thanks for watching :~)
your desire and struggle to cover the book in depth is a whole response work unto itself -- i so very much relate, and i know a lot of others do as well. for my part, i find that enthusiasm and apprehension really go together, because there's so much i want to say, so much "pressure" to cover the most salient points. but it's mostly impossible!
that aside, this really was a very good dive into a book with a lot of things to talk about!
ahhh i love this comment!! wanting to do the book justice and explore all of its ideas but it’s such a difficult undertaking. i’m glad i’m not the only one that struggles with it! thanks for tuning in 🤩
40+ MINS HECK YEAH
So glad you made this video! I love Elkin’s writing (Flaneuse was great!) & Art Monsters is on my list of things to get to. I took a book club with her during the pandemic on Gertrude Stein. She always had something thoughtful to bring to the discussion.
i neeeed to read flaneuse as someone that enjoys a good walk 😂 that book club sounds like such a great experience, i love it!! thanks for tuning in :)
What a great deep dive! Thanks for reviewing this, it sounds super interesting ❤
thank you for tuning in!! 🫶🏻
It IS hard! Oh yes. The book does sound interesting!
i really do recommend the book! found so many different artists to explore because of it ☺️
the gallery wall is gallery-ing
she steals the show
does the kenny picket crewneck count as art
it’s more of a performance art piece
but also i can’t wear it out of my apartment anymore
