I love those ifixit spoof commercials. Why did the “extreme!” Style of commercial ever go away?! I’m hyped and wanna buy some RIGHT NOW *more explosions*
Will the iFixit kit fix my parents’ marriage in time for Christmas? Asking for a friend 🥺
I bought a kit and it already helped me built a couple PCs at work and my own build. Great product.
@@MrJLee483 well hopefully your parents relationship gets better if not I hope for the best for u
Its annoying and cringe
Ifixit has 1 problem: they are so good you only buy it once
I feel like there should be a 90º connector, like the one you used to adapt the power cables to go up, but have it go down directly into the manifold instead. Then you don't need any cables at all.
Or like a short run of cable that looks decent
WOW, Jay sent you his number!
And I can't even read it XD
Scammers really hit the bottom.
The problem is that the connector is too close, I think the power distribution should be a little farther away from the motherboard, and you still need some flexibility to connect both ends.
If you can get the ribbon cable in custom lengths, why not just a little, 1" one that comes out the MB and does a neat 90 ark into the backplate? You can normally do pretty tight bends with ribbon type cables.
THIS!
Regards from Tabasco, México [Land of The Olmecs]!
As a machinist, your attention to the parts makes me happy. Hopefully somewhere down the supply chain someone looks at my work and says good things.
If what you are making functions well I have no doubt there are plenty of people grateful for your work
Some metals flex less than others. As an aircraft mechanic I have seen all sorts of alloys. True titanium alloys don't flex under normal conditions. That's what this case needs for footwear.
My eyeglass frames are titanium. Had them for 25 years. Unbelievable what they have made it through.
Even some 6160 aircraft grade Alu would be much stiffer.
Wouldn't the price skyrocket (aircraft mechanic, see what I did there? No? I'll see myself out.) if you add titanium alloy to the frame?
@@molnarlevente7309 it would dramatically sky rocket to the moon... would be easier/cheaper to just design it better with some triangular supports.
@@molnarlevente7309 nice, yes, it would be a considerable price increase, but the folks that buy this kinda thing aren't concerned about that. I was under the impression this case is already in excess of a 1000 bucks. I won't be buying one but I like Jay's videos of stuff like this.
Wow. That is a badass chassis. Build yourself a new pc Jay. I wanna see the finished product with that.
What’s the chassis name and mode number?
he is did you listen to end he said he will be considering upgrading it for his 100 system that he has okay man. 😱🙄😉🙂🧐🤔🤨
Seasonic has a case (Syncro Q7) and power supply (Syncro Connect) with a very similar concept. I bought the case and power supply earlier this year and absolutely love it!
I build servers as my day job and one thing I like is the motherboard is a huge power board if you will that makes building so much easier. I love this concept coming to the consumer space. Please build in this and mod it to what you would daily use on it. Would like to see what you can do with this concept
well a few cables is easyer to make then a power board like that think of the waste oi know its easy to build like this but a few cables going threw the case wont hurt the performance linus even did a test on it hoping to show that you get better airflow with good calbe management the test show olmost no differnce
Happy holidays and thanks for the videos! Just realized how much I've learned the last couple months watching your stuff. Build a pretty great pc in 2013 (it still works, pretty much...) Still rocking it, but planning my next build. I'm a rookie but love it. Want to build the best machine I can within $$ constrains. You and your fellow youtube people have given me so much info. Thanks again!
I didn't hear or see it mentioned in the first-look here. The case as he received it retails for $2,243.00 US total. The pump and front reservoir are optional add-ons. The PowerBoard for that case is $299.00 extra. Base price for the case is $1,399.00.
Yikes, people with money to spend just because they have money will love this.
That front res is completly unnecessary. Would rather have a rad/fans up there.
@@lyianx just have to imagine spending this much on a case now and half a year you can gaze upon your outdated hardware in your two thousand dollar case lol.
Right?! I REALLY like this case but that price is completely unrealistic
@@ferretkiller9454 even better.. upgrade some hardware or have something fail and nothing in your shiny expensive case will line up anymore and none of the custom cables you spent extra on fit anymore... GG i'd rather have the "clutter" of standardized cables in my regular case than this clownshow. This is apple levels of stupid (and expensive for that matter)
That is a fantastic looking case. I would love to see a build using it.
Damn that black version is incredible. Daniel and his team do amazing work. Can’t wait to see more of this case.
That chassis… *chef kiss*, especially in the black. The power board idea is so cool.
Really love this review, the case looks awesome. Being an owner of an O11 dynamic, I'm really interested in seeing how the powerboard looks/works with that case.
Same here! Too bad the website does not show pictures on that o11 powerboard in an actual case 😬
@@m0rphaza probably a copyright edge-case/ issue... Singularity could probably claim "fair use" but they might also have to waste a lot of time and effort defending it in court. easier to just not have it come up at all.
