- Happy is a talking parakeet that loves to say tickle, tickle, step-up, and you're so cute. His species name is known as a Lineolated Parakeet, a Barred Parakeet, or a Catherine Parakeet. I have many different species of pet parrots. I LOVE them all. Some have been rescued and some I bought as babies. This SWEET Lineolated Parakeet has truly STOLEN my heart! He LOVES me personally and had a great home in the past. In the few days we have had him in our home, Happy says, Tickle Tickle, You're such a Good Boy, Step Up, & You're SO cute! Wild Linnies can be found from South Mexico to West Panama, West Colombia, in parts of the Andes in North-West Venezuela, North-West Ecuador, Bolivia, and Central Peru. They are fairly quiet and can learn to talk well.

Your little gal is adorable. What else does she say? I couldn't quite make it out "catch a berry"? 😂 One of my males says "pretty bird" repeatively... especially while mating. Either with his bonded hen or with an inanimate object. 😂 Then low and behold one of my other male linnies I happened to catch while mating was spewing out "pretty bird" over and over. What a coincidence since my little Levi had never talked before (but he is one of my champion breeders and has provided me with many healthy chicks). I absolutely love these birds! Tickle Tickle to your little fid.
Cute bird. Are barred parakeet safe with other birds? I have a parrotlet. I've never heard of lineolated/barred parakeet until a saw a few videos. What are the Pros & cons of owning one? I'm trying to get a 2nd bird so that my bird doesn't feel lonely. For now I was going with a budgie, but didn't know that the barred existed until now.

Too cute. We have 2 linnies, and one isn't very vocal, just chirps. The other guy though copies my beatboxes, sings if you're happy and you know it. So funny
