Lovely tree Tony! I was going to trunk chop a young hawthorn for primary branch development this year, but I think I missed the opportunity, as it's already started growing quite vigorously. When would you say the next best opportunity would be, or should I just wait till late winter next year to be safe? I'm in 9b SE UK

They are slightly different insofar as they do not create 'clusters' when cut