I was thinking a custom, very short, 24-pin cable between the MB and the powerboard instead of that weird looking 90-degree adapter just to get the cables come back from the top.
Congratulations you have received a cat pat, pat your cat to claim the prize!
You are hands down, one of the only creators that are featuring new exclusive products and custom case companies on youtube at present. Great video and thanks for showing us average viewers different types of content. Keep up the good work.
One of the coolest cases I've seen. I love seeing all the prototypes and special edition things that are sent your way to show.
Thanks Jay evga 3060 on the way because of you telling us about their notifications program!!!!! 5 months later 399.99
screaming deal there
@@Alex-zi1nb right big upgrade from 1060 3gb
Been following Daniel/Singularity for nearly a decade now. He's always done incredible work, and I'm really amazed at how far he's come since the days when he worked alone.
This does make it look incredibly clean! I'd love to see something like the powerboard available as a separate product, for those of us who have cases that have plenty of space without it being for specific cases.
I feel this would also be extremely interesting with the new ATX 12VO standard too.
Am I the only one who noticed that if this 90 degree 24pin adapter was the other way around, it would be perfect?
Obviously, the pins would have to be rearranged, but that's not a big problem to solve.
I would love see you Jay to build a computer with this chassis.
I built a custom PC themed Poseidon using some of their products. Their team is amazing and have no problem communicating with us little guys. I'm currently saving for a BIG build for myself. And I plan on using one of their cases for this build.
As much as I wanted to see the InWin 925 again, I don’t blame u for going with this case. It’s glorious.
OMG, please do a build with this. That case is so sexy.
Would those stand-alone powerboards be mountable on a wall or similar surface without a case? I have some crazy desk plans.....
i mean... if you're not using ANY case at all, sure why not. they're designed to go into the spectre/ o11D/ 5000D cases... but if you're already mounting directly onto/into a custom desk, no real reason you couldn't. but then again, they sure ain't CHEAP either... if you already have the router, it's probably worth the time and effort to just get custom cabling ordered, and carve out channels under the desktop to hide it in, vs buying one of these for $300+
@@tzxazrael Well, I like the built in reservoir too. But yeah, I'd asked before I looked at the prices.
@@joehelfrich7456 yea the built-in reservoir is not part of the POWER board. that's literally just a circuit board that pushes the power connectors around. i mean i LOVE Singularity's cases... but that doesn't mean i can afford them xD
Is the desk made out of wood? I saw some cool wooden pc cases people made. But the comments section went crazy over it being wood and complained about it being a fire-hazard and not protected against EMI. I think desks with built-in PCs is the way of the future.. or even the PC built into the wall and you just have a small table in front of you just big enough to hold your keyboard and mouse. The monitor will also be set into the wall like some rich people do with their big flat screen televisions. Because one thing about PC cases and our desks is they take up a lot of room in our houses especially for those like myself who have our PC and Desk in the bedroom. So I like the idea of combining the PC into a desk/wall to free up space. Surely I'm not the only one.
@@vertigo6982 pc's IN the desk is what the 80's thought was going to be "the way of the future"... but then a couple of people tried it, and realized how impractical that was. it looks -very- cool... but it is NOT convenient to upgrade or repair. maybe someday when (or IF) desktop pc's finally plateau, and it stops making sense to upgrade some parts every year.
Thanks to you I finally pulled the trigger on buying an ifixit kit! Can't wait for it to arrive!
Love the black manifold. Think this is my next case. I have loved their products for years.
Since you now have 2, I want to see 2 builds in that case, 1 by Jay and 1 by Phil and Nick
Aside from the obvious fun of a "JTC Crew Build-Off" concept, if Phil and Nick are in front of the camera then we know who has to be behind it. Challenge accepted?
god i love the ifixit commerials so much i will never skip them. and i love how it started off with you doing goofy shit even before they sponsored you
Jay - as always - your knowledge is so beneficial (for everyone). I'm also a massive fan of Singularity - so this is definitely on the Christmas list. Great work everyone.
Back 2006 I built a machine using a black light reflective all acrylic case. It was quite the show piece at LAN parties. It's pretty cool to see the clear cases still being done.
I hope the make a PowerBoard for the O11DXL as well i would love that.
I have been following singularity computers for years and have already bought several products from them, always totally awesome, it's one and good technology. Keep up the good work.
The power boards are $299.00. Still want one?
@@whpony96 have one on order for the 5000D. If money is an issue, no reason to even go to their website lol
@@nickh8649 Sorry, man but $299 for a proprietary power distribution circuit board. No F'n way....
But you know what they say "A Fool and his money are soon parted...."
@@whpony96 Whats worth it to someone is different from person to person. The entire Singularity line is very expensive, even one of their cases run from minimum $700. If you arent willing to spend that kind of money thats fine, but it doesnt mean something wrong with someone else spending it. I can buy 5 distribution boards, break all of them on purpose and not think twice about it. It all depends on the financial position of the person buying it and what its worth in their eyes.
