Met Tony 3 times - absolutely lovely man. So genuine and warm. So far removed from the primadonnas of today’s age.

It takes a very strong person to be a recovering alcoholic. Temptation is everywhere. Respect to Tony

Considering he liked the sauce and had his demons, he was one hell of a defender.

He's lying through his teeth. He 'bottled' it and Southgate the young pup at the time was forced to take that penalty. Gareth was the sacrificial lamb. Hope Gareth redemption is near. May he lift up that trophy. He is the true leader of men.

What did you want him to do!, give him an ice cream, Adams is a defender and not a good penalty taker so Southgate was a worthy choice, either that or Southgate shouldn’t have been in the team at all.

Darren Anderson was the sixth most recognised penalty taker on the pitch…but he bottled it.
