IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety): The 2023 RX has been tested by the IIHS and received the following ratings:
Moderate overlap frontal crash test: Good score (highest rating)
Small overlap frontal crash test (driver-side): Good score (highest rating)
Side impact test: Good score (highest rating)
Roof strength test: Good score (highest rating)
Headlights: Varied ratings depending on the trim level (Some trims received an "Acceptable" rating, while others were rated as "Poor")
Overall, based on the IIHS results, the 2023 Lexus RX performs well in most crash test categories, indicating a high level of occupant protection in various collision scenarios.
2022 Lexus RX:
Euro NCAP: The 2022 RX was tested by Euro NCAP and received a 5-star safety rating (the highest possible).
Adult occupant protection: 86%
Child occupant protection: 85%
Pedestrian protection: 73%
Safety assist: 82%