Just because you dont think its worth it or cant afford it, doesnt mean something is wrong with people who think the opposite. Going as far to quote that these people, including me, are fools is just a salty stance to take. Ill do what I want with my money. Especially since its throwaway disposable income that I will make back while im sleeping just because im on retainer.
Stop being salty that people can afford more than you or have different tastes.
@@nickh8649 You only proved my point. "A Fool and his money are soon parted...."
I watched singularity computers on CZcams long before I watched Linus or Jay. So proud of their evolution.
Same here. I "found" Jay when he did the Post Malone build because Daniel shared that video
From advertising on local Dominos calendars to manufacturing custom chassis, Singularity has come a long way.
This case is just incredible... and the powerboard is such a great idea ! Can't wait to see the final result.
Prerouted power/powerboard concept is a brilliant idea. If it is not subject to some kind of patent protection, it's something I'd like to see other case makers consider adding to their own designs.
13:44 @JayzTwoCents You must remember that cables do require a minimum bending radius. A 90Deg bend will create a hotspot in the cable that will result in premature failure. The closure you approach 90, the great the increase in degradation. Each cross section/gauge of cable will have a minimum so there will be a constraint on how much you cable turn your supply cables. If you wanted a strict 90, the PCB route with defined traces maybe the best option (which of course will require precise measurements and be subject to cyclic thermal wear over time).
I actually would like the look of a roll of electric tape wedged in.
Very industrial chic look.
That case is lit can’t wait to see it finished
your i fixit ad is legend
Seems like the sagging and flexing could be easily fixed with a 3d printed bracket.
That case is pure extortion priced. You'd think wobble would not be an issue.
Don't think people live in wobbling shacks anymore.
$1,400 and a 3d printed part (that you make yourself) to get this case to not wobble lol.
In my experience using 90 degree adaptor, cable extensions or ribbons etc on the power devliery is a B A D IDEA. I have measured considerable differences in the voltage after having these fitted which can affect the stability of the machine, especically when overclocking. So I advice against powerboards. Measure it for yourself. You will see.
Oh my gawd! Drools! Expensive, custom hand made case....love it! Thanks for showing that off.
I love that your also a car guy. That fact you know how anodising works is a nice touch.
Not even close to the coolest thing I've seen for PCs
What is?
Looks gawdy to me....
The IFIXIT ad is literally the only ad I want to see from anyone. And that's why I'm gonna buy a set.
Ugh the final build will be gorgeous.

Sweet system. Can‘t wait to see a build with it. Keeping those powerboards in mind for a future build of my own.
I absolutely cannot wait to see a build in this!
WOW! What a work of art‼️
Power distribution plates on drones was a game changer, makes perfect sense to do the same for PC chassis. Now I want an addon pdb for my current case...
I can’t wait for this build. I want that case
That looks really cool having 1 pcb be the power distribution built into the case and water cooling res... Like wow cant wait to see a full build in that!
Omg, really looking forward of a build video with this case
I can’t wait for this build
I can’t wait to see this all put together!

Agree big time with the packaging comment. I felt the same way when I received my desk mat from Jayz store!
That looks like an amazing case, I'd love to see you do a build in one!
geez the etching really makes the board look that much better.
I really hope they consider making this a thing you can order
I love when this case gets updated .. I'm gonna work with one one day
Looking beautiful love it
Really like Singularity stuff...glad you are going to use it this time around.
I'm so hyped for a baller system built in the black version of the case with that motherboard!
I’m really loving the idea of a power board. I think it could be a major change to the industry with some work. I also think this concept would work spectacularly with ATX12V to eliminate cable clutter.
The additional blackout is nice for the extra contrast.

When you said the boards are being sold separately for certain popular cases, you had my attention. Definitely going to be giving them a look!
Awesome case, definitely do a build in it
One of my favorite pc "cases" 👍🤙
I love that you are using this case for you build! I find it ironic that it was one of my suggestions and low and behold, here we are. Pretty excited for the build video!
I've been thinking so many times that I'd want to make something like the powerboard, just lacking the know-how.. Well, learning that there's someone selling "it" means I will definitely have to look them up.
So damn cool! Very cool Singularity!!!!
As a Spectre 2.0 owner I'm both encourage to see Singularity Computers keep pushing, but jealous of the nice improvements they have made. The Spectre 2.0 could totally have a powerboard retro fitted, I wish they made one for it.
I'm running Singularities pump/res comb and really like it. I had an issue early on in my build with a leak at the pump top and Singularity replaced it (via PPCS) right away.
Can't say enough about them, great company and really unique products.
I absolutely need to see a build in this 😍
Singularity is what got me into water cooling in 2013, Daniel is a brilliant guy
