I'm a huge Black Label fan and a fan of Zakk in general, but that's something I'll never understand. As a guitarist myself I see no benefit to it. It actually comes close to ruining some performances for me (specifically voodoo child being covered on a distorted acoustic). It's just stupid. If someone has an explanation feel free to correct me because it just blows my mind that someone so musically talented would do something so damn retarded.
These acoustic solos might be my favorites from Zakk. T.A.Z. from Sonic Brew and Chupacabra from Order of the Black are also absolutely stunning compositions. There's a lot of tension and drama in these. It catches that Spanish feel while being something completely different.
This is awesome. I love the whole kinds latin sound. When the medley changes at :27 is awesome. And i love that whole pull off thing at :31. Sweet stuff man. Zakk is pure beast.

yeah another great Randy Rhoads would stop in guitar shops for lessons when he was on tour with Ozzy. He said you can always get better, and there is always something new to learn

Zakk's riff for Speedball has been taken from J. S Bach's Fugue in A minor. To know what I am talking about, check out "Julian Bream - J.S Bach-Violin Sonata fugue", at 05:05.
Don't forget Hasan Cihat from Turkey, he is damn good also! But.......... not many can rival Zakk Wylde, sadly I have only seen him twice in concert but both times it was the best guitar show i have EVER seen, that and Dimebag Darrell, I only saw Pantera once in 2000 but it was also bad ass.
All you can say is that speed doesn't matter.. it just Helps alot.. Both Randy, even Zakk looked up to Randy, and Zakk.. they both have different styles.. i personally love both... all you can say is that both of them kick just a little ass.. and its useless comparing guitarists.. some guitarist shred, some do not, but in the end all you need is Passion and Emotion...
Zakk used an electric to make it sound like an acoustic and he uses acoustics to make them sound like electrics...

Zack has a ton of confidence in his own playing, which is what sets him apart from a ton of other guitar players. Also, his technique is very good.
