Considering microbest manufactures SOLGW, BCM, etc. BCGs and then you get their assembly and QC on top of that. Carrier is made by Microbest but that doesn’t mean SOLGW doesn’t have a hand to play in how it’s made. Microbest carriers can range from cheap but still serviceable to expensive but very high quality. All depends on how the company that’s ordering them has them built. Ive never seen a SOLGW fail gauge testing. They are made to a very specific and consistent tolerance. Whereas I’ve seen tolerance issues with BCM before, although nothing that caused issues. However I’ve never seen any Microbest carrier fail in any catastrophic manner.

They are "just" microbest BCGs (also who makes BCM) with a spring upgrade you can do for $5 in 5 minutes.
BUT I would buy my next BCG from them, knowing Im getting the best of the batch and paying a few bucks extra for another round of quality control and individual testing should microbest's QC slip.

They claim it is not a coating, its all the way through, so no chance of wearing off. I can't seem to find much information about this. AR fans spend 90% of their time talking about ways to prevent their guns from malfunctioning, but they get furious when people say AR's are unreliable!
Where are the videos about strategies to keep AK-47's from malfunctioning?

the science of metallurgy, not a person's enthusiastic desire to build a bcg. metallurgy !
as for a c158 (bolt,) it is fantastic, and should last upwards of 20,000 rounds, of which equates to about $10,000 in ammo. that is currently, (9) new tac 15 AR's by stag arms. anyone have a clue what 20,000 rounds of 5.56 ammo looks like ?
you have to be independently wealthy to stay home and dump pounds of ammo down range all day.
vietnam war vets that had seen heavy action during a tour barely dumped a thousand rounds.
the AR group percentile that gobble up this many rounds in a guns lifespan has to be "extremely" low. and by the way, hardly a travesty to have to buy another 20,000 round bcg for $150,00 ) after 15 yrs of use, by even the above average shooter.
as for gas block, it falls underneath the bcg in failing order, along with barrel. accuracy will be diminished with use, but a barrel just does not fail, unless dropped or worse.
    this topic is so played.

Chalk it up to the old camera jitters. I would know. In real life I make Cool Hand Luke come across as a doofus, put me in front of a camera and watch my IQ drop.

All I'm hearing is excuses why they aren't innovating.
