Hello my Friend!
Make authentic driving great again!
That is my motto.
I am a german car driver with 20 + years of driving experience and as you could have guessed: I love cars. I show you how I drive from my POV with two onboard cams. There is “no speedlimit“ for me, only the limit of the car can stop me. I demonstrate acceleration tests ( 0-100 kph / 0-200 kph / 100-200 kph / 200-300 kph ), high-speed-runs and test drives on the German Autobahn / Deutsche Autobahn. With my videos I want to give you a real and raw driving experience with all type of cars (manuel, automatic, electric, hybrid) and all the noises that come with it. So let‘s find out how fast I can drive, shall we? But I have one last message for you: Please don‘t test your limits on the streets when you don‘t know what you are doing. Before I film, I make sure that the car is safe. So please do that as well and stay safe, my friend. So what do you think about this car? Let me know down in the comment section! Like and subscribe for more videos 😊

That speedometer lies more than my ex...
😂😂❤
Hahaha 😂
It is lying so much that it is illegal.
Maximum tolerance is 14%, so 114 kph on the speedo for 100 kph GPS.
170 kph for 115 kph GPS is almost 50% which is insane.
its kilometres not miles dummy. Also its old and worn. mine has been chiped and i got it up to 150 kph still got some pedal left but scared of this out come. dont have the money or skills to replace the engine. Also dude wy did u do this with a cold engine? And u whant to now wy u blew the engine? BECAUSE OF THE LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT COMING ON AND U STILL GOING!
😂
Nooo, you stopped filming just when the interesting part began
I had no clue I'm gonna lose the engine after I finished the video. Luckily I started recording again.
Show it to us, pls 🥺❤@@NoSpeedLimitGermany
Will there be a part 2 ?
@rhys4538 That would be exciting. If the owner will give it in my hands one more time. Can't promise 🤣
@@NoSpeedLimitGermanywhat was happened after this, how did you get away from autobahn?
Speedometer: shows 190 km/h
Real speed: 130 km/h
Massive discrepancy there 🤔
It's due to the engine swap. The caddy got the 1.6 TD 60 ps engine of the jetta II. Engine and speedo doesn't fit well.

In heavy rain on the Autobahn in that thing going at full speed you really need some balls to do that
OH Shit At water temp was TOO MUCH !
He was going 123km/h 😂😂 normally car got some lie about 5-12/kmh but here is crazy 🤣
On weird tires
@eneacristi-gj3uj It feels scary in the curves. As you can see at 14:21 I had to close the throttle because of the road bump in front of the curve. To go full throttle over that bump in this car you really need a big pair 🤣
I could potentially do that however it's not because I'm ballsy or a good driver although I am admittedly decent at driving...it's because I am an idiot and I have brain damage so I'd definitely go full speed over the bumps and corners of the Autobahn in any dungus car however I'm probably not going to make it back home as I'd be dead
What you did was insanely impressive and ballsy especially because you survived however if I actually managed to send a car full speed though the Autobahn during extreme weather conditions it wouldn't be because I'm as good of a driver or as ballsy as you it'll just be because I'm an idiot
The battery warning light came on at approx 8 mins into the video, you can see the battery dying indicating that squealing alternator belt had snapped causing the engine to overheat. Driver error
And the cooling gauge is not wworking.
Does it not have an cam belt driven water pump?
@@s2000. early engines had a water pump driven from the alternator drive belt
It went on for a while at max output. Was a really strong engine
No, the light went back out and came back on when the engine locked up as he pulled over. If the belt broke, the light would have stayed on and never went out again.
If i ever need to explain sadness and misery to someone, i'm going to send him this video.
same for me
I feel you..
A real adventure. Driving a beater like this puts muscles on the body and mind
Everytime I watch this video I can feel this day over and over again. An unforgetable experience.
Respekt.

