"she climbed that tree"
"with her bare hands?"
"no no she's got human hands"
Lee's wife catches so many strays on this show hahaha. đ
Makes me thinks he actually loves her sooo much
Oh of course. Its all love hahaâ@kooolkidninjamaster
they always give Lee the most ridiculous ones, i assume on purpose so we can hear his wit even in the crazy circumstances
I've been thinking similar - they've gone through all the stories from his past so now they see it as an improv prompt and it's an unbilled but inherent part of the show
@@BogusNoise but the thing is they rarely give David an absurd lie but it seems to be always Lee which is funny
The lie he was given about the gas stations was the perfect example of this đ
Well doneâŠ
Iâve been paying close attention to him, and the man has a lightning fast mind. Lee is incredible.
1:35 "...and that's when the donkey fell in love with me. We've been married ever since. Thank you." đđđ
Given Rob, David & Lee have socialised and become good friends for 15+ years I do find it hard to believe that they donât know all these stories about one another already.
Sometimes they have to act like they don't. Like when Lee set a world record in darts
Once the show took off and they realized it might run for several years, I wonder if they made up stories of their lives, told over dinners, that were not true. Something to keep a bit of plausible ambiguity between them just for the show.
@@micmackman4444 đ
They need to do a special where Lee and his wife have a dinner with David and Victoria. Make it 2 hours long minimum.
Like come dine with me. đ
How very invasive...and stalkerish... Lee's wife obviously has no desire to be known...or she would have been in one of Lee's other programmes over the years... how bizarre that the content David and Lee produce is not enough for you... touch grass...
â@@datgrrl5698 Its even more bizzare than you managed to take offence at a youtube comment from, lets face it, a relative nobody, just like you and me.....
Whenever Lee says he was 9 years old , he is lying đ€Łđ€Ł
For each of these, they give Lee Mack a spoon and expect him to use it as a shovel.
Lee just gets stitched up with all these stories đ
8:22 His wit is so quick. This joke always gets me. đ
Love how Rob always looks over to David to see his reaction to them
It's such a pleasure seeing both Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell exercising ruthless logic against Lee.
The guy really is a genius.
He's got one of the quickest wits I've ever seen
Hello from Australia. Watch these episodes everyday . Wonderful talent and hilarious
An Aussie would get the humour đ đ
OMG!!! I spewed my tea with Leeâ rendition of nearly swallowing a hooter. What a quick brain he has.
I love seeing David and Olivia together. Peep Show nostalgia.
4 people looked but no one saw it đđđđđđ I mustâve replayed that a million times
"it's tighter to get it out, than it is to put it in" ....... đ
The crapping in the bath joke was quick and hilarious đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Part 2!!! Finally đ thank you!!
Chinese baby Steve Jenkins đđđđ
So much happened to Lee between the ages of 8 and 10...
Brilliant!
Haha, loved the Young Ones reference @ 8:24!
Lee doesn't even attempt to make his lies believable. Sort of defeats the point. đ
They give him the worst cards!
@@noneyabizz8337 That is true. He does seem to get the most unbelievable plots!
I think Alex bring's the best out of Lee.
"Thailand... no, not Thailand, ... Sock shop" How does he think of this stuff? :)
can you please explain that one to me?
@@wajihbec1087 The word Thailand, when said, could be misinterpreted as "Tie Land" (as in the name of a shop that sells neckties)... Lee then compared that with a REAL shop that sells socks here in the UK called Sock Shop. :) Makes sense?
@@jpbroadwater oh wow i would have never figured that out but it's genius! Thank you.
Leeâs great.
Do the comedians receive the cards ahead of time? It has to be the case, otherwise Lee Mack is not of this world!
No, Rob says at the beginning of every show, that they (the guests) haven't seen the cards.
Rob Brydon has stated on during interviews/podcasts that they don't: and also stated that when he and his wife go out to dinner with Lee Mack and his wife, Lee displays the same lightening wit.
Lee is well known for his quick thinking and wit.
i want lee mack on taskmaster
I've got some good news for you... season 11 !
@marijeb278 wait what?? I've watched all of the seasons, why don't I recall?? omg
The chapter says âWalk around the clockâ, surely itâs meant to be âWok around the clockâ ?
Someone explain the logic behind David's calculations please because I can't see it.
How is Lee wrong with 2/3+1/3= full tree length?
David takes 2/3, of which he says that they're actually 3/4 and then somehow 1/2 is missing - what?!
Is there something about Lee's wording that David is abusing which I don't get?
