer 40K should be fun and a bit silly, and this project definitely captures that spirit.

This is giving me flashbacks to when I made an Ork Dreadnought from a camera film tube when I was 12. The Stompa definitely has a more unique character than the GW one. Also, you might find the Tamiya model handsaw useful for when a knife isn't cutting it

I just built a stompa, oh the misery, and painting it has proved to he interesting.
i just got mine assembled into subassemblies. Worst instructions ever. Step 15 skips adding the guns to the chainsaw. It's just there in step 16. What really gets me, is the lamp in step 22. I have no clue where it goes and I can't find it in any stompa pictures. Can't even see it in on the finished versions of the stompa on the instructions. I still love it though.
Best part of making ork models out of trash is that it's lore accurate ;) great job, fun video

Haha have heard the stompa kit can be a bit tricky with gaps!

Pretty frigidity fresh, if you take out the time cost this is actually cheaper than printing one.
Quick off the top of my head estimate says it would cost a minimum of 10 pounds in Fdm if not more.
And maybe a little cheaper in resin depending on how it's been hollowed/split and how it's been supported

Man, I know the Stompa kit is old but yours is just looking cheap... no rivets, no detailing... nice to begin with but nowhere better than GWs Stompa...

KitbashCarnage hear at the age of 31 iv recently got back into the warhammer/kitbashing community agen after taking 15year brake to pay bills and so on .
I have taken the leap head on and started a youtube channel along with Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok. It's hard with my dyslexia and not being as young as the others as this algorithm thing is somthing to get used to along with editing and so on but my love and the flame for my lost passion has been reignited more then ever and dont plan on stopping soon .
Along with having lots of content plans and already in the pipeline and also a Revamp to all social media with new header picture and profile picture from a digital contractor I sorced I hope to just gain more traction to the community iv came back to .
