I remember one time I was going to try to make a list of my top 10 albums. That quickly became top 20. Then, top 50. I think I finally gave up somewhere around 250. 😂 I gotta respect your ability to actually stick to a number, then, to be able to put them in order, and, finally, to explain your choices. You seem to have much different musical tastes than I do, which is great, because I'm getting a lot of recommendations for stuff I've never heard. I don't expect to love all of them, but I might, at least, find one or two that a really like, which is great. Thanks for sharing your list, it's very interesting and informative.
Thank you Scott! Part of the fun of doing these videos is to turn people on to music they may have never heard of or taken seriously. It’s no easy feat narrowing it down to 100 but this is as accurate as I could get without spending too much time overthinking it.
Hi Jeff!!! great one and the list keeps getting better and harder..... I think some Beatles fan are going to be pissed off and maybe a couple of Pink Floyd's too..... cheers and be well
I feel you on your Rubber Soul riff. On any "Top 100" list, pretty much every album is gonna be a GREAT album, so there's never really a need to justify why an album is ranked so high, but we feel the need to justify why one is so LOW!
Another great list . Yes , we need that Rubber Soul remix , and yes , Jeff , it's too low on your list . My preferred version is the US version . Love seeing Love Over Gold on your list . Great Costello and Doors album choices as well . Here's my list of 60 - 51 : Edgar Winter : They Only Come Out at Night Various : Jesus Christ Superstar. ( original version with Ian Gillan ) ZZ Top : Deguello 10CC : Bloody Tourists Rory Gallagher : Irish Tour '74 Spirit : The 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus The Faces : A Nod is as Good as a Wink to a Blind Horse Rod Stewart : Every Picture Tells a Story The Clash : London Calling Roxy Music : Stranded Thanks !!
Great list! So many of these I need to check out. I actually saw a stage production of Jesus Christ Superstar last year and it reminded me hook great that soundtrack is.
I’m coming into this series mid countdown. I am not a big REM guy but heard all their stuff a lot as friends at the time played them incessantly. I actually like a few songs on Automatic For The People. The Smiths of course! OK Computer is Radiohead’s best. It’s a real mind blower like a good Pink Floyd album. Love Over Gold…”the majesty of these songs” as you said. Agree with you that Industrial Disease doesn’t really belong. Harvest is essential.
Definitely got some classics in here. AFTP is a mature REM but in a good way. A couple of these I don’t really know, so I can’t comment much. Rubber Soul and Morrison Hotel are obvious classics. After this list is done I’ll probably be like “Where the fuck was (fill in artist name)!” 😂. That’s what makes these lists so much fun!
I do not own anything by REM, Smiths, The The (worst fucking name in the history of music). Blasphemy! OK Computer reminds you of DSOTM? You are officially cut-off from any further VCLT. I own 5 of the 10 you showed. I thought the picks would get better as you closed in on the top half? WTF Jeff? In all honesty, I think your Deep Dive of 'This Was' was much better video......

Another great entry. That's such a great REM record. I'm with you, Rubber Soul needs a new set. Ram, what a record!
Thanks Sam! RAM is my jam!

Haha…just wait Cristian. I’m sure there will be plenty of controversy to come. Cheers! 😉
Killer video Jeff! Great choices, a few more that will make my list! Phenomenal job brother 👍🤘🤘
Thank you brother! The bottom of my list was way more difficult than the top half.

Thanks Mike! Radiohead was Pink Floyd for the 90’s generation. If I had room I would include Kid A and Insomniac on my list as well.
Awesome bro
Got to love harvest

Thanks Gary! Hopefully there won’t be too many WTF moments. 😃
Rubber Soul, RAM, The Doors, Neil Young, REM! Wow…what a list! I’m gonna go night swimming right now!

Just as Giant was an exceptional closer to Soul Mining , The Mercy Beat expertly closes out Infected. Sweet Bird 🐦 Of Truth my favorite track.