David's response of 3/4 is actually incorrect. But what he's doing is being very specific about what Lee said. If the guy was 2/3 up the tree then adding 1/3 of that amount (2/3) is actually 2/3+2/9 which is 8/9 of the way up the tree. Then David says how high he was plus half so 2/3 plus half of 2/3 which is 1/3 which would then equal 2/3+1/3= 1 Whole tree.
Lee meant how high he was plus A THIRD as in plus 1/3 not 1/3 of the distance he was already up the tree but David being sharp made a quick typical David joke out of it. Hope this wasn't too complicated đ I tried my best
I thought it felt wrong but couldnât think it out
Why don't you put your name down, for an allotment near your new home. The container garden is going to be great,I can't wait for the vids.
Whereâs part 1
Sarah was very invested in that story
Lee, David and Rob are a brilliant team!!!! Great show!
Amazing how they find mac Mitchell and brydon couldn't get no better if they tried. đ.
Can somebody help me i didn't get the Thailand sock shop joke
Homophonic pun. (Neck) Tie Land could be a shop that sells formal clothes. Sock Shop is a real online retailer for small items, including ties
Have you not seen the recent video of a boy who swallowed a whistle?
1954 isn't a leap year either. 1956 is.
Does lee mack ever tell the truth lol?
seriously, I'm gonna be SO sad when Lee dies, fucking national treasure
4:39, what did Lee say here? Because Una what?
Because Una Stubbs played Aunt Sallly in Wurzel Gummage
Can anyone explain the maths regarding how high lee was in the tree
The guy was 2 thirds up the tree. Lee says the height of the tree is "plus a third", which sounds right, but that maths only works if you're taking the entire height of the tree into account.
So there are 2 thirds of the whole below him, meaning that half of that is 1 third of the whole. A third of the tree below him would account for 1 quarter of the whole. So what Lee said would mean the guy would be 3/4 of the way up.
It's basically just the semantics of using the word "plus".
@@munky342 Iâve genuinely had to draw this out to understand
@@52341jk I had to draw it in my head to get it when I first heard it.
Can anyone explain the sockshop joke at 6:35
clothes are often made in Asian countries in sweatshops which is what I assume the joke means
Thailand i.e. Tie-Land, no it was Sock-Shop. Itâs a pleasant little pun.
Tie Land, Sock Shop
@@rms_airpods6473Thailand= Tie land. Sock shop.
I still donât understand that tree maths of David. Someone explain!
If he is 2/3 the way up then half of where he is, is 1/3 so the height of the tree is where he is plus the half ( which is 1/3)
Iâm still so confused. Explain it to me like Iâm 5.
@charliebosher9806 ok I will try again .... imagine the tree is only 6 feet .... he's 2/3 the way up the tree that means he is 4 feet up the tree .... so the height of the tree is where he is (4feet) plus another half (2 feet)
Ahhhhh! I see. Of course. Thank you!
Can anyone explain the tree thing?
Which part specifically?
Trees are plants that grow on Earth and often to huge sizes
â@@nicosmind3Cheers it was touch and go there for a minute
First Lee says the skydiver 'was about 2/3rds of the way up the tree'. Let's just say 2/3rds. And then that 'the height of the tree was how high he was plus a third'. By 'a third' Lee refers to the total height of the tree: 2/3x (of the total height) + 1/3x (of the total height) = x (the total height).
However, David thinks that 'plus a third' should refer to the 2/3rds mentioned earlier, not to the total height. David is correct in the sense that we can't use the total height as the basis of calculations, because at this point it is unknown, so the correct way is to say 'how high he was (2/3rds) plus a half' (of the 2/3rds). So, we should take the known 2/3rds and add a half of 2/3rds. The result is essentially the same: 2/3 + 1/3.
TLDR: Lee means 1/3 of the total height of the tree and David means 1/2 of how high the skydiver was, but it comes to the same result.

I canât believe David didnât catch the gigantic logical fallacy in the Railings story..
How could Lee get his head stuck in the same place at ages 9, and then again as an adult? Heads grow.
Obviously a lie
They're not the same set of railings mr couch detective, as indicated by him specifying which set of railings david is asking about, "The 70's railings."

Did anyone check David's maths on the tree thing? They all seemed to clap him as if he were right.... â + â = 1 not â + Âœ
It's the way it is worded that makes correct.
I don't think I would explain it without pictures
@@liammoody7640 I don't see how but then, I am an idiot.
If the man is â up a 9ft tree, he's 6ft up so I guess plus a 3rd of 6ft would only be 8ft, where as plus a half of 6ft would make it a 9ft tree. So it bares out. I am indeed an idiot.
