"You have to get past Pearl on reception"with a nod and a wink, and the Lee saying "Come on!"
!!!
The “oh he loves it” by Bob KILLS me every time 😂💀
I’ve never heard that till now 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Latin phrasebook one is _so_ David, it almost borders on ridiculous.
Clare Balding believing in David and Victoria's relationship is all of us
What was her opinion on John Richardson? I only seen them together on 8oo10c so that took me by surprise
Mmmm Claire balding 😋

Don't lump me in with you hopeful idiots. IT WON'T LAST!!!! It never does.
Any chance I have to rewatch "Victoria doesn't know this", I will take it.
I have been watching this show since 2009 and there is no way I'd still watch it if it wasn't for David. Lee is great but I keep coming back for David.
I completely agree.
Lee, as funny as he can be, becomes annoying.with childish dad jokes. Especially “my client would like a moment” and “you’re digging a bigger hole for yourself.” Funny the first time, much less the second and annoying afterwards.
Totally agree. For me, I much prefer David's sense of humour and grumpiness. 😊😊
@dragonsdynamite6403 Oh so agree, Lee's humour a lot of the time is just stupid, for me David's SOH is so much better. Also love Bob Mortimer on the show.
Pleasantly surprised that there was one clip I hadn't seen before! Woohoo 🎉🎉
Ooh, which one?
my guess: the first 1 (penguin)
Me too... I hadn't seen the penguin one either 😅
Penguin was also new for me.
Drunkenness is always a primer for reminiscing about how you were educated in latin 😎
David knows nothing of science, politics, high class living like many assume he does but he knows so much about history.
Eh, science and high class living maybe, but he's talked and written a fair bit about politics. Nothing particularly in depth, but he's moderately well informed at least.
Well, he did major in history in college, so it’s a pretty sensible outcome.
What have you achieved with your qualifications?
He doesn't claim to.
Victoria knew that it was a lie, I think.
When?
@@nitroputin5790 When David fiddled with the bookmarks. She helped him out to think of stuff because she knew it was a lie.
@@tombstonerforever9374 I don't think she helped him "think of stuff" - he's a very experienced improviser. She let him off the hook of having to air something that might embarrass her by giving him tacit permission to talk about the weather-forecast argument.
@@ashleyzinyk399eh, it seemed she was more creating a false argument to muddy the waters.
The bookmark lie was great, very believable; and I can very well believe Victoria has 7 or 8 books on the go too! My wife is called Victoria and reminds of Coren-Mitchell - a true bookworm, intelligent, etc moving Mrs H’s bookmark would annoy her 😂
ever since Jon and Lucy broke up the only marriage i believe in is David and Victoria
When!?!
That seemed like a long lasting relationship to me and even though i didnt follow anything about it it seemed like one of Jons greatest achievements
Nvm, i checked it, but still i am not happy about the news
Excuse me, WHAT??
@@nitroputin5790she didn’t ever treat him nicely .
He was very lucky considering the polar opposite personalities.
Re: Overly nimble - given that I'm shorter than average, my wife once remarked to friends that I am not "excessively tall." Oh...I'm TALL...TOWERING, even...just not excessively so.
David's face after "You get in (the leisure suit) and whatever happens, it's fine." 19:30. He knows, oh yes, he knows.
As a child I devised a satisfying way to play solo monopoly, but I did not utilise a face bucket.
Interesting how UK people have a higher knowledge of birds. In France, most of the people do not even know that a 'troglodyte mignon' is a bird
I suspect that in most places if you asked someone what a "troglodyte mignon" was they wouldn't know.
Yes this was my point@@googleplussuxheavilyperfum5257. In this show, and I guess generally in UK, I have the impression that everyone knew that a wren was a type of bird. In France (and I guess generally everywhere else in the world) very few know that
I just assumed that's what they called Parisians
5:00 He means pillory. Stocks are for the legs.
Moving bookmarks is devious!
I'm forever going to be upset that Holly Walsh didn’t get a story in her episode.
Who’s she
@@dragonsdynamite6403The woman on Lee's team in the last video. She's great on QI and David Mitchell's radio show The Unbelievable Truth.
I agree. I've also watched her a lot on Qi and Unbelievable Truth. She's very clever and generates a lot of fun on anything that she appears in.
My wife did the same thing with me about the weather. We're separated now, and she'll have to check the weather herself now. So i win.... in the most minor way possible.
Congratulations.
Not to worry, I keep her updated.
That he wears a nightshirt comment was brutal.
The way I knew the stocks one was a lie was because he would have said he was pilloried, given his arms were restricted (his legs would be used to being in pyjama pants).
The separate desks are so dumb. Are they like that forever now?
No, they were only there for social distancing during covid. Thankfully they're gone.

What is "Plimsol" (sp?)
Plimsolls are also known as "sandshoes", they're lightweight shoes with canvas uppers and flat rubber soles.
We called our gym shoes plimsolls. 60 years ago ! And they were only worn indoors. Only really poor kids wore them outside 😊
If it is true David uses pinless payments, surely Lee would know this. Unless David is so cheap he's never shouted for coffees or a round of beers in his presence haha.
The writers on this show love : 1. Nuclear bunkers 2. Things “getting out of hand”

Surprised that David would suggest that Station didnt exist in Latin (1 outpost, picket 2 station 3 watch) when theres so so many examples of station being used in Latin.
Even knowing the absolute basics all words that end in tion have a Latin equivalent
Perhaps different meaning.
Didn’t station relate to troops awaiting in position?
but the word "station" did't have the same meaning as "station" today because stations as we know them didn't exist. It would be what's known as "a false friend", effectively - the same word but with a different meaning. Kind of like "demand" which means, well, to demand in English but it only means "to ask" in French, doesn't it?
Too many looong commercials. I quit.
How do ppl wear pajamas to bed? Do they not choke u to death?
You people need to learn what pyjamas are... they are bottoms, and calling it pyjamas bottoms is idiotic ...
I know what you are but what am I.
It orginally means garments for legs true!
Words often change meaning though when taken into another language!
In English it has come to mean night clothes that consists of a jacket and trousers also known as pj bottoms!
Not true anymore at all.
the term pyjama bottoms has been a thing for decades lol
