Thought you were never suppose to cut anything but dead, dying or yellowing fronds of a jelly palm

I'd love to take some leaves from my 10 yr old pindo fronds that are touching the fence. But I am quite concerned about stressing the tree by taking away foods from the tree. They are all nice and green with no single brown spot. I trimmed 2 or 3 at the max and tried to compensate the nutrients with magnesium and potassium.

I had a 3 and 4 foot pindo palm installed in April. When do you recommend pruning?

NEVER use a chain saw on your palm , use a saws all or hand saw! Don't cut above a 9 to 3 . A chainsaw is hard to control, if you cut to deep it can open the palm to trunk rot!!!

That’s just way too many green, healthy leaves that you cut off unnecessarily, and is not considered good practice.
