    I have been researching flagpole kits for a few months. we have a lot of wind where I live, so I needed something durable. The servicefirstpr... freedom edition kit will stand up to 100 mph winds. It was also important to me to support a veteran owned company, and Service First Products checked all the boxes. I got the freedom edition 25' flagpole with a light cap on top.
    The install took about 3 hours and then 24 hours for the cement to cure. The provided youtube instructions made it so easy.
    I can now proudly show off the United States of America flag. The flag that so many people gave the ultimate sacrifice for. I will always proudly fly our flag.

    Looking forward to using the flag pole kit. Dug hole and set pole holder in concrete today. Have the 25 footer with solar light. Ordered the base cover and adapter to allow the flag to be flown at half staff when needed.

    For the record plumb is up & down & level is horizontal..

    In every flagpole video I've seen people pour a bag of concrete in the hole, put the sleeve in, get it plumb and then they add another bag of concrete which moves the sleeve! LOL.....and for me, I would add the first bag of concrete, set the sleeve in there nice and plumb and come back tomorrow and fill up the rest of the hole without worrying about the sleeve moving because the first bag of concrete is now solid concrete and the sleeve will not move at all.....but hey, if there is something wrong with this idea I am listening.......

    Looks like you have water in your lower section. Did you cover the bottom of the tube you cemented into the ground?

    • @utah_outdoor_guy
      @utah_outdoor_guy  Před měsícem +1

      @RobertMacCready I replied to an earlier comment saying the only thing I would have done different is to put a layer of cement in the hole before putting it in. It does have a couple feet of water in it but it doesn't affect anything on it. You are correct that I should have layered some cement at the bottom of the hole.

    • @utah_outdoor_guy

      The light is nice. It's bright when your directly underneath. I wish a few of the lights were slightly angled out to cover more of the flag at night

      @scottgaskin8574 I am very happy with it. I live in the mouth of a canyon, and the wind blows every night. It is very sturdy, and the flags always stay in sync with each other.

      It has been great. The light still works like new. The only thing I've had to replace is the original flag. We have a lot of wind so the 2nd flag I bought was heavier duty. It is starting show signs of wear and I will be buying a new flag in the near future. I would say in a windy area the flag needs to be replaced every 6-8 months. I am very happy with the durability of the whole set up and proud to fly our American flag.

    The metal part that pops out to hold the circle so that each section won't come out on mine on the bottom most portion. I have no idea how to fix this.

    What the diameter of the flag pool at the base that goes into the ground?

    • @utah_outdoor_guy
      @utah_outdoor_guy  Před 4 měsíci

      2 7/8" Diameter (73mm OD). 11 gauge steel. That is for the 25' freedom edition.

    when your raising the pole does it try to come out of the sleeve?

    • @utah_outdoor_guy
      @utah_outdoor_guy  Před 4 měsíci

      The sleeve is tight and the pole is heavy enough it doesn't move from the sleeve. One suggestion when you install it put a thin layer of cement in the bottom of the hole before you put the sleeve in. I put the sleeve in and poured the cement around it. It will keep ground water from seeping into the pole. I failed to do that, and I can hear water in the pole when I take it down or put it up. I have had it up for about a year, and it still looks great and is perfectly straight. Install was also very easy. If the sleeve is straight, it will last for years and look great.

      @@utah_outdoor_guy one more question if you dont mind? i installed my 20'telescopic flagpole today i purchased it from the same company. my question is the clips, did you find it a little harder putting the flag on the clip because its really small? thanks

    • @utah_outdoor_guy
      @utah_outdoor_guy  Před 4 měsíci

      @Jenna-zv6ve2sx4u The clips were a little small. I forced the small end into the flag and the bigger end onto the pole. So far it hasn't had any problems with the clips
