Built it and it took me over 3 hours
"Survival" and "starter base". I built this after beating the Wither and the Ender Dragon... and still struggled with materials
Apart from the dark oak you should be able to find all these resources in the early game. Just a matter of setting up tree farms for the wood. Also you can use spruce in place of dark oak.
@@YanoshDanosh I had a great spawn next to a dark oak forest so I was fine. But I feel this could be hard for some. You have a great point tho.
It is not a starter base, it doesn't say that. However is still a lot of wood needed.

Depends where you spawn. I had such a lucky seed which spawned me next to all the types of wood
This building takes 1000 years longer when you build it in survival.
I'm doing that right now on our server. Also, he messed up and said those 2nd level Balconies are 5x5 and it's actually 6x6....
I mean. It's only because he didn't explain it right. He should have said 5x5 Not including the 1 block from the 2nd level main area. I was so confused at first.

@@Whitey23 Not long at all, I don't have an exact time because I went afk multiple times but the overall build is done, I just need to add the little decorations! There was a couple times where I had to go gather resources too so that added to the time it took.

For the people who do this on survival like me don’t 🤦🏻♂️ it took me 5 and a half hours to gather all the resources and build the house. And I gathered the materials with diamond everything so have fun if this is your starter house
This is our starter house and we made it for the boys and it took 8 hours with iron/stone
This is the first of your videos I have seen, and I have to say that the house design is beautiful and very inspirational for me, and the tutorial itself was very well done. However, from the title of the video I was expecting you to cover what to include on the inside which would give it "everything you need to survive". This expectation was the reason for me clicking on the video (I often have trouble with interior layout) and thus is why I have not awarded this video a like.

When he only builds the house and doesn't tell you what you need to survive, it's disappointing.

Step one : get 4 saplings and plant them in a square
Step two: bone meal the shit out of them

@@kezo_fps or just travel too, go to a grassland biome chop about 5-7 trees down about 10~ samplings each. Plant them all, as you said a square AND BOOM. Tree farm! I do this in my survival but can't for Jungle & Acacia wood?

I really liked the look of the "deck" (pressure plate+fence)... but i kept falling through and getting stuck in the fence... anyone else with this problem?
That really annoyed me. The wandering trader and a creeper (that exploded btw) got stuck in it too 😰.

Nick Deleon I did it all in survival. Some of my friends helped me since we all have a survival server we play on together. It’s definitely lengthy because of all the wood u need but also worth it in the end. My friends were in awe of this house. For the interior once u close all the walls up there’s for sections with a square in the middle so I used the four sections for different purposes like, furnaces anvils and crafting in one, bed, and storage in another and enchantments and stuff in the other
I found this video in my playlist from when I first built this house in 1.14BR, which also happens to be my first ever survival world.
Im still using this base to this day and it’ll forever be my home in minecraft. Thanks for the tutorial man

Just finished building this in survival. I like it a lot. I did a couple things different like a row of glass on the top of each rooms roof to let more light in, used lanterns for the lighting source underneath and used slabs for the walkway underneath since you can fall through pressure plates and get stuck inside the fence posts. Overall easy to follow, minus the time you said you were using birch and didn't correct yourself till way later 4:12 -

I wanted something special for a couple hours I searched and as usual, I came back to A1MOSTADDI TED!!! This one is exactly what I want!
It looks good but theres one thing that makes it unsurvival friendly. You fall through pressure plates so even though it looks good, you will end up falling in between the fences and have to break it. You could try either using brown carpet or a combination of slabs and stairs to try and get a similar effect. The slabs and stairs could give a good design if you use spruce and then use pressure plates on top
But it does look very good and im going to be building it. Thanks for the great vid
IKR. I thought the same thing so I opted for sandstone blocks and stairs in roughly the same layout. Same color, more secure footing.

Tutorials (across all channels) always seem to go too fast. I've done one other of AlmostAddicteds and it works to just watch a bit pause, do the build then watch more. He's actually very thorough and makes easy to follow tutorials.

So i built my own version based off of this build in creative because i had so many ideas for the interior layout etc. as well as the gardens.
while building, in creative, lightning struck the building and it caught on fire!!! ugh!!!! covered it with buckets of water and the fire still managed to burn quite a lot of one of the roofs..
so that was fun.....
basically in survival better hope fire doesn't get near this build or you basically will loose the whole thing... or turn fire spreading off!
