@@skrattmannen9116 no, belgium is legit 90km speed limit for trucks, most countrys 80 like germany. Downhill you can reach over 100 easily when you put it in neutral, but it is monotorized by your driverscard so u could risk a fine

The 15 liter engine turns at a maximum of about 2100rpm. It seems to have an automatic transmission, probably 10 gears.

With a tuned engine, removed speed limiter, longer gears and maybe removed weight from the actual crane part, it could even go a lot faster than 200 km/h

This reminds me of happier days driving my dad's 1984 Ford Cargo lorry when we used to do house clearances around London !
My dad had a Ford D series when I was little and i thought it was the biggest truck ever 😂 then in later years he had a Ford cargo. When you get to hold the leaver to tip a load of scrap off you are the man ☝🏽😌He used to take me to high school in it and smoke the street out 😂 also have great memories of being in the trucks with my dad. Miss my dad loads 💙

@@jonlloyd3654 Good bless your dad, Funny enough in the mid 1980's My dad used to drop me off for school and at the swimming baths and I used to look well cool in front of my school mates climbing down the steps of a nearly new A plate Ford Cargo truck ! lol Great memories and very nice looking trucks those Ford Cargos :)

My dad worked for a delivery company back in the 1980's who used to have a fleet of these Ford Cargos....about 1988 when they went bust, my dad bought his truck off them when they were selling all their vans and trucks off cheap, It started life as a white truck but somehow in the mid 1990's he painted it maroon lol... my dad kept hold of it for his house clearance business until 2020 when he retired and sold it on (I think it was the 6.2 diesel version as it had a straight 6 cylinder engine) which I remember seeing many times when he had the cab folded forwards and used to service it. Thankfully my dad is still alive at 66 years old now but since the Covid scare he's given up house clearances or even going out !, and I really don't blame him !, although it was so nice to go out and do things together even if he made me do all the work lol
