  • This weeks Open Box is the Hatsan Hydra. The Hydra is A 4 in 1 gun. You can go from .177 to .22 to .25 and even an ARROW GUN with the twist of a thumb. Utilizing their new Versi-Cal technology, the Hydra couples a barreled receiver in one of three calibers to a single rifle action. This allows the user to quickly change the barreled receiver via a single thumb screw located at the back of the breech.
I'm not gonna lie...this one got away from me and the video is long. I just received this gun and had to get to know it so I thought I'd let you come along fro the ride. Figuring out an airgun at first look is always entertaining and I make the mistakes in my garage now, so you don't later.

Hatsan certainly has some very nice airguns, but Hatsan USA has terrible customer service. I've tried to contact them for over a month for a part, but have gotten no response. FX, Crosman, and Umarex on the other hand have excellent customer service. I really enjoy all of your videos Rossi. Thank you for doing the work and taking the time to produce them.

great KIT. nice to see other manufacturers are going the barrel exchange way. it would be nice if Hatsan would colourcode the magazines like BSA. (blue for .177 ; red for .22 ; etc) if you wnat to measure the speed of the arrows you'll have to go in the app and select another speed range. (i had the same "problem" with some pellets) see ya!

I love my Hatsans, but am weary of interchangeable barrels only because of what Steve Scialli said. I don't have any experience, so I can't give a 1st hand experience to be fair. Otherwise, my Hatsans are laser beams. This looks killer, though I must admit.

Planning on getting a hydra soon. I love the traditional wood stocks. I’ll be getting the .25, think this will make a great small game and varmint hunter. Living on a farm I still love using airguns. Having neighbors on the edges of my property, an airgun is definitely a safer option for hunting pests. But still, 25fpe could kill someone.. so I always wait for the right shot.

Hatsan have been bringing it lately. This gun is going to fly off the shelves. In the UK .177 and .22, USA .25 maybe .22 and arrow. No brainer.

I just got one I want to add a regulator will you add a regulator to this gun and make a video of it ? I payed 275.00 for mine in the refurbished section on the hatsan web site . It was brand new never been shot . That little metal bar you said nothing about is used to help unscrew the back thumb screw .

@@americanairgunner You’ve been airgunning for years. So I’ll ask. I do own a Hatsan 135 .25 that shoots accurate and hard with H&N grizzlies. Do you think that would work on coyote in that 20 yard range? Or would the hydras little extra energy be needed?

@@notavailable7578 I personally wouldn’t shoot a coyote with a springer. Low power, not laser accurate and if you miss at that distance...no quick follow up shot. If you are going after anything bigger than a squirrel...I’d recommend a PCP
