@@omegaPSI2006 To be frank Lovecraft was pretty xenophobic (doesn't stop his books from being awesome though). But Tolkien, not so much; even the dark-skinned Haradrims and Easterlings aren't depicted as "evil," just misled and shaped by their experience just like anyone else.

@@mallios13 how do you know elves weren't supposed to have pointed ears? tolkien describes hobbits as haveing pointed ears but less than elvish, and describes elf ears as leaf-shaped.
the idea they didn't have pointed ears is a stretch pulled by some fans, who argue that leaf-shaped doesn't mean pointed and that he wasn't refuring to his elves when he described hobbits as haveing less pointy ears than elves, the latter of which is a real stretch if you ask me.

The scary part is that all we do is pretty much complain about these loser Karen's, but in reality they are usually the ones that are winning and culture is changing for the worse.
I have accepted that the Occidental world has already past a point of no return. The freest, richest, and most affluent countries this world has ever seen are changing and becoming authoritarian, sedately retracing the steps of red China and the USSR. It is a slow process, probably germinated in the 70's, but the rate-of-change is speeding up, likely due to the ubiquity of the internet, and now COVID. I imagine some Germans and Italians felt similarly aghast back during the Weimar period. At that time, the majority of the populations were happy and proud for the social changes that were occurring. There was nothing the dissenting could do to stop the common cultural descent into madness, as it was a product of their history, culture, and the recent technological and political changes of the time. For us as it was for them, there is nothing to do except look to ourselves and to our own, watch from a distance, and hope not to be embroiled or targeted. I am frightened and saddened for what has come, and what is obviously coming. I will presently be getting as far away from the US and EU as humanly possible; failing that, building up a homestead in the middle of nowhere. The only other choice would be the nerve racking experience of hiding in plain sight, never speaking your mind and forever biting your tongue, even when morality and justice would compel your voice. For modern history has shown you need step out of line but once for you and your family to be (tortuously) destroyed by either the mob, institutions, or the State.

The law only protects us from governments not from other private citizens. Ive said this on another (unrelated) video, i get having bots to lessen the load on working people but when we start to completely rely on them for matters such as this is when we have stepped too far into a flawed automation. Sure having it check for copyrighted material (though it could be better with how it could detect such material) sounds like an ok idea but when having one respond to legal matters such as this with a generic response. You see how things fall apart. CZcams is slowly falling apart by relying on bots that can only make simple decisions or just make an email response.

I find the author of that tenuous article to be more connected to the lore than she realizes. She is on one hand a parody of Morgoth who as we know sought to corrupt life as opposed to Sauron who wanted to subjugate like she seeks to corrupt the narrative. On the other hand she is the perfect personification of the Men who accepted the rings, because she above all else desires power. Power to force you to accept that you are racist for liking Elves being depicted as they are written. Can’t make this shit up
