@@TotallydubbedHDHi dude, recently found your channel and went through MANY vids. Great vids first of all. But I didnt see any video regarding the Lenovo Legion's 360hz Monitor (Y25G-30).
So, quick question if you wouldve reviewed it or if you got to play around with it. What would you prefer? Legion or the ALW?
Keeping in mind Legion have the Nvidia Reflex tech straight from the box vs ALW's FreeSync.
Eagerly waiting for your response 😊
@@soumilwadhia2108 thanks! Not tried it, but it's likely using the same panel as this one.
@@TotallydubbedHD Question does this alienware aw2523hf do coil whine??
I've seen reports that it happens a lot on this monitor
Great video as usual, would love to see the 2566k review hopefully one day mate :D
Thanks buddy!
If price isn’t a concern, would you recommend this monitor over AOC 24g2zu?
best settings for the monitor? finding mine a bit grainy
It’s on sale for $299 right now. Is that the best monitor for that price? I mainly play cs2
I notice the retractable headset stand sticks out slightly from the monitor. Can this be removed? I like to keep my monitors close together and feel like it would cause a gap between them
I can't recall it sticking out when in the monitor.
It’s the motion blur noticeably, hard to see on phone?
i need help with my alien ware 25 it doesn’t have sound on my pc
If I have the AW2521 HFL , BTW I hate the fact that I’m stuck on the fast response time because of the ghosting on extreme, should I upgrade to this one here since there is not this problem? I can have it for 150$ thats why.
Erm, sure? Suggest watching the video.
hey, when you mentionned motion-blur reduction technologies, did you mean something like the elmb function I have on my current 144hz asus monitor? because i never even use that anyway. because this monitor is the cheapest 360 hz monitor here in Belgium coming in at 390 euro. would you reccomend getting this or rather get the 'ASUS ROG Strix XG249CM' which is a 240-270 hz for 340 euro?
That's right. Not tried the other, so can't comment
@@TotallydubbedHD then lemme put it like this. Should I choose this 360hz alienware monitor or rather a fully specced 240hz monitor?
@@Mago-gq4xt that's up to you to decide. Hopefully the video should give you all the information you need to make that decision. The verdict is pretty clear.
can i have a gaming monitor arm instead of the alienware thing??
Any thoughts on the acer predator XB253Q GW?
how to get the saturation unlocked
Bless you
hello, may i ask how this monitor performs at 240hz? I'm debating if I should get this monitor or the vg279qm because some of my games can run at 360hz and others at 240hz. I want to know if this monitor has similar or better response times compared to the vg279qm at 240hz and what overdrive setting should be used at 240hz.
@@ryanknight4952 you'll always want to run at max refresh rate, even if you can't output the FPS. FPS isn't the same as max refresh rate, but there are other variables to consider for that, like tearing and total system latency. But that's not too worry about in your predicament.
qual melhor, fast, super fast, extreme??
Currently, i can get this monitor for £250. Curious to know any opinions on whether or not its worth over something like a 240hz zowie XL2540K (for the exact same price)

So is this fit with 4060ti
Without Gsync ??
Or should i buy Zowie instead ??
Umm I know I am little late but Im not sure if the 4060 ti will even reach up to 360 fps in e sport games. I have this monitor paired with the 7800 xt and is goes well above 360 fps in those games.
you can use 240hz, Which I am considering to buy it and use it for 240hz because my system is i5 12400f, 4060ti 16gb,
Hi. I'm considering getting this monitor over my current XG2431 which I am going to return because of its backlight bleed. Wanted to ask how does it look in 240Hz compared to 240Hz of XG2431 and whats the input lag on that refresh rate?
No idea, not sure why you'd run it at a lower refresh rate either?
@@TotallydubbedHD In some games I do play if you go over 240Hz your game is breaking. Already decided to return my XG2431 due to its backlight bleed which was extremely frustrating. I just hope that AW looks better. Also I've found it weird because your INPUT LAG for AW is slightly higher(for XG2431 lower) than what people from RTINGS measured.
@@ChEeFo2000 that sounds odd and shouldn't be the case. Are you sure you don't have a GPU or CPU issue there?

