Tom is the last man standing from the early 80’s A list actors to STILL be on that A list. He knows he’s one major flop away from losing that 40 year top spot. That’s why he puts everything he’s got and then some in his movies. He’s not like these lazy CG actors. Say what you want but his movies are worth the watch.

He loves fighter jets, the way others love fast cars, or power boats. I remember taking him to the Southend Air Show in England when he was little, and when the Tornado would break the sound barrier....he would just get so excited. He doesn’t care what country the fast jets come from....he just loves them. He would envy you, Sir. 👍🏽🌹

I love the maturity of character I am seeing in Tom Cruise in this movie. When he speaks about the gravity forces working on the actors and how proud he is of them for bucking up to the challenge ... I am seeing a new person, one who has my respect and one who has my attention.

I was 18 when the first one came out. I think I spent the next 2 years or so quoting the movie daily. Top Gun was a huge hit back in the day and I hope this one is too. Tom Cruise does not age!

The first film was iconic for so many, this follow up film looks equally as good. As someone who worked in aerospace on the radar and flir systems on the F-14, F-15 and F-18 it made me tear up. Thanks to our wonderful military that train so hard to be so good! God bless our military folks!!!!!

I'm 79 my friend and I went to see the original at least 10 times, and must admit for me it was the thrill of flying and Ice man. My friend passed and her daughter made a DVD of her adventures and used the music from Top Gun as the background music. She was a great friend and loved the movie.
Its amazing the effort Hollywood puts in into some of its movies. And ofcourse Tom cruise functions at another level.
Junior high, cut school 3x to watch this movie. Never get tired of watching Cruise. Can't wait to watch in IMAX theater!

I Am a former USAF aircraft maintainer. No matter the service, airplanes and the amazing things they can do in the hands of a skilled pilot intrigue me. This movie from what I see will eclipse the first Top Gun. Anxiously await the release. I am 70 yrs old now but have never lost my spirit of adventure and adoration of airplanes. USAF HOOYAH!
Shout out to Tom Cruise for trying to single handily bring back the Theater experience/imax. I think if enough people see this in imax it will bring people back to the theaters again. I hope he pulls it off

Some would argue Cruise 🚢 was being Cruise 🚢 in Magnolia as well, which would make his last real performance was in BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY 🇺🇸. A perfect movie 🍿 btw.

He didn't even look like himself AT ALL.

I can't wait to see Top Gun 2 - having watched the original Top Gun Movie at the Cinema when it came out 5 times back in 1986 and numerous times ever since, I am truly a FAN! I just loved this movie, and also having an uncle who flew these planes in the RAAF, I have always been thrilled and captivated by the look, sound and speed of these aircrafts - I only wish I learnt how to fly myself....
I saw this in 1986, joined the Navy just after. Retired from the Navy in 07... will be watching it when it hits the theater.

Absolutely loved the Top Gun, fine acting, believable story for the time, cutting edge flying & the music was fantastic. Bought the soundtrack & still play it all the time. I hope this soundtrack is at least half as good as the original.

We are waiting here in south América Uruguay, for this awesome movie, i saw the top gun 1 Like 50 times, i have a jacket and a bike like him, im not a pilot sadly, but im a firefighter truck driver and proud, put that movie on netflix or something, damm you covid 19, no movie theater Open.its an inspiration this movie

I was a USN SAR Swimmer 86’-89’. I know the SAR crew that worked on the original and shot the recovery scene of the flat spin crash. That was filmed in San Diego Bay. We used to walk around the mall in our leather flight jackets to pick up chicks. We were such cheese dicks thinking back on it...we were SAR swimmers, not pilots. But those were fun times as a 20-year old kid. It was a great time to be a part of Naval Aviation. Everyone was proud.

I LOVE IT! It's TRUE about the two trailers shown: I've spent over 24 plus years in the military (joint operations) with all services. Commanders will appreciate and acknowledge your great deeds. However, some may like your methods and other might NOT! In the end all of them want you to succeed...my advice for Hollywood (Tom C) is to show a third trailer (combine them together) for a comparison and contrast. The movie is gonna be GREAT!

With the exception of Avengers: Endgame this is easily the most hyped I’ve ever been for a movie, EVER! I’m only 25 and saw the original top gun a little over a year ago but as someone who works in aviation, spends most of my time looking at and researching aircraft, and am just a huge movie fan, I cannot help but get soo damn hyped about this being released every time I think about it! 🔥🔥🔥
