She mentions an amazing line from the second sex and from the virgin suicides so I picked those up + I had some of Elena Ferrante's books but exploring her in the essay has moved her up on my priority list to read. thanks so much for this video!! so many good recs 🙂

In the Dream House was my favourite book I read last year. I recommend it to everyone. I enjoyed Her Body and Other Parties as well, but In the Dream House is a masterpiece in my opinion.
I would recommend Other Colors by Orhan Pamuk, The Plague by Jacqueline Rose, Breaking the Bread with the Dead by Alan Jacobs and How to Read Now by Elaine Castillo.
