One week down in 2022 and I tell you, this year I think is going to be quite astounding. After the eventful year we’ve just had in 2021, it is easy to forget just how far we’ve come in 12 months. We are exploring the past and SpaceX's Crazy Future with the help of the terrific 3D artists out there always helping to bring this story to life. Then, finally, we’ve got a bit of a surprise that we’ve worked on with Elon's latest Starship Presentation Condensed. You are going to love this!

The condensed Elon speech with animations was powerful and explains so much in a short amount of time of why these efforts are more than just about money and more about making sure humanity survives.

As many channels I watch on SpaceX, yours has lots of animated renders. Key difference: Yours is usually the first place I see a particular render, long before the others find it. I look forward to the weekend for this, thank you for your hard work, and that of the visualizations creators. 🙏

The animatitons are getting a bit more realistic, though they still ignore the dramatic effects that all those Raptor engines are going to have on the GSE tank farm, so scarcely protected as it is from those Raptors when the booster is lifting off and still fairly close during the first twenty seconds or so. With no blast diversion system to direct the rocket exhaust away from the GSE tank farm, those tanks will experience hundreds of tons of force trying to knock them over, which would release massive quantities of LOX and liquid methane, among other things, and ignite the mixture. That would probably void the warranties on a number of expensive things, and be featured on the front page of many papers and magazines, which SpaceX probably does not prefer to happen.

Man, that segment with the animations of starships setting off on voyages of exploration and Elon talking about what SpaceX’s plans are really got to me. Just perfect Marcus.
It really hit me when Elon said “if we took 10% longer to evolve of the time that it took us to, it wouldn’t have been possible.” Damn.
All of the fantastic quality of animation and rendering would be on par with what SpaceX are doing in house.
This felt like one big add for the entire SpaceX community and the company itself. And I’m not mad about it. Frankly I think this should be in national TV

Incredible amount of high quality produced by the space enthusiast community and I’d like to add my thanks to them all. As a life long space nut (I’m now 56) it’s incredible to be around when we have both the technical capability and the passion to produce so much content FOR FREE. It makes me feel good that humans can cooperate and share without trying to strip a buck off you (although there’s nothing wrong with those who donate to the cause). Another great vid Marcus & team.

Elon's speech at the end was really eye opening, he's really started the journey and fired the starting gun of humanity racing to form a civilisation off Earth and beyond the stars, crazy that in a couple of hundred years humanity could potentially have space travel and ships in the sci-fi films you see, you never know.
He didn’t say anything new. It’s the same stuff he’s been saying for years.

@@Veldtian1 well starlink is far better than any other options we had in our area. It was literally business saving for us. Never notice it being down other than a few seconds now and then. Far better than the services we paid for, that just seem to get worse and worse. 2mbps at best multiple drops per hour some for 15-20 minutes. Constantly restarting modem. All for $106.00 CAD a month.

SpaceX content providers are indeed awesome, and much appreciated - but we'd all be in the dark if SpaceX weren't so gracious in allowing it... hell, even subtly encouraging it! We sure don't get such openness from other rocket companies. Great show, Marcus!
And the others really don't have as much to show to begin with. New Glenn is where? Boeing is having troubles with every turn they take. ULA is bogged down by Blue Origin which can only do CGI it seems. None of them have been as open with things as SpaceX has. Hopefully Sierra Nevada Corp can join in with their plans.
It is incredibly appreciated the support you give to the 3D artists. You made a huge difference with promoting our calendar last year which also allowed me to make some very needed upgrades to my setup.

@@tilmerkan3882 In reality they would be a lot further away from each other. ;-) You'd only see the full formation if you were looking at them from a great distance, like from Earth.
@@Kevin_Street Not really, you might even see them in clusters. No reason that you couldn't gang them up while in LEO and go a groups. My question is though as to what do we send back to replace the materials used to leave the Earth? Going to have to start mining materials from asteroids or maybe one of the moons of Saturn to keep things sort of balanced.

With the incredibly high quality by all the artists, etc... I'd be curious how many have been approached by SpaceX either for full time or contract work. Absolutely amazing how over the top these artists work are and what they bring to your channel Marcus is just priceless. Artwork + Narration = Amazing Education for the topic(s) at hand. It may be too soon to think about it, but can you imagine what amazing things will come after Starship? If we think of spaceflight as an analogy of aerospace, Starship would be the Lockheed Constellation. Little more than 20 years later we had Concorde. What will the next 20 years bring? Wowzers!
My favourite weekly series, very good quality, watching is pure pleasure and inspiration. Our future will be amazing if Starship works out funded by Starlink. SpaceX might be best company that was created in human history.

The quality of 3D models and animation of starship has been getting more and more detailed and realistic. The presentation in this video seems almost of similar quality to what spaceX would release. I am just really impressed with the dedication of this whole community and how far they have come.
Half of this video was accolades given, and I’m all for that. So many smart people have been inspired by this vision and dream that Elon and his team has sparked in all of us, it’s a great honor that we get to see their work and know who they are. Thanks to you all for making us dream. 🙏🏾

Thank you for another wonderful video. Those incredible artists make such a difference, I couldn't imagine this channel without them. In your video where you explained how exogenous pressurization works the animations were vital. And this business of catching Starship with big arms while it descends didn't make any sense to me until the artists you showcase brought Mechazilla to life with their renders. It's incredible how they can look at photos and videos of parts lying on the ground and imagine how the completed mechanism will work.
And Elon Musk... Yeah, his vision is amazing. The guy certainly has his flaws, but without that vision and drive _none_ of this would be happening. He brought together a company with nearly ten thousand brilliant people and they've been steadily bringing this dream to life. They're really going to do it. I don't know the exact time scale involved here, but I believe him when he says he's going to make humanity a multi-planet civilization. The near future is going to be incredible! And after that, maybe anything will be possible. Little kids like Elon's son will grow up in a world where we have permanent bases on the Moon and Mars, and rockets that can travel to anywhere in the Solar System.

SpaceX's progression is just amazing.. when I first watched those landing legs successfully deploy and land a rocket booster I knew something special was happening.. it's so awesome.. and we also get the James Webb telescope.. I can't wait to see some crazy data that comes back..

Great 3D work. They are so good that everytime my elderly father with a touch of dimentia watched one he thinks he is watching live launches. He is convinced there are hundreds of Starships up there.
"We'll certainly have propulsive landing very reliable on Earth as we've been able to achieve with the falcon 9 booster. It's now quite normal for the rocket to land safely"
Imagine telling someone from 2012 that in 10 years this would be something we could say. We are living through history and science fiction all at the same time.
I thought it was funny him talking about the Europa Clipper mission. I remember NASA talking about the mission before SpaceX even existed. What an achievement for SpaceX to have come this far.
