Thanks Tyler! I can only speak to the part you mentioned about health; as I am a hemiplegic stroke survivor. My life has changed completely since having a stroke. My art has sluggishly continued; but is much harder to get done with my opposite hand. Yes; take care of your health!God bless you, sir!

Sorry to hear that, I can’t imagine how challenging that is to overcome. Bless you dude

the fact you're still trying is amazing! Good luck with your art journey man, that's pretty inspiring.

You are incredible! I'm glad you are still doing art, must take so much guts and effort which I can't even imagine.

Nobody is probably going to read this but I can’t help but feel rushed, or that I’m not keeping up. I’m in my early highschool years while attending college classes at the same time, so my time is filled with work yet I still see my peers drawing, and able to do so much more than I can. I’ve been okay at my art pursuit till now, everyone feels so advanced for me- seeing such cool art on social media- even ages younger than me. It’s discouraging, and make me even doubt if the art path is even for me, even if it’s been my dreams since a little girl. I don’t know what to do, I may quit but who knows, these videos give me a little hope at least.

Don’t compare yourself to others in that way. Block out a schedule for yourself that is healthy to maintain balance with. All you need to do is focusing on being just a little bit better than you were the week before.

Really good advice! I keep forgetting that proper rest is an important part of the routine and not just an extra. If you stare at the same artwork for 8 hours straight you won't even see any errors anymore and start hating yourself for being not productive.

I'm super curious how you handle all those little tasks that stack up: dishes, laundry, phone calls, meetings. I find it super difficult to get 2-3h of uninterrupted work time.

Thanks man. The thing is I don't want to draw within a short time frame 😂. That's why I only, like, draw quick sketches once or nothing on weekdays (because of work) but I go full force on weekends. Is this okay or should I proceed with a plan to go daily instead?

If you find this works best for you then why change it. That’s the deal is to be self aware enough to know what works for your season of life

yeah, after watching the blender bros talk for 30 minutes straight about 'no breaks, youre done when youve landed a job' this seems more reasonable. Have you seen that video? What do you think about their dogmatic approach?
