So, after countless "stiff" videos, I found one that just does the job, and confirmed that it's not so technical. I've done two "homemade" myself, but this time I bought and extending one with a base that needs to be put in the ground first, like yours'. I'm going to add pea gravel at the base for water draining because I live in the Northeast and water will freeze in the winter.

We had a telescoping flagpole before we moved. Guess I will have to do more research as ours before COULD fly flags at half mast.

I love it! My flag pole is 25 feet, but it isn't telescoping. It has a rope for raising and lowering the flag, but I leave it up 24/7. I have a solar floodlight that keeps it lit at night.

Great video. Love how you are with your son. That flag pole is awesome, I have a UK flag but no flag pole at the moment. I was reading up on the law in the UK with flags, I believe they have to be a certain height and also if we put the little flags on cars they cant be no bigger than A4 size which is 11 and a half inches by 8 and a half. Any bigger we can get fined. xx

I just received my 25' DELTA PIN-LOCK TELESCOPING FLAG POLE KIT "FREEDOM EDITION" BLACK. I'm pleased with the 11 gauge aluminum and looks. The flag itself was a cheaper printed version, so I'm replacing it with a 3'x5' embroidered stars and stitched stripes flag. I like this flagpole because it's a telescoping and stainless pin locking system, and you can fly 2 flags. Great video of you and your son. Thanks for sharing your experience. "YEP" lol

it's doing great, it uses spring loaded buttons to lock it in place.

Mfg co says 18" by 18 square hole and 6 bags concrete. Company is Vet owned but item is Chinese.
I think that might be the difference between old glory/service first. The service first poles are manufactured overseas, slightly thinner 11ga vs 10ga, a plastic sleeve vs aluminum but they're also half the price. Currently $180 for a 25ft kit with 3x5 flag, old glory comes with no flag and for their sectional 23ft (slightly smaller 2.75" diameter vs 3" service first) is $360.
Once folks are willing to pay the price tag for a 100% american made product, small businesses are able to stay in business

I saw this flagpole company through Facebook and my question to you is what was the pipe you mounted into the cement? Size and material? Thanks
it's about 4" PVC. I like it because the flag itself isnt cemented in, so if we have bad weather I can completely remove the flagpole and bring it inside.

You're unable to. But you can lower the pole

Buy tractor supply a hog trap,that way get away trap them. Electric fence is a temporary fencing but for hogs you need a permanent fence auto waterer,self feeder make wallow hogs do not sweat need wallow cool off south heat,

Its going strong. We've had no issues. We simply bring the pole down for severe weather. It's been great

during high winds or storms I can lower it or completely take it down and put it in my garage.
