  • How to water your newly planted Pindo Palm.
How often: first summer in ground. Stick your finger in the root ball and the second you no longer feel moisture, that's exactly how often.
Once established in ground 1,2 years in ground. Water deeply, let soil dry 1-2 ft then water again. The older the plant the deeper you can let dry in between watering.
How long to water? however long it takes to fully saturate the root ball its first summer in ground. Older plants; until the soil surrounding the canopy is fully saturated at least 3-6ft. How to tell?, you will need to guess based on your soil drainage.
Not mentioned in the video but if your palm is in a container, easy: Wait until 50% of the container is dry then water. How ever long that takes, that's your how often. It should never take more than a few days to dry 50%. Patreon: patreon.com/QCTropicals (Exclusive perks!)

Depending on location and time of the year you can also play with watering less, because this makes the palms establish faster sometimes. That way they grow roots faster searching for water. Watering has to be enough to keep it alive though.