when is dell/alienware releasing new monitors?
No idea!
I had the 24G2SPU and now i have the EX240, all i can say is that i have better reactions on Rocket League with 24G2SPU.
While with the EX240 i feel like im average 2 seconds slower on every aspect at what i want to do on Rocket League.
This time i will go for AW2523HF, im hoping to get similar reaction on what i had on 24G2SPU, if not...i will buy again AOC.
Suggest looking elsewhere, but enjoy.
@@TotallydubbedHD soo i got the aw2523hf and it feels more responsive in rocket league compared with ex240, soo i feel it neck in neck with 24g2spu, overall i will keep aw2523hf , thank you for the review👍
So it has motion blur?
8:54 why u cant change saturation? how u can do it?
Can't recall. Check the manual.
This monitor or acer nitro xv252qf which is better?
Aw Acer nitro in my experience are budget the motion blur is pretty bad
Hi, what do you think about refresh compliance ?
I watch your videos entirely but I don't really hear you talk about it, it's supposed to be a super important point, for example for a screen at 240hz, if they only go 60% average, that means that the screen only goes to 60% of 240hz and therefore true 165/180hz~ experience, not 240hz.
You can feels that humanly by yourself with the XL2566K, put that in 240hz vs this Alienware or a XG2431 which are 60%~ of refresh compliance, you can feel this feeling of slowness.
What do you think is the correct refresh compliance rate for 240hz?
Don't you find it shameful to have screens that are sold in 240hz but don't really perform at the advertised hertz rate?
Often, the IPS shows a lot of overshoot if you want to have a good refresh compliance and that's sad.
Another example ( i don't know if it's because it's TN vs IPS ) but in 144hz lock the XL2566K feels so much better than a XG2431, like, the ViewSonic have so much ghosting/motion blur while the BenQ are so clear ( without DyAc ! )
Anyway for me Alienware is a no go because everytime their black equaliser perform very bad and there is no color vibrance.
Thanks for sharing! Yes, it's something I might look into - it's important to a certain degree, as you pointed out. Though, it's often very hard to get over 80% compliance, so will need to do some more research in it too see what's really acceptable. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@TotallydubbedHD Since we are demanding on this point, I admit that it's pretty cool that you test this because very few people do the refresh compliance test (anyway, Rtings don't even do it!) so be proud of it.
Yes, apart from the XL2566K/LG OLED 240hz and a few other monitors, it's hard to get more than 80% refresh compliance, but that's only for high hertz.
The 144/165hz even IPS panel don't really have much trouble about refresh compliance, in fact I was talking mainly for the 240hz and the 360hz.
But yes, thank you for that, have a good day !
@@AquilaeYT yup good points! And glad you appreciate it :)
@@AquilaeYT Good point. 3 months since have you found a monitor with high enough pixel response to actually make use of 240-360hz. Aside from that xl2566k benq one. Oleds obviously have the pixel refresh response times since theyre oleds but they have their own issues, high price being one.
@@Andytlp Nope unfortunately, always testing some monitors...
In fact, I think I don't like monitors below 27 inch but 1080p above 25 inch it's horrible I can't see anything in Apex Legends.
I test actually a 4K panel and I don't have enough FPS but holy sh*t I play so much better on this because I have the perfect vision and interesting thing I have found...the more you have a blurry resolution, the more you have the impression to have ghosting, my 4K AOC 144hz actually is only a 144hz with blurry UFO test but with g-sync/v-sync in low settings I see my opponent so clearly even when they move.
While on a XG259CM that I also test actually, it's just blurry all the time, so weird.
I play call of duty on an Xbox series x what settings/calibration would you recommend?
Did u get it after all? Playing on the x as well and looking for a monitor
This is overkill for a console
@@Bandz1of1 Ik I was eventually getting a PC
@@juanc1376 nah he never gave me settings for xbox
How it feels to play on 60fps games on this monitor? Or something like 100+
Does it feel good even if u have 360hz set up?
I'm not hardcore competetive player, but i would love to have a monitor that does everything at once, depends what i wanna play right now. Very good colors, decent contrast for IPS panel and if needed using those 360hz, if not then play on good 60fps or 100+ fps games while VRR is on.
Also are pixels that bad comparing 23.8 to 24.5 inch? Is it noticable?
Absolutely no point then.
@TotallydubbedHD What u mean with no point? I mean that for some games like CS2 and other that can handle the 360hz/240hz refresh rate I can use it, but for games that can only get around 60-100+fps how it can handle it. I'm variety player and playing different games depended on a mood.
@@Berkelll ah understood, thought you meant just for non competitive games. In that case, look at the alternatives suggested on the description.
@@Berkelll What monitor did you finally buy? I have the same motivation like you - looking for a monitor on which I can play Valorant and sometimes some other single player titles like Cyberpunk 2077, for example.
I initially figure out, LG 27gp850-b would be best fitting all-rounder, because it would nicely fit to my GPU capabilites (RX 6750 XT) like maxing out the FPS on Valorant as well as having very good response time for single player titles (C2077 would have around 65-90 FPS on Ultra settings on this GPU). After that I found the Alienware monitor. It turned out it has at least the same response times at the lower FPS as the mentioned LG one. So for now I'll go with AW2523HF despite 1080p instead of 1440p. Still, Im curious what monitor did you pick. Cheers
Same situation here but the point is, is there a notable difference between the AW2523HF and the AW2724HF since there starting at the same price range?

my brother totallydubbed, i just rewatched your xl2546k review from 2021. you go pretty harsh on the fact that it still has a TN panel, but for competitive gaming titles like valorant and fortnite, dyac is pretty important, noted by the fact that a lot of pros still use this monitor. do you think its still worth to go for TN 240hz w/ dyac over a 360hz IPS with no motion blur technology for competitive gaming?

Neither, check the description!
