A fine job - it makes a world of difference in a pindo palm’s appearance ( also CIDP ).
One point of contention: your description indicates that Butias are native - they are not. They are South American.

We have a Chile Palm, looks brown, and dried out from the winter. Some green to it. Is there anything I can put in the soil to help it?

How fast do Pindo Palms grow every year? It seems like they grow EXTREMELY slow. Mine bare grow.

Its actually more likely a butia odorata.

Can this trunk be striped? Ours is 20-25 ft tall and a lot of dead wood on it as well as ferns, both green and brown (dead)

Nice job of detailing. Meticulous and somewhat tedious.

They are pretty cold hardy once they get as big as the one in the video. That little bit of protection he’s removing isn’t gonna make much of a difference.