@@subarulegacy4203 yes, the car can still overheat even if it's immersed in liquid nitrogen or at close to absolute zero.
Older engines had water pump drive from the accessory belt. You can hear it squeaking loudly in the beginning. You shouldn't go onto a highway before tightening or changing the belt. Unfortunately the rest is history 😢
this, also i'm pretty sure the 60PS version doesn't have an intercooler, and it's never good to push a boosted non-intercooled engine on the highway for a while, despite it not making much boost. Came to this video because I was curious how did he manage to kill this warrior of an engine and the answer's right here =)
almost all vw diesels of this kind have a timing belt driven waterpump. i think that thing was low on coolant or the waterpump was near death. look at the car, maybe the oil is bonestock from vw. this caddy doenst look very good.
@@kraftstoff_bunker1975 Just had a look at my 1.6TD in a dismantled Audi 80 to make sure. It has 3 separate belts for alternator, water pump and PS pump.
@@WymiataczPlays ok, in my 1.6d vw jetta there is one belt for the alternator and the water pump is driven by the timing belt, i dont know exaclty wich engine is inside this caddy, they didnt came with an td from factory...
@@kraftstoff_bunker1975 That's pretty interesting. Nice car by the way.
Also at some point I had a Passat B4 1.9TDI 1Z. Extremely neglected and beat up car. Every 500km it broke down on me Also acc belt driven water pump. Visited my high school friend and on my way back, 90km away from home the acc belt flew off due to wobbling crank pulley and bad tensioner. I got the belt unstuck from under the timing cover, dumped it randomly OVER the tensioner arm instead of squeezing it under the pulley to tension it like it was supposed to be. The belt was flying around and barely driving the accesories somehow and I got home that way. Multiple stops to put it back on when temp started to rapidly creep up and the last 30km I went with 110*C engine temp. Nothing happened to the engine itself, or at least nothing noticeable.
"If you think your day is bad, then watch this video..."
Ha ha ha, 🤣🤣🤣
When jump-starting an engine you should always use second gear when you release the clutch. It has less torque and lets the engine turn over more easily. When you use first gear the car stops abruptly, as it did here.
Zs
I always hear that but my thoughts were different. I chose first gear because I wanted the engine to do more revs at low speed. As you can see in the video it worked out for me in the end.
@@NoSpeedLimitGermany Hey, thanks for the response. Well, if the guy pushing the car is strong enough to overcome the stalling effect you are fine. In most cases even two people cannot push a car in 1st gear so it will come to a stop as soon as its momentum is gone. If one or two revs are enough you are fine but if the car needs some convincing to start then 2nd gear is a good compromise because the helpers can keep pushing it even when the clutch is released. Hope the old VW survived this breakdown! 🤕
Zs
You made some good points. Didn't know this before. Luckily due lack of experience. 😂
@@NoSpeedLimitGermany Same thoughts here -- it's been a long time since I had to push a car, fingers crossed ☺
@@Zsolto66 Great points. Either 1st or 2nd will generally work fine, but which is better depends on the vehicle, its gear ratios, its weight, etc. Reverse works fine too if you have to roll it backwards. If you are on a hill and can pick up more speed, 3rd or higher will be smoother. It's a good idea to practice somewhere safe and get familiar with the procedure before you actually need to do it. Slight hills that will roll the car at about a fast walking pace are great for easily practicing on!
Speedo is a bit optimistic

The wipers refers to my working-morale...
@NoSpeedLimitGermany In my opinion, the loosening of the rubber cover under the engine causes the overheated oil to fall on the exhaust and burn. Because it is closed conditions, the oil has started to boil. Or the radiator has not cooled well (there is a lack of air in the hose)
The engine overheated caused by probably having no fan or alternator belt, or the water pump being bad, or having low coolant, also didnt help that the temp gauge was broken. In the end it was toasted, but I think it could still have the block saved. at the last seconds you could hear the rod knock

I mean.. that was to be expected 🤣 i personally never dared to get my old '91 turbodiesel opel above 3k rpm, it was gradually sounding worse and worse, amd also it did overheat too when i gave it the beans 🤣🤣🤣🤣 you REALLY have to drive these things with that in mind 😂 on the bright side, once it cools off, it will be as good as new, every single time 😄😄
This is the most funniest top speed run, the speedometer doesn't work wiper stuck for a moment but r.i.p 1.6td
A real exciting adventure!
Reminds me of a Datsun 200B we had, it was 4 speed and to do more than 100km/h required the foot to be welded to the floor. 😂
Oh wow! The belt probably broke... This happens sometimes... I bet an quick engine pull and it's going to be ready for more 200k again.
Unfortunately the engine is stuck. It gets a new engine soon. They are cheap to get.
No you can hear rod knock. (rod bearing failure) when that happends the rod breaks most of the time. and smash trough the engine block. This often happens with poor maintenance. not change the oil for a long time. or to low of oil
Imagine how much this car went through. It was still going strong but eventually had to meet its end. RIP VW Caddy.
I had no idea the Mk1 Caddy was still made in Europe that late. It went out of production here in South Africa in 2007. Not too many of them left now.
The Mk1 Caddy was made in Yugoslavia, somewhere near Sarajevo. Production ended in 1992 during the civil war in Yugoslavia when the factory was destroyed.
i had a 1.6TD 1V in my golf 2 orginal it woudl go gps 150 after i played with diesel pump and boost (from0.6bar to 1.1bar) over 165 its strates to overheating the problem on this motors was no IC and high RPM but whey normal driven they never break

This video to me clearly shows that you don't over push a vehicle when at high speeds aspeshily when it's not been maintained. I think a tune up and a bran new high performance rad could have helped the same as an aftermarket muffler to help it better breath an let gasses exit without restriction.

You are right. It is an engine swap. The previous engine was the 1.6 D swapped to the 1.6 TD of the jetta 2. There were no necessary further adjustments to calibrate the speedo.
It seems that the water pump is driven by the belt and not by the timing belt like I thought. All liquids were checked upfront.

Reminds me of the time where I bought a Gold 2 beater for 100Euro from Ebay Kleinanzeigen and was driving it for over 2 years as my daily. I got such muscles in my leg for pushing this shitbox because I was too lazy to replace the starter XD
I always put the cheapest diesel that I could find, did zero maintaince on it except for replacing the tires.
It had some TÜV left on it and that's why I didn't bother fixing anything.
Broken windshield washer fluid pump? Yeah, use a hand pump to push it to the nozzles.
Broken alternator? get one made for other car from some second hand car parts store.
Broken cooler? get a used one from your local junk yard XD
Yeah, this was an amazing adventure and when I was driving to my home country, the engine launched a piston rocket, damaged the hood and left me stranded 3km away from my house. I actually got the cash and was driving it on temporary license plates and that's why I called the nearest junk yard and scraped it for 139,32Euro.
Later I got myself a Opel Astra G Caravan 1.7 DTi and this was a good replacement for this piece of junk.
Would I buy a beater again? For sure, the adventure was great and I have zero regrets driving it around and learning how to fix everything
